I just got service in Dec from Honest. I came back from a five week trip and had no internet upon my return. They diagnosed it as a problem in the lines coming to my unit (so not my issue) but it will still take them 3 days to come out and restore service. I understand that they are less expensive than others, but I can't really deal with outages like this. If it happens one more time, I'll move on to a more reliable provider

When I tried to return them, I was told that because it was 17 days after purchase and the warranty is only for 14 days they would not exchange them. Guy sitting at the desk at the back of the room did not even disconnect from the call he was on to speak with me, and I was the only customer there. Forget about basic customer service, this guy acted like I barged into his home and started demanding help. Wild.

So, before you go with them, imagine me right now, sitting on hold with Clear customer service, Clear account services, and Clear collections, explaining to each one of these mumbling fucks that their service doesn't work and I refuse to pay an early termination fee for their shit service. In summation: 1. Service is spotty and often does not work. 2. Service is slow when it works. 3. There is a built-in early-termination fee that they will try to make you pay when you call to cancel their bullshit service.

Now imagine having upload / download times that are 3 times as fast as what Verizon can provide. Now imagine this being two thirds the price of Verizon. Finally imagine a company that provides almost instantaneous support / service. This is what Natural Wireless is. My specific experience: 0) Before moving, I requested a quote on service and pricing. I received an email instantaneously. 1) Moved into the new apartment on March 19th. Signed up for service. It was available immediately. 2) Same day added a Roku via email. Within 10 minutes it was on the network. 3) Same day discovered a laptop I used for work was not compatible with the default network. Placed a call. 4) March 21 a tech shows up, updates their equipment (see picture) and my router. Laptop now works. My entire home including echos, google home, smart plugs, additional laptops, FireTV are all on the network and are working great!

As has been said before by many others, this company has bad customer service. Far worse than the…read moreservice is their dishonesty. Astound is a good name for these people. The low level customer service and the way the company bilks customers is astounding. They claim to be giving you a five (5) year price lock. In my case, two months later they change the name of your promotion to Promotion for Life. They say that this means that only the taxes can go up if they do, but not the price for the service in my case, $40.00 with $5.66 in taxes for a total of $45.66. Do not be fooled. All their promotions, regardless of names, can be renamed and repriced at any time. They actively promote Autobilling, which means they take the money directly out of your bank account each month. It is not worth getting a $5 reduction to have these crooks get access to your bank account. Once you provide them with your bank account number, they can help themselves to any amount. Prices with Astound change at the drop of a hat. They do this by claiming that your plan's name was changed. What this means is that they hiked the price. Am actively going to see if I can find a better deal elsewhere. These people are nasty and only interested in bilking customers. These are seasoned scam artists.

Steer clear of CLEAR Internet…read more While the service map shows that I am in a "strong signal" area- I could not get more than two bars of signal strength (most of the time one bar). Not enough to do anything of import on the internet. Never had enough signal or confidence to use the phone service that I was paying for. They sent a wireless USB not the mobile hotspot that was advertised. Customer service is a JOKE. They outsource it to India. On top of it all the connection was terrible (come on! you're a communications company, damn it.) They made speak with them for over an hour then informed me that since I was charged today (and I was paid up thru the month) they could not refund the money and are going to charge me another $75 for cancellation.- the nerve. Optimum is one of the worst service providers I've ever had the displeasure of paying…read more When I first started using Optimum, it was my only option for internet service. I went in store and the employee there told me that I couldn't receive internet service without signing up for a phone plan. So for about a year and a half I've been forced into paying for a phone plan that's literally never been used. Despite calling and asking multiple times. Throughout my service, I've dealt with random outages and loss of service. Coupled with constantly having to call them to pay and being unable to create an account through their website for whatever reason. I'm finally able to switch internet providers and when I called to cancel my service, I was on the phone for an hour. During that hour, I was transferred to at least 4 separate employees who all made me verify my identity with my address, email, phone number, credit card number and a code texted to me. The last one insisted that I was not the account holder because he couldn't tell my gender via my voice and that an employee I spoke to prior made a note that I was a man. Despite this horrible customer service and the fact that I had been on the phone for an hour to cancel my service, he kept trying to convince me to keep my service for 5 months free as a "backup." In what world would I need a backup phone plan? Especially when I've had the phone line through Optimum for over a year and never once used it. Then he informed me I'm going to have to pay until I drop off my equipment in store. He could've offered a lifetime of free service and I still would've cancelled because under no circumstances would I pay a service that demands I tell them what is in my pants when I've verified my identity to 4 separate employees. I'd much rather pay 10 times the amount monthly in order to never deal with this company again. It's to the point where from now on, part of my prerequisites for moving is that the new place must be serviced by any other company than optimum. I'd honestly consider living without internet in my home before I ever come back to them for service. This is the only review I've ever left on yelp and that should only emphasize how horrific this company is.
