Don't trust what they say I have been trying to get a resolution of a broken promise since January and have hit a dead end. In January, my husband, son and I went to the Newtown Verizon store to upgrade our phones. Tory and Bruno made a big deal out of the fact that we could get a 4th line and phone for free because of a promo and the way the pricing on 3 vs 4 lines works. We were not interested in a phone we didn't need but they talked us into it. We finally agreed because we thought it would be nice to have an extra phone in case one broke. We did not have a 4th phone to trade in because at that point, we only had 3 phones and 3 lines. Bruno said not to worry about that, he had a phone that could be used for the trade-in. Fast forward to our next bill and the 4th phone is not free, we are paying $13/month for it. I stopped into the store several times and was told that it can take several billing cycles for the trade-in to go through. Bruno moved to the Bethel Verizon store so I started calling there too. I also called Verizon corporate multiple times and they can't do anything because it is an issue with the local store. Bruno now says that he's got it worked out that rather than taking the money off the monthly bill, Verizon is going to give us a credit for the phone - $180 in June and $180 in July. Sounds great - until the June bill with no credit. I call him again - which always takes days because the Bethel store doesn't always answer their phone and Bruno is always with a customer - and he says the automatic credit didn't go through so he will have to do it manually and he has a sticky note to do it on his computer. July comes - no credit. The cycle repeats for August. Recently, I called the Newtown Store (since that was were we originally went) and asked for a manager - Billy who is new so none of this is his fault. Billy calls Verizon corporate and they say that there was no promo for a free phone for the 4th line. He also talked to his boss. They say there is nothing they can do. Someone is not telling the truth and the local stores need to stand behind what their employees are telling customers even if they lose money on the deal. Don't trust anything a local store says without verifying with Verizon corporate. read more

Drive the extra mileage to the Monroe store. The goal of this location ( and Danbury- same owner) is only to make a sale ~ not to help. Monroe location they are kind, helpful, up front and don't treat customers like they are too dumb to know sales tactics. My husband sought help for a phone that would not charge. They insisted he needed a new phone to which he declined. He came home, sprayed some compressed air in the chamber and voila! Phone fixed. They know this at the store. Drive to Monroe. read more

Do not go to this store - legit thieves. They manipulate and give you the run around. If a deal sounds too good to be true - it is. When you call them on it, they will blame Verizon Corporate - they will work with you to rectify, you will leave the store thinking it is rectified until you get your next bill. Rinse and repeat with no resolution or accountability. read more

I Visited this location last week and I would advise if your a female or looking for help with your device go somewhere else. The two men I found to be very aggressive towards woman and persuaded me into a contract which was misleading. I bought a phone and wireless device since I did not want to use home internet anymore and was told a low reasonable price. I thought was great, the next month, my bill was 4x What they told me, it included, insurance, extra fees, extra gigs, activation fees and other stuff that was not explained. They told me initially it would be 50$ a month and no where near that but over 200$ a month. I ended having to call Verizon and they did not know why they put me on this plan either. I saw that they were not aggressive towards men but other customers that were woman the same encounters. As far as the customer service being leading on of the wrong price, I was asked if I had a BF and asked out multiple times. The gentleman I worked with asked for my number multiple times. Clearly they were wrong with plans they gave me and lied and very aggressive about wanting to date their customers even after they were told no multiple times. I would avoid this location for service quality and experience. read more

The service was great and the staff were very kind and helpful! This store is now on church hill road. Highly recommend!

Horrendous experience with John, the manager. My wife dropped her phone and was in desperate need of a new one since we live in NJ. She was in the store with our 3 year old. At the end of the purchase, John says, "I hooked you up with a screen protector and a wall block." Great, she thinks, the guy did me a solid. This was July 11th or so. My wife returns to NJ and realizes she was charged for the screen protector and the wall block and the wall block isn't even in the bag. They never gave it to her. No problem, she calls up the next day and says I'd like to return it. Fine, John says, come in with the credit card. Seeing as though we live in NJ, my mother in law comes back with the card, and John says, "Sorry we need the protector." Fast forward to today, we come in with the card and screen protector. "Sorry, it's past 30 days." We continue to ask for managers (who are on vacation) because this is some sh*t. They offer us. $20 gift card. Then $40 and they'll "look at the cameras". The gift cards aren't gift cards. They're coupons for money off if I spend $29.99. As Leonardo DiCaprio said in Wolf of Wall Street, I'm not leaving. I'll sit here until John gets in touch with his boss, Dom, so we can get made whole. What a colossal waste of of time. Do yourself a favor and go to an Apple store. This place is HORRENDOUS. 1 star only because 0 isn't an option. read more

The worst, basically the manager lies by omission. He will promise anything then charge you for everything. Transfer your information to a new phone...big charge..... put a glass protector on your phone for $40.00 MORE than where you can order one from Amazon, fees not mentioned during the sales pitch......Charges kept adding up and by the time I was done I paid an extra $450.00 more than if I had gone to an actual Verizon store. Aggressively sold stuff to me and then lied every time I asked a question. I guess the manager is a slick salesperson that wants commission and figures that customer care is not important. I am truly sorry that business was conducted with the Newtown Verizon dealer. read more

After visiting three other store fronts interested in a possible upgrade, Verizon in Newtown was excellent. Tyler was able to access a variety of incentives and promotions that the other stores did not. He was informative and patient and helped our family upgrade four cell phones instead of one with a very reasonable price. Very satisfied and highly recommend. read more

This store operates as more of a "used car lot" than a professional Verizon store. Accessories we didn't receive or did not approve we're added to our bill and when attempting to return them, we were told it was against company policy. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra few minutes to an actual Verizon store as opposed to this Authorized Retailer - you'll save yourself the $ and more importantly the headache. read more

Absolutely horrible experience at this store! If no stars were an option thats what they would get. The sales manager Jonathan Barahona is the absolute worst. He sold my daughter an $80 screen protector and put it on her phone (which is everywhere else $20). A week later it fell off and he refused to honor it by putting a new one on. He said he had no record of her buying it so she was out of luck. Not only is he a liar, he could not have been ruder. People do yourself a favor and go to Apple. read more

I had the pleasure of meeting with Eric Rodriguez when my phone suddenly and inexplicably stopped working. He put the phone through a diagnostics test (it was pretty much a goner and, frankly, I was prepared to buy a new phone) and proceeded to give me options for its replacement. He was congenial, personable and informative. He ordered the phone I chose which arrived at the store in the time frame he promised. When I picked up the phone, he was able to transfer all the information from my old phone to the new one and pair it up with my car's blue tooth. Eric provided excellent customer service and I would not hesitate to return to him for further assistance nor would I hesitate recommending him to others. read more

First of all let me say i am VERY bias. My name is Anthony Cooper, I work in this location. I think we do the best job in the business not just based on our knowledge or skills, but mainly based on the fact that we do whats right for the customer, we want our customers to continue to shop here. We are sick an tired of hearing about people getting taken advantage of at other locations/carriers. I want you to be able to come in get a phone and not feel cheated in some way, i want you to be able to feel comfortable buying from me to the point you will only deal with me for your needs and all your family needs. So when I say I am VERY bias its because I pride myself not on the sale, but on the amount of sales. I want people to return to me for the fact that I will do right by them, if its for a simple question, confused on something, or a sale. I would like to earn your trust so that one day I can earn your business. read more
