We could not find him anywhere the only thing we had was he used go to a friend's house and smoke. The other PI's said this would cost around $10-15K because I did not know what times he used to go to his friend's house. I just did not have that kind of money so I then called Argus it was late around 1am and I was very upset. On the second ring Rocco picked up the phone and I was on the phone for three hours and then made an appointment for 4pm that evening. I met with Rocco at his office and he told me that he never takes money if he does not think he can help. He told me that this would be very expensive and that I should not get my hopes up. I said I don't get paid until next Friday and I promise I would pay as much as I could I just really wanted to find my son. Rocco said he would do this he would work on the case for a few days and then when I get paid I could pay him. Two days later he had found my son staying with a girl and he had photos of my son coming and going from her house. By Friday my son was in rehab and Rocco only charged me for the time on the case and did not charge a dime for all the phone calls or anything else. My father has since passed away and I am the executor to his estate. After getting an initial inheritance from his uncle, a final inheritance was to be sent. My Aunt gave Ms. Dubrow my contact information in March '14. By July I started to wonder what was happening, so I got in touch with Ms. Dubrow. Initially she indicated she would email me paperwork to complete so she could send the money to the attorney handling my father's estate. After a few days, I called back to follow up and she said she wanted to calculate the amount of taxes my father would owe on the inheritance. It sounded like she wanted to do this as a courtesy to me. But, since she said she would do it later the same day, I agreed to wait. A few days later, still having received nothing from her, I followed up once again. This time she said she "must" do a tax return in order to issue the check. All of the other heirs to my father's uncle have received their final inheritance. Why is this one so special? When I tried to get Ms. Dubrow to give me answers or a commitment on when I should expect something, she pushed back and eventually ended our phone call. I can't understand why she is being so evasive. I have no choice but to tell people that my experience with this attorney is very poor. I am not her "client", but I am also not the adversary. My father passed away and his wife has dementia. This money will help take care of her. I have a family and the money will help me and my family with our obligations. I don't think I should be treated this way. Could she be up to something? Why make such a big deal about releasing money from an escrow account?

I hired PP Servers on 6/12/26 for process service with a confirmed completion deadline of 6/25/26…read more The deadline passed with no completion. After following up, the office initially told me nail-and-mail service required a court order and that proceeding without one would be "bad service." This is incorrect and I had to point that out to them before they acknowledged the error and proceeded. They then estimated the corrected service would be completed by ~7/7/26. It wasn't actually completed until 7/10/26, and I wasn't sent the affidavit until 7/13/26, roughly three weeks past the original deadline, and only after multiple follow-ups on my end asking for status. Beyond the delay, the affidavit itself shows a roughly two-week gap between the last due diligence attempt (6/24) and the eventual nail-and-mail completion (7/10). I'm hoping it holds up in court since nail-and-mail is generally expected to follow closely after the underlying attempts establishing due diligence. If you need service completed on a time-sensitive matter, budget for significant delays beyond what they quote, and be prepared to double-check the validity of what you receive.
