It's takes hours to see somebody. This is like being at the DMV. Terrible customer service. Employees don't care

I called and made an appointment today. I did receive reminders on my phone so I know the appointment was recorded. When I arrived, I waited around and eventually one of the guys who was walking by asked if I had been checked in, and he took my name. That minimal contact was it. No one checked on me again or even looked at me twice for half an hour. Eventually, I walked towards the back and told a young woman that I was waiting for my 3:00 pm appointment. She said they would get to me when someone was free. I asked for an estimate of the wait time and she had no response. Usually, in the past, someone in the store at least calls out and greets customers coming in the door in a pleasant tone. Not so here. I understand they are busy, but the whole atmosphere was surly. Eventually, after 40 minutes, one rep who was helping someone else asked what I was waiting for. Then he started to assist me while he was still working with another customer. He was pleasant and helpful, but he explained that he is not actually assigned to that store. Maybe that explains a lot. Because customer service did not seem to be assigned to that store either. I get that they are busy. But a smile and a greeting when people arrive would go a long way. Kudos to Aaron, the visiting Verizon employee with the pleasant attitude who eventually helped me. read more

I tried calling the store direct because i wanted to speak with the store manager at Harbour Center, Annapolis. Instead they have posted the generic 800 for Verizon. I asked to be given the store number or transfered to the store. I was instead transferred 3 times back to start all over again. I asked the 3rd person to escalate to a manager at the 800 number and she wouldn't. Instead she put me on hold until finally the generic promps began for me to start all over again. Its sad that i have to go to Yelp (and goid actually), where i can see someone from that store responding. After 30 minutes of being tranferred around on the phone, i give up. Finally, there is no tech support at this store so don't bother going. They sent me home and told me to just open a claim with Asurion and get a new phone. Asurion said i had to lose or break my phone, i couldnt go further when theres a technical glitch that cant be resolved on the 800 number or in the store. I was going to just upgrade my moms phone today but this store is now on my $#&@ list. Frankly Verizon as a whole has really dropped the ball. My moms been without wireless service for10 days. All i can say is I really wanted to speak to the store manager. UGH! read more

We spent 45 minutes waiting to be helped today to get a Gizmo watch for my daughter. When it was finally our turn, the Verizon employee told us we'd have to change from our prepaid to a contract plan in order to add it, which would nearly double our monthly fees even before we added the $5/month for the Gizmo plan (or before we added taxes, fees, and surcharges). I asked multiple times if I could open a new account with just the Gizmo watch on it, and he repeatedly told me no, that Gizmo plans need to be associated with a Verizon number, and that we'd have to change our plan. My daughter, who had been working towards earning the Gizmo watch for more than a month, was very disappointed. But I was the one who was disappointed when I found out that the salesperson was not telling the truth. You CAN get a Gizmo watch that isn't associated with a Verizon plan; you just pay $10/month for the plan instead of $5/month. So, thanks, Verizon, for wasting our time in order to try to squeeze us for an additional $65/month, and for unintentionally offering our daughter a lesson in the value of integrity and honesty. read more

I kept getting automated help and was either sent links that don't work or to an agent and then got a recording saying there was an error and hung up. I went in today to help my mom get a new phone. We waited here for nearly two hours. We were behind one other person that left 39 mins ago. Store wasn't that busy and three employees were sitting around just talking and conversing instead.of asking if we been helped. I had to come to two different employees asking for help and got a rebuffed "someone will be with you shortly," which was a load of BS. We walked out because they wasted enough of our time. I received no less than 10 notifications on a promotion they were having. I finally went in put my name on the list and confirmed that the promotion was still going on. After 30 min this guy had no clue and told me that promotion was no longer going on. When I described the person I confirmed with he disappeared for 10 min. Then can back with some nonsense that you had to be a premier member. I have been with Verizon for 20 years. I never knew there were different levels and no one indicated that as I checked in. My time is very limited right now and I resent wasting it. I am going back with the promotion that says nothing about a premier customer. read more

