Ditto as the numerous others who found his repairs to be flawed and he would not offer a solution other than to be abusive and suggesting I take him to small claims court where he knew he would prevail. read more

Excellent service. Great business does excellent and fair priced work. Cameron Park location closed with no relocation info. Hope Doug is doing well. read more

Be careful, doesn't stand by his parts. I had a screen repaired here and it broke two days later. I paid extra for the OEM parts, but I worked for Verizon for 16 years, and never seen a screen so fragile and break so easily. The screen doesn't look like a normal cracked screen, like it doesn't have the adhesive in it that's supposed to make it stronger. I called him about it and he flew off the handle, and jumped right to basically saying that he would win if I tried to sue him, and he's been sued for this thing twice and won both times, and I never said anything about court or suing. I was just trying to find out if the warranty would help at all here. Had to just hang up because he wouldn't stop ranting. read more

Always great honest service . I have taken multiple phones to this site and never felt that they were not honest read more

Great service, accurate work, pricing phenomenal! Definitely recommend this business for repair work.

My phone stopped working and kept bootlooping (which is the Apple logo over and over again not turning on) and I went to Apple and they couldn't fix it or even know what to do. Took it to Doug and he got way further than they even could. He found and fixed the problem supper fast and efficient. I don't know what i would've done without Doug's help! Highly recommend! 10/10 read more

I highly recommend this business. My iPhone 14 Pro Max wasn't turning on or working properly. I called Doug on my work phone and he helped me fix it over the phone at no charge. It saved me a lot of time and money. I will definitely be coming back for anything related to my phone needing to be fixed. Doug has alot of knowledge on phone repair and I felt comfortable working with him. read more

My daughter's iPhone 6 battery was toast and wouldn't hold a charge any more. I wanted to do something about it before our family vacation with a long flight. Doug had a new battery in stock and installed it that same day! Now the phone works like new and this saved me a ton of money to not have to replace a perfectly good phone. He also provided helpful tips on how to make this one have a longer life. I highly recommend Red Shoe for repairs and am glad to have a reliable, friendly, and trustworthy repair tech in our neighborhood! read more

Great service in replacing the glass on my iPhone. Dave had to special order the product which arrived the next day. He was able to fix it within 30 minutes and I was on my way, good as new. Highly recommend this place for your device repair needs. read more

My phone's usb port had stopped working and when I looked, all the quotes I got were between $80 and $120 to repair it. Then somebody said check Red Shoe Repair. I called and he said that it's probably just has dirt in it and to bring it by. I did and he repaired it for free!!!! I say go here to get your phone repaired for a very fair price. read more

Doug was very professional and straightforward. Brought in my wife's iPhone that had a cracked back and front, the phone was dropped so hard the screen wasn't even visible. Doug fixed it right up and with minimal cost! He even walked me through how to make sure it was up and running, ready for a the bi-annual trade in. Thanks again Doug! read more

I just wanted to update my review because this owner will not leave me the F alone. He threatens to take me to small claims court for $65 if I don't take down my review. I got so tired of him calling me everyday that I went and dropped off a check for $45. It was supposed to be for $65 but I deducted $20 cause that's what I paid to have somebody else fix my phone that he broke. He sent the check back to me. No pleasing this guy. He obviously has nothing better to do except to try and make my life miserable. Won't work Doug quit threatening me. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with the service I received from Doug. I asked around and he was the most recommended of the group. I had a lot of questions and he was very upfront with his answers. I really got some time to chat with Doug and really like what he has going for Red Shoe Rescue and I am glad I found them to repair my iPhone 11 ProMax. The repair was quick, which I appreciated since I needed to get the phone back to my sister for a video call interview the next day. The price was not too bad, it was mainly because of the screen. It's not cheap no matter how you look at it. But I'm extremely happy with the results. Again Doug was extremely helpful with answering all of my questions and helping me understand the ins and outs of the screen replacement and even more. Great conversationalist. Thanks again! read more

My girlfriend and I randomly decided to go to dinner at China City a few weeks ago and on the way in I noticed there was a computer and phone repair shop next door. I had been putting off getting the battery replaced, for about a year, on my old iPhone because I thought I had to go to Folsom or Sac and it might take a while. We popped in to Red Shoe Rescue hoping that was a service they provided, not really expecting it to happen then as it was already getting late and they closed in half an hour, and the owner told us it would be no problem at all. They were super nice, took down some of our info, checked the phone for any previous damage, took our phone in back and swapped the battery out in a jiffy. We also chatted a bit about techie stuff from about twenty years ago, when I was more technically inclined. I've had the new battery for a few weeks now and it has given my old iPhone a renewed lifespan and has saved me from having to buy a new phone right now. Thanks Red Shoe Rescue! read more

