Verizon lied to us to get us to switch lines. Came to the corporate store to handle it. They couldn't do anything, just put us on the phone to call customer service. Been on the phone about an hour and asked for a chair cause my husband has a bad back. But they couldn't move a chair from another table cause it corporate policy. read more

Like most Verizon's stores, spent an hour here trying to set up a new phone. Got nothing done. Not helpful.

I stopped into the Verizon store in the Atlantic Center mall because I could not get internet service on my Android phone. Store associate Eric was able fix the problem in three minutes. He made my day. So much for these not so good reviews. read more

The technicians at this store are amazing and helped me out of a rough spot! I don't often leave reviews for non-food spots, but I wanted to give the team a shoutout. I had the worst day after getting my phone stolen and trying to replace it at Apple but then having multiple issues. Despite having to return to Verizon three separate times, the team here was endlessly helpful and patient with me. They helped me navigate the iPhone replacement while avoiding additional charges and walked me through setting up the new phone. John in particular was a delight! read more

Went to this store to have the phones I bought through Verizon activated, only to be told I needed to do that myself and I would need to go home to gain access to other devices (iPad, etc.) Told them that I couldn't call the numbers they were telling me to call because I don't have a working phone (the reason I got a new phone to start with), but this didn't seem to matter. Went home to find a computer to set up my phone, only to be told by the online Verizon representative that I needed to go to a Verizon store to set it up (make it make sense ). Couldn't call any of the numbers I had been given because, again, neither the new nor the old phone were working. Flat out refused to return to this store (also wanted to avoid being turned away again, despite literally being told to go there by Verizon). Ended up having to ask a neighbor to help me call Verizon on their working phone, and 2 hours later, it finally worked. This from the company that has the gall to send representatives to my house every weekend to get me to buy FIOS, but has 5 employees hanging out doing nothing in the store refusing to help. Giving a bonus star because the woman I talked to at the store was at least polite when she essentially told me to buzz off . Also, to the really lovely manager who replies to all these comments - why don't you just do something about it? read more

No customer management at all i'm walking in the store. Nobody greeted me. Nobody open their mouth. I came to pay my wireless bill. The customer service workers pointed me to a machine that I never seen before never used when call for someone to help me to use machine got no response so the security guard at the door came and assist me very nicely step-by-step helping he was patient he should be working. There brings a good look to your verizon company need to get a job customer service done, right very bad experience will not be coming in to pay my bill again read more

I went into the Verizon store closest to my home, located in the Atlantic Terminal mall, in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. I was having some issues transferring from my old iPhone to my new IPhone. The phone is from our business so, it's a corporate account. The manager was extremely rude and completely condescending to me. He said I needed the owner of the company with me in order for him to finish setting up my phone. I explained to him that I'm one of the owners of the company but, that wasn't good enough for him. I also explained to him that the business is located in New Jersey, so that was rather inconvenient to bring another company owner with me just to finish setting up my phone. This is something that should take ten minutes, at best! I showed him my ID, and I had two people call and send verification that I was, indeed, who I was, and part of the corporation. Still, he wouldn't help me. The worst part with his attitude. Completely unprofessional, and uncalled for. Needless to say, I had my phone set up without his help. When I need to visit a Verizon store, I certainly will not go to the one in Atlantic terminal. They have lost a customer! read more

I want this Verizon store arrested for high crimes and treason my goodness. Awful experience, condescending customer service reps, wait times are pretty long depending on the day. Would *Not* recommend. No matter how long in between visits or how often I have to visit this store IT IS ALWAYS A PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sold me a damaged tablet and then tried to send me through 400 hoops refund and order all over again when THEY should have checked this device before it was sold to me and they DID NOT but the smart ass rep had the nerve to be like we don't sell damaged devices. Not to mention they charged me 3 different times for the same tablet because like their inept customer service their systems apparently don't work well often either. Give these folks your CC info at your own risk you might end up waiting for refunds and we all know how long those take. EXPLAIN THIS!!!!!!! Not to mention it was suggested I call insurance (I bought device protection 4 days ago when I bought the tablet.) I'm not footing the bill for a problem I did not create. Verizon fell so far short here it is almost criminal. Took it straight out of the box to wipe it down and play with it. Yeah, noticed this ding on the side that was not caused by me. Guy tried to imply that I somehow was lying or that it was my fault. Tablet was in the box until I had real time to play with it. I would not have known it was damaged until I went to clean it for the first time thinking absolutely nothing by the way. No idea it was even there only to be surprised. Don't buy tablets from these folks you WILL run the risk of getting one damaged despite their lies otherwise. I did not do anything to this tablet, barely even had it, box and all but they claim they don't sell damaged tablets and said so to my face. Photographic proof otherwise seems like a gift from god. I expected way more from Verizon and truthfully after months of issues with Fios, and now Verizon, I am officially price shopping other services. They are not worth it nor are they worth the headache. I have never seen such inept customer service before like it is appalling how bad it is. I bought something fresh brand new I EXPECT IT TO WORK!!!! I EXPECT IT TO LOOK LIKE IT IS SUPPOSED TO AND WHEN IT DOES NOT WE HAVE A PROBLEM!!!! read more