A premier Verizon store. I wish they didn't have the big "Verizon Wireless" sign on the building since they dropped the "wireless" part a few years ago I thought. A big, wide open indoor space is when walking in. Almost too big. Easy parking and I only waited about 15 seconds for assistance once inside. This is a "real" Verizon store, not a franchise. This is the first time I bought an iPhone from anywhere except the real Apple Store. I have to admit it was really easy. I ordered it online ahead of time and they had it ready for me when I walked in. I also got a fabulous Verizon paper bag too (environmentally friendly). Way to go Verizon!! read more

I had to call again and after 45+ minutes and being switched around to different departments, was told they could see where it was ordered, but couldn't track where it was (nice system!). I receive so much positive assistance whenever I visit this Verizon Store location. As soon as I enter, I'm welcomed by a staff member and passed over to someone that can assist me, usually immediately. I've never been here and couldn't have any of my questions answered or purchase any equipment I needed on the spot. I've never felt rushed because it's been times I've been here for over an hour trying to get an issue resolved and not once did the Verizon staff member rush me....just always stellar customer service. They take the time to walk me through step-by-step with whatever my issue may be. I wish I could say the same for the kiosk inside of Annapolis Mall. Do yourself a favor and bypass that location and come directly to this location. The staff that I've encountered there isn't customer service orientated and the stock is usually always low of items that you're looking for. This location is convenient, pretty large in size, and the staff is always eager to assist you with your wireless needs. read more

