I came in for help searching for a car key battery.. she told me it would be 20$ for her to touch my key and replace the battery which would be another 10$ She wouldn't even help me take the old battery out she stood there watching me fumble.. This is a review for my first time visit to this Batteries Plus store! I will be back for sure after the good experience I had. This location is in Folsom near the Round Table and Ashley Furniture Store. Parking right in front. Easy to find. I was recommended to this place by another business because I needed watch batteries. I didn't know they did watch batteries here! I had two watches that needed replacement batteries. The gentleman greeted me right away, changed out my two batteries for me and I was on my way in about ten minutes! Outstanding service. Each watch battery is $10 with the replacement done while you wait. They also have a service where you can do lifetime watch battery replacement for $17. This is now my go to for this service. I can't express enough how happy I went here for my son's iPhone. It wasn't charging and we went to Verizon, he's a tire technician and works on his own vehicle, so we figured it was filthy and needed to be cleaned. Verizon took it in back and said they didn't do it and they could sell me a new phone since I didn't have insurance, or I could go to best $uy. We went there to Geek $quad and he also took it in back and said they'd have to take the whole back part off and it would he around $450. So I went to batteries plus. The sweetest worker told me she would try cleaning it and it would be $15 if that worked, or around $150 if the charging port needed to be replaced. Great customer service. They don't know much about batteries though. I guess people like their cell phone service. Maybe they should change their name to Cells phones plus. I know I've communicated with district managers and got little help with battery issues. I can't say I really ever want to go there ever again for battery needs. I came in because 2 service shops tested the X2 battery that I had purchased from Batteries Plus and said the cranking amps were low. I walked into the store and explained this to Jesse. He was very eager to help, tested my battery and agreed it needed to be replaced under warranty - no questions asked. He installed the battery and explained how the warranty worked, pointed out some corrosion on my battery cables (still did his best at cleaning them). He was very thorough with the install. "You only get one chance to make a first impression", and BOY did these people blow it. Insanely horrible customer service. I am still shocked about the mistreatment. We were given an 8:30 appointment. We showed up at 8:30 and were told that their "Tech does not come in until 9:30 a.m." Pardon? Why were we given an 8:30 appointment then? It gets worse.... We return at 9:30 a.m. "Tech still isn't in, come back at 10:30 a.m." This is insane. HOW RUDE! We are left to wander the streets of Folsom waiting to give these people BUSINESS? And we had OTHER appointments and other things we wanted to do with our lives that day, not wait on some Tech who, evidently, is free to show up whenever he pleases for work. We went back at 10:30. The man working is helping one customer, and there are two other customers inside. The Tech comes out and starts helping OTHER customers. Wait a minute. We had the 8:30 appointment, why were WE not taken first? We wait, and wait, and wait. FINALLY he finishes with other customers and decides to help us. Sorry, Batteries Plus, but your customer abuse STINKS. Your appointment system should "jive" with your tech's actual work schedule. And your on-site employees should not tell us to "come back at 9:30, when he isn't coming in until 10:30 a.m." What a waste of a morning. We won't ever return. read more

Beware of the screen repair scam. 1) they do NOT use OEM screens. They use low quality screens that break easily - even when never dropped and protected from day 1 by a screen protector. 2) Their 6 month warranty is not honored if their low quality screen cracks. 3) they accused us of dropping the phone - it was never dropped. 4) they like to argue with customers. Even with the uncracked screen protector in front of them they argued that it was cracked - but all the cracks were underneath the screen protector - their cheap aftermarket excuse for a screen. Last time I was in the store I witnessed a snippy unprofessional argument with another customer who was having a warranty issue. Do yourself a favor, spend the additional $50 and Get a real screen from Apple. read more

I located this business on Yelp and saw that they were open on Memorial Day. I spoke with Kushal and let him know that we had an iPhone SE in a bit of urgent need of repair for a broken screen. He informed me that he did have the part in stock and to come by. The price of repair was less than two other locations I contacted for quotes. Kushal also gave me a great discount on a screen protector as well. He mentioned that it would take 45 minutes or less. By the time it took to get some donuts from The Donut Shop, the phone was repaired! It functioned properly and looked great! The protector was installed properly and looks awesome. Long story short....these guys are great. My samsung galaxy S8 plus screen was broken and I couldnt use my phone at all. Jesse who is an expert on iPhones and not on samsungs gave me a new screen on my phone. It did take some time but it was well worth the wait. I feel like I have a brand new phone. Took my Samsung s20+ here to get the screen replaced and it was a nightmare. when I first got my phone back from them the speaker and the vibration stopped working so I had to take it back, they were unable to fix the speaker and had to order a part but were able to fix the vibration because apparently they just did not put it back together correctly. When the new speaker came in they replaced it but they were not able to seal my phone correctly and had to complain to get them to correct it. even after a manager took a look at it and tried to redo the seal my phone is still not sealed correctly and has visible gaps between the frame and back glass. After spending $300+ for a new screen I was expecting a lot more from them. really disappointed if I had to do it again I would try somewhere else and I suggest that you do the same. read more

We called the Folsom store and, within an hour, they had replaced the battery and I was back in action. Went into this place of business because our batteries on our Iphone plus 8 were not holding a charge any longer. They told me they had one n come back in a 1hr or so n pick it up! On our way back to BPB they said they didnt have any in stock n would hv to go get one from another store n the repair would be delayed! They told me for my inconvenience they would take $20 off the $70 owed! I asked them how long? They told me to be in the safe side longer then it actually took. Best car battery replacement experience EVER!! The staff here has always been knowledgeable, quick and helpful. Today Kendrick replaced my car battery very quickly. He first tested the battery that I had chosen to confirm it had the correct charging capacity. He rolled a cart out to my car that was parked right in front, hooked up a standby battery so that the audio system would not need me to enter a code (he said it keeps the car from detecting that the battery was disconnected), then removed the old battery and completed the installation of my new battery. These guys are great! I brought in an AGM battery bought at another Batteries Plus that had totally discharged on me near the end of its warranty period, and of course this happened just before a long camping trip when I needed the battery most. Though I had tried a few techniques to bring it back up to charge over several days, I could only get it to about 8.5V. I brought it into the store and left it with Aaron who said he would attempt to charge it overnight and call me about noon the next day. Aaron called back right on time. He was able to get the battery back to full charge and holding. However, the load test was not quite up to par so he replaced the battery. I appreciated his honesty, thoroughness and timeliness. Today and yesterday, I worked with Batteries Plus to get a new battery for my mobility scooter. Kendrik was so helpful! I went in there and told him the symptoms of my faulty batteries. I brought the batteries in, he measured their voltage and tested them. He also found You Tube videos of how to access and remove the old batteries.