I had an appointment today, showed up on time, staff told me the system was down and they couldn't do anything and to try again later. I took off work, traveled, and asked why I wasn't notified. The lady gave me such attitude. I asked a few other questions since I was looking to replace my phone and the lady continuously was dismissing me and giving me attitude. I understand these things happen but if you're front of house you should be at least courteous. Another agent/rep answered my questions and was at least trying to be helpful. I went over to the Apple Store down the road, and the sales guy told me the Verizon at Atlantic Terminal is always having issues. Obviously you can't avoid going to the Verizon store sometimes, but in the future will avoid this location. I'm an existing customer and wanted information about phone pricing verse battery replacement. I've talked to 4 agents on the phone, all providing me with very different information. I placed an online order for a phone (so I could upgrade my phone) to be picked up at this location just to be told that it doesn't matter if you place online orders or not... it's who comes first that matters. This Verizon store in my opinion improved from fourteen years ago. The reason I stopped by the other day was to upgrade my IPhone to iPhone 15. I received everything I needed. I went to the other Verizon by Fulton street (where I normally go I should've just come here from the start) and the lady immediately pulled up my account. Don't even both coming here. I went in to get my SIM card unlocked. The employee took my phone removed the SIM card and broke the card into two pieces then set up an eSIM. I need the SIM card to transfer between devices. I called customer service and they told me that the employees shouldn't have broken the card and that they should have given me a replacement without hesitation. Wow, I wish I read the reviews before wasting 2 hours of my life here. This place is a mess. Not the physical cleanliness because it's very tidy in here, I'll give it that-- but their employees. One of the poorest customer service interactions I have had to date. Truly made me feel like my customer loyalty to Verizon for 13+ years didn't mean jack. Not only flat out mean and dismissive, but it seemed like the employees in here don't have any reason to drive sales on a peak busy weekend afternoon. Frankly, a client shouldn't have to come in here and beg for employees to deliver the bare minimum. Upon arrival, it took forever to have anyone come and check us in their queue system on their iPad. People were practically sitting on the store display ledges because there is no where to sit in this place. If they wanted a quick in and out situation, they should have speedier, more attentive service at least, not having elderly customers practically sit on the floor of this place. Everyone looked annoyed and tired in there, employees and customers alike. Not only was I passed off to 3 different people, one of the employees who flat out walked away from me to "grab one of his specialist colleagues" literally must have been new because 1. he didn't know anything (like anything), but 2. honestly, made me feel like he just wanted out on the conversation because he just didn't care. I went to a different verizon location in Manhattan three days later and got the best one-on-one customer service, and a really great promotional deal that the employees at this barclays location said "were unavailable" (which were lies). He took the time to explain everything, tried to really hunt for the best deal, and connected with me in a trusting way so that I was even sold to buy the more expensive model! Sales done right. I understand from an employee's perspective what it's like to truly have your hands tied regarding a client's specific situation from corporate policies, but to ignore, dismiss, belittle, and lack in empathy because y'all just actually didn't want to present at work... well, no one can force you to earn the cash money, honey... at least don't show it on your face. I would have walked away happy with a pleasant interaction even wasting my time in there, if I knew it was honest and felt that they did everything they could. Yes, this is a hectic mall situation, but they either need better management or more informed employees because I wouldn't be surprised if a lot disgruntled folks walked out of the store that day feeling similarly as I. (Please read below reviews, as they've said it all too). Never coming back here. read more