There was a little damage on my iPhone and I pay the monthly insurance. The phone's screen was turning green and black on and off. When I called Verizon they documented all my information and transferred me to an Asurion associate (SOLOMON MOHAMMED) to assist. The guy had a strong Indian accent so assume this was an Indian call center. The Asurion associate assured me he would take care of my problem. Honestly, there was so much static on the Asurion's side of the phone. I could hear yelling and cheering in the background like the guy was at a party or something. He confirmed my account and said that I qualified, noted backup phone numbers incase we got disconnected. Then, typed something on his computer and told me they have the same model iPhone was in stock and that they would have it delivered to my house the next day via UPS. He confirmed my shipping address and asked if I would like it to require signature or not. Then, he proceeded to ask if my iPhone was on the FindMyPhone app. He told me to go ahead and remove it. At this point, I asked why because I had not backed up my data yet and they usually do this after the phone has been shipped to transfer the phone number. He reassured me no worries, I promise you your data will not be lost. If you do not go through this step, I will have to charge you a $300 fee. I asked him if he was 100% sure, because I could go back up my data first and then call him back. He kept saying don't worry, no need, you will not lose any data and there is no way to reset the phone until the new phone is delivered. So I went ahead and follow his steps and removed the phone from my FindMyPhone app. Again, his reception kept coming in and out and then we got disconnected. He never called me back on my phone or the backup phone number I provided him. I assumed everything was good, and was going to be shipped like he promised the next day. When I looked at my iPhone, it was in the factory reset settings with the "Hello" screen and which language would you like to use to setup your phone. I was so mad but hopeful that the Asurion associate promised me that I would not lose my data. I call Verizon and they again transfer me again and again from Verizon to Asurion back to Verizon and then back to Asurion. We reach a Asurion associate PAMELA JOY who reassures us she can fix the problem and bring the data back, that just because we see that screen it does not mean we lost the data. We did not want to go through the phone setup, we were afraid if we did it would overwrite the data from before. The sales associate promised don't worry it will not. She walked us through the setup process (which we already know how to follow the screen instructions) we just thought she would be able to do something on her end to bring the data back. After the phone was setup, we told her we still do not see my old photos or data - and then she says, I don't know, I cannot help you. WTF? She assured us repeatedly and then we get to a point and she tells us she further screwed up our phone. She transfers us back to Verizon. Verizon tells us the contract this work to Tier 2 who is Asurion and Verizon does not take responsibility for what Asurion has done. We ask when is the replacement phone coming, the Verizon guy tells us he does not have anything on record saying that there is a phone being shipped to us. We get further agitated. The Asurion associate from earlier had gathered all my PII data and confirmed the replacement iPhone was ordered and being delivered Next Day by UPS. Then Verizon says that in his records Asurion is saying we don't qualify for a replacement. At this point, we are furious. We have been on the phone all day with Verizon and Asurion. It's 10:30pm at night at this point, and everything the HELP Desk has done has made everything WORSE. So now they are telling us they reset our iPhone with my phone not being backed up and I've lost ALL my data including my infant baby's photos and college graduation photos that I can never get back. And also, they're not sending another phone replacement despite the insurance fees we've paid Verizon for the last 10 years. This last Verizon associate then says I will transfer you. We wait for over an hour on hold and then he hangs up on us. This has been the WORST experience ever. Verizon/Asurion has taken our money and lost our data. Their Help Desk teams have no clue what they are doing!! There's no one to help or escalate poor, shoddy work. It seems the sales associates are just playing games with the customers, switching people around for hours and then hanging up. Beyond frustrating! I decided to go to the Apple Store where they were happy to help me. apple technician did a diagnostic on my iPhone and as expected no water damage. after this I came back to Verizon where I sat for 2 hours just for them to say they couldn't help me. Some of the most amazing customer service I've witnessed. I've been an AT&T customer for 10 years, and came in with my fiancée and her phone needs. After seeing how attentive Semaj was, I asked him about my current phone situation with AT&T. Next thing I know, I've switched to Verizon, gotten a brand new iPhone, have unlimited data, and am paying less than I was at AT&T (worse plan there too). Semaj is the phone wizard!!! Went to this store yesterday, Memorial Day, to upgrade Wife's phone because her Note 8 was dying. Worked with a rep name Collin. She upgraded to an iPhone Xs Max. We asked about Memorial Day specials, being I am Veteran, I figured we could get a good deal. My son's phone was eligible for an upgrade so we did to the iPhone 8+ which was the model on the floor. We told the rep that's the one we wanted (the model on the floor) for our son (the 8+). So we end of getting buy-one-get one free special, upgrading our plan to unlimited data, etc. We left and went to Best Buy to get my Wife a case for her new phone (not spending crazy money in the VZ store for a case) and I ordered a case for son's 8+ on Amazon. We finally get home and open his phone and it's a 8 and not an 8+. Wife calls the reps cell phone (gave us a business card with his cell on it) and he calls her back and we explained to him he gave us the wrong phone. He proceeded to tell us we were wrong and that we said the 8 and that people do what we were doing ("this") all the time. I told him we are not "People". He continued to tell us we were wrong so I asked for the information of his manager and he said i would have to come back to the store tomorrow to get his card. We hung up the phone and I immediately got on VZ Wireless Customer Support via phone and chat at the same time. I informed them as to what happened and Nick from Customer Support (phone) totally understood where we were coming from and apologized for the inconvenience. He placed me on hold and came back and let me know that they will give me a $50 credit for the restocking fee when I take the phone back to change it out for the 8+ and that I don't have to pay anything out of pocket when I do so. He said that the rep should not have handled this situation the way he did and they will be making a note on our account and reaching out to the store. We are not trying to get over or complain just to complain but bad customer service goes a long way. I gave Nick at Customer Service suggestions that they can pass along like ensuring that customers are given an itemized receipt and it is reviewed by the rep to the customer before they leave the store. We received receipts with the totals only that we paid out of pocket. Reviewing itemized receipts with customers before they leave protects not only the customer but also Verizon because if there is a problem it can be identified at that moment and resolved quickly and that would eliminate "customers doing that all the time" what he tried to accuse of doing in this case. Also, reps need to show humility and exercise better customer service skills and treat each customer with respect and clear expectations of what they are purchasing and being humble when they (the rep) makes a mistake. This was a bad experience especially after spending money that we really didn't have to outside of upgrading my Wife's phone. I've heard from other people that this store and the Lanham, Md. store are terrible. I am going back to this store today to get the 8 swapped out to the 8+ and have them fix the 6s plus that we got for free that is not working (sim card). And I will request that manager's information so that will know about our experience. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Went to store this afternoon. Arrived at 3pm walked in with my items, headed straight to the customer service desk in the back. The same rep that worked with us yesterday, was helping two ladies who had already been in the store. He told me he will get a manager and went to the back. Came back out and said one was on the phone and one was at the Fresh Market in the shopping plaza and was on his way back. Manager arrives back from market around 3:15-3:20pm. I still have to wait from him to come from the back. He finally does come out at or about 3:25-3:30pm. He sits down and I explain to him the issue. He then calls over the rep who was listening the whole time while working with two customers. The manager asks him to explain and he did and he stuck to his version of the story. I went on further to give details and the manager then says he was not there so he could not corroborate the story either way. Really? No, "Sir, there was a misunderstanding and we will get it taken care of for you today." no nothing. At that point I became really agitated and thought it was best to not say too much else because there was no customer service support at all for a customer that is having an issue. No apologies, no empathy, etc. The manager went on to explain about a $50 restocking fee and I told him that I spoke to Customer Support last night and they said I don't have to worry about that that they will take care of it. Absolutely horrible... just horrible. I went in to get a new phone (and knew exactly what I wanted) at about 10:30 in the morning; this is a big store, and there was one customer in there. A woman came up to me with a pad in her hand, asked what she could do for me, and I said I was there to get a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. She asked if I had an appointment and I said no, I didn't know appointments were needed. She said she could give me an appointment in two days. I said they should put a sign on the door "appointment necessary", but there was no-one in the store and could she take care of me. When we go here, we always have to wait! Customer service sucks. We were about to have an upgrade of phone and renew our contracts. After 30minutes of wAiting, finally a salesperson came up. Service is terrible! My son's iPhone wasn't working, he went to the Verizon in Annapolis, Old Solomons Island Rd. He had 2 payments left on his phone, paid it off received a new phone. The sales person gave him the phone, told him to purchase something to backup his data and sent him on the way. They didn't offer any advice, he thought the phone was ready to go once he back up and turned the new phone on. This is the 2nd time we've had bad service at this location. read more