All of my cell phones owning life, I've never broken a screen . . . till last week. So understanding next steps required a google search. I found Red Shoe as a local place to go and they didn't disappoint. Charlie said they'd be able to replace the screen within an hour. and due to the potential damage my iPhone X incurred from falling off my car while driving on Green Valley, he also said that before buttoning it up with the new screen, they'd make sure it actually worked. Upon pickup, he confirmed that after trying 2 different screen attachment and even a new battery but it would not power on :( They didn't charge me anything for their time to determine my phone totally dead. Thank you for such amazing customer service to not charge me to determine it not repairable. I will be back with any future needs . . . just hope it's not too soon! read more

5 star experience. My phone had gotten water damage and I had to get it fixed as soon as possible. I looked up this place and couldn't be happier. The owner Doug is AWESOME! Very friendly, honest, stand up guy. Great prices, timely service, a wonderful conversation & I highly recommend. read more

Took my granddaughter to red shoe rescue after having it repaired at another place just a couple of months ago and it started doing all these weird things. Cannot give Doug snd Red Shoe enough high praise. Had an accident with my phone that resulted in a bit of a shattered screen. My work requires my phone to be on good working order, and Doug had the parts I needed. Not only did he have the parts, he had multiple levels of options for a replacement. Good, better, and best as he described it- perfect for someone to decode just how much they needed to spend on their phone. After a couple hours (I happened to snag him right before lunch) my phone was ready. Unfortunately when I got home I noticed an issue. Calling Doug, he insisted I bring it back in so we could check it out. The next opening I dropped back in and he went to work on it. An issue with my facial recognition scan was the issue, so not something he could double check on his end. Trying a few things initially nothing worked. I left my phone with him, he did a little more research, and bam- I was at the store again- phone fully functioning. The guy knows his stuff, and has a passion for it. If you're in the surrounding area and Need repairs- look no further...you will not be disappointed. read more

Doug definitely knows his stuff. It is clear that he has the parts and expertise for challenging repairs, hence the word "Rescue" in the shop's name. Doug understands how important your device is to you and takes meticulous care in repairing it. Keeping an inventory diverse enough to repair all the various devices he sees in a day can't be easy, yet he seems to have what is needed a majority of the time. In a business like his, I'm sure some of Doug's customers are demanding and impatient. They may expect miracles, not understanding that the work can be painstaking and the fact that he likely has the exact part you need in stock is itself kind of miraculous! Doug treats his customers and their broken devices with a positive, can-do attitude. His service is exemplary and he stands behind his work. I find him to be an honest and fair businessman and am glad to have such a reliable repair shop so close to home. Thanks Doug! read more

Incredible! I had previously taken my phone to Batteries Plus because it wasn't charging well. They, supposedly, cleaned it out and got it to as good as they could before suggesting that I replace the charging port. I came to Red Shoe to replace the charging port and they just used a much more powerful microscope to actually clean out the charging port and the phone is working good as new without any costs! I will definitely be back for any future needs! read more

I had my husbands phone fixed here after he fell off the ladder with it in his back pocket. We went through Squaretrade and only paid a small deductible to have the phone fixed. Doug was amazing, I called him on Thursday, by Friday he had the part ordered, by Monday night the phone was fixed back to perfect condition. I will 100% recommend his service to any body looking for a repair shop and will be back in the future to get my own phone fixed. read more

There is something to the other lower ratings here. The guy knows what he is doing with the repairs, but he does have a very challenging personality. I probably would not return to him, as a result, because I can get repairs at a number of other places in my area, so I prefer someone who is more skilled in customer service. I also would never refer anyone who isn't thick-skinned. The guy is not subtle about his feeling of superiority, outlining several ways in which he is better than others to me directly. Still, I rated at a 3-star 'OK' because the business does what it says it does. I just think that, if you have other options, there isn't really a reason to accept the attitude from Red Shoe. read more

I had been trying to get over to the Apple store in Roseville for months but never made it... so I took my IPhone into Red Shoe Rescue. Just be aware as others have posted my experience with Doug was one of the most awful experiences I have had in a long time. Thankfully it was only on the phone so I did not have to be abused face to face. He was very very condesening, short tempered and just mean. Also thanks to Yelp I saw that I was not the only person he was awful to. Amazing that a person with his temperament can stay in business. read more