I will give this place a zero star if I can! Absolutely terrible service. I went there wanting to get a service when I am in China (I will be there in a few days and stayed for a month). One associate told me that all I need to do is purchase an add-on that costs 10 dollars per month in addition to my monthly payments. So I did that right the way and paid. I soon realized the problem after leaving the store for 20 minutes. The add-on only let me to call China while I am at the US. It doesn't do anything for me while I am in China. So clearly the associate there didn't know what he's doing. I thus went back to the store to ask a refund and potentially found other solutions to get what I need. Alas, the manager of the store is super rude and refused to refund me because it's Prepaid account even though I paid just 30 minutes ago. I asked if he can do anything else to compensate my loss and he said no. I got angry and he threatened me to call cops to forcefully ask me to leave. OMG! I can't believe what he said. The attitude was awful. He had no intention of helping. And I felt so disrespected. I am switching to ATT for sure after that, and I would love to report this manager if anyone from the Verizon store saw it. It was my first review and this Verizon store won it. It deserves negative five stars and I hope you guys will avoid this store at all cost. Bye Bye Verizon! read more

I can't in good faith give this store more than 2-stars. I have spent at least 4 hours in this store alone getting service and I am sick of the run around I always seem to get on service, equipment, and my phone plan. I was in this store the last time about a week ago activating a replacement phone and, as Verizon had not sent me a replacement battery with this phone (due to issues the previous battery was in the mail on its way to corporate Verizon to be determined if it was the cause of the telephone problems that I had been having), I had to get a battery in the store - which meant getting the extended battery because the store did not carry a regular battery. And this meant I had to pay the approximately ~$60 for the battery myself and expect a refund/ credit to my account. Now, this happened sometime between 3/5 - 3/7/11. It is now 3/14. No credit to either my credit card or to my Verizon account has appeared. So, I spent over 2 hours on the phone today with this particular location trying to sort out what is going on. After being on hold for over 30 minutes at one point, I had to call back. I have been told that they will be calling me back tomorrow to resolve the issue, I am not exactly holding my breath, I have had nothing but phone issues since March 2010. read more

There's a fee to upgrade my phone from a 14pro max, but they didn't offer my current phone (14 pro max) -- apparently Verizon doesn't carry that model anymore (it's ... the latest model besides the 15...) so they're charging me an upgrade but won't offer my current phone??? Also, $30 to set up my new phone. WHAT?! I just spent $1500 and then you'd charge me to set it up? What a joke. Then, after the whole backwards experience, I asked them how to set up the teacher's discount and they told me to call 611 because they don't "do customer service or billing." Yet, they just charged and billed me all sorts of wack fees and up charges. But no, the buck stops at eligible discounts. They still had other people shopping in the store and it would have only taking less than 5 minutes to grab my order when their website in incorrect about the time. My wife went here for a SIM card swap and the agent added Total Device Protection to her line for $13 a month without her consent. Went in the store to buy my 13 year old little sister a phone for safety purposes, I enrolled her with a prepaid sim- attaching to my Verizon line and was hoping to purchase the phone in store. Was approached by a brown haired woman who obviously saw consumers as just walking dollar signs. Let me elaborate. She approached me and I explained we had a prepaid SIM card because she's young and doesn't need to be on her phone all of the time so we're looking for a phone below $100 FOR NOW. She immediately has a "really?" look on her face, takes us to the section and goes "if you're looking for cheap phones, I suggest you go to Target or Best Buy". Money is not a concern, my baby sis turning into an IG model is. I said to the associate "I'm in Verizon because I want a phone from here". She goes away only to return to tell me "I just checked the back and these phones are not in stock so I suggest you check out Target or Best Buy." I look pretty decent if I may say so myself so I was baffled but then I got to thinking, regardless of how I looked, no one should be made to feel they don't belong. Even if a homeless person came in for a phone, they shouldn't be turned away to go elsewhere. If that's not a distasteful, classless thing to do, I don't know what is. In short, I'm very shocked at the apparent treatment of customers as just wallets and the downright rudeness that came along customers knowing what they wanted. WOW. read more

Do not waste your time! Go to the store on 7th and Flatbush! I went here on 2018-06-09 at about 1pm to get a new phone connected to Verizon. The woman tried but was unable to do it after about 45 minutes of trying. I then spoke with her supervisor who told me the phone was not functional and there was nothing Verizon could do and that I should return it. I knew the phone was brand new and in good condition, so I spent about an hour asking them to call support. The manager refused and refused to let me speak with her manager. Instead, she insisted the problem was with the phone. I then went to another Verizon center down the Flatbush (on 7th Av) where the two guys were able to connect the phone in about 10 minutes. read more

I lost my phone and had a truly awful experience replacing it at this Verizon.