If I could do less than one star I would. The sales people were the rudest people I have encountered in a long time. I needed help with an iPhone 12Pro that was having trouble since the day I turned it on. I explained my situation and that Verizon Tech suggested that I actually go to the store to talk with the people at the store to see if they could solve the problem. I have never felt so stupid in my life. They made me feel like they didn't want to help me, that I was a bother, and this is not my first iPhone and they still made me feel inadequate and an idiot. Micah and Patricia solved this old faht's problem with compassion, professionalism, and knowledge when finding out what was wrong with my Galaxy S9+ phone which Micah said was an old one...about 2 years old! I explained that a 75 year old regards "old" as 10-20 years ago...not so, with high tech Micah explained. He and Patricia solved my power problem and inserted a new SIM card. Works great! These two great folks help Verizon ensure my continued client loyalty. I couldn't give them more than 5 stars because the new technology didn't allow me to. Stay safe folks. read more

When a bad review is written About there customer service our billing, it's the same thing that they should be more clear about things. No it's not any being clear, it's being honest and tricking customers in switching and then adding things to it not needed such as unlimited data and then ten dollars off of unlimited when you sign up to auto pay. Then find out the unlimited also has 5G in it which I never used and go to down size data without 5G and then there is no discount lol I have a I phone and when changes happened I was sent a message my cloud was removed that I was paying for well I found out I shouldn't of been paying for a cloud anyway I have a Iphone which is I cloud so that's a few months off charges I shouldn't of had to pay for read more

This store and the people working here are professional and do not waste your time! Specifically, the manager, Micah, helped us out. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to product information, warranty details, and tech assistance! When coming in for a repair, the biggest thing I look for is quick and easy. When we arrived we had to wait almost a full hour before we were seen. I noticed several of the staff standing off in a corner talking and laughing. They were clearly not doing anything. When I asked one of the employees if the store had "Wi-Fi" he told me no. So I waited and asked someone else and they easily connected me to the stores "Wi-Fi" No one seemed to be in any type of hurry to attend to the customers and several of the employees were on their personal cell phones texting. It is truly embarrassing the lack of attention and interest this store shows. Once we were finally seen we worked with a man named Ritchie. He was a very pleasant person to talk with and he worked with us for about an hour to get my husband and his mother new phone plans. He was not the typical sales person. He listened to what we said we were looking for and did not try to sell us plans we couldn't afford. He offered us accessories as well as insurance but did not force them on us like many cell phone sales men do. After we left there was 1 problem with my husbands plan so I called the store back and spoke with Ritchie and he quickly apologized and said he would fix it. He then spoke with his manager and called me back within the week. The only person I would deal with in the future going back to this store is him. I have dealt with several employees in the past from this store and would not return unless Ritchie was working. Several of the employees have been very rude to me. They talk down to you, and demean you. They feel as if they know everything and you as the customer know nothing. Even when asking simple questions they speak to you like you are an idiot. When someone finally came over, they took my name and said it "wouldn't be long" and then they proceeded to help 2-3 other walk-in people before me. Verizon FIOS customer service is dreadful and duplicitous. They charge for services you do not have. Anyone willing to join me in a class action suit against Verizon? They promised 100-150 mps for 2 years. I discovered that because of where they put the modem--in my basement-- away from everything. I was not getting more than 47-50 mps in my house. I discovered how bad it was when I could not even keep small security cameras on the wireless network. Then I discovered I had been paying for 3 modems for 2 TVs. Aside from increasing my bill every 2 months, they then charged me for what I demanded they fix to begin with. I also was without TV for 14 days. You know what they offered me for all of this? They charged me $99.00 for the tech visit that I was not told about up front. Meanwhile, no fewer than six employees are standing along the window chatting with one another and ignoring customers. I ended up going to the Verizon kiosk in the mall and was in and out in literally one tenth the amount of time I was told that I'd have to wait to be served at this store. Such a piece of crap company. Swindled me into paying $10 more a month for basically the same damn service. Do NOT use their chat system EVER. They will lie to you and tell you that you can pay the same price and double you internet speed. And that it will be reflected on the next bill. The speeds changed, but so did the price. After 4 days of calling and several hours on hold, they say they can't do anything about my bill because the chat service is separate from the call department. What the actual F***!!! Verizon works better where I live than the other carriers and we have a total of 6 Verizon devices (2 Android phones, 2iPhones and 2 "standard" no frills phones). On all of my visits I've found the sales people to be friendly and knowledgeable of the products and services. The have a variety of smartphones, tablets and hotspots. I'm not sure I was wise to switch from a "unlimited" plan to the 10gb plan but it did save us over $100 per month on our bill ... time will tell. My only complaint is purchasing accessories. I recently purchased two accessories and had to sign in and wait. The Bluetooth headphones were locked onto the display case. It's painful to wait 30 minutes just to purchase accessories therefore, I'll purchase them at a "big box" store in the future. read more

Not bad...it was pretty busy and I was just in to get my software update for my LG Dare. Had to wait a bit but once I was up I just handed them my phone and they told me to come back in a few. Didn't have to wait to pick my phone up so that was nice. Hard to get attention when its busy but whatever. I would would rate this store a ZERO if I could! I will NEVER go to this store again. Of course because of Covid, you still need to make an appointment just to return an item to this store. Because I did not know their protocol, when I arrived to the store, there was an employee standing outside to greet people, his name is Curtis. He was so nasty to me because I did not have an appointment, he wanted nothing to do with me. I tried to explained to Curtis that I have been trying for a couple of weeks to return my charger and he said "that's not my fault" and proceeded to walk away. I said sir, I do not need to come inside, you can just take my charger and receipt and credit my account. He said No appointment, no service! I was shocked!! Then he proceeded to walk inside and lock the door rudely in my face. Good thing I had my mask on, I was so upset and in tears! There was another employee standing at the door and did absolutely nothing, nor said he was sorry to me. I started walking to my car and there was an elderly couple standing by their vehicle and said he did the same thing to them. Wow, how rude! I think this is HORRIBLE! I can't believe I just purchased a $1,200 new IPhone from them a few weeks ago and then they treat me like this. Wow! Just because of this employee & staff, I am considering taking my phone back and cancelling by service! Beware of the rudeness of the employees here! They do not take care of their customers. I have been dealing with Verizon for numerous years and have had nothing but headaches from their corporate stores and franchises. I dont care who manufacturers an item, but when I buy something - a new phone, a charger, case, tablets, etc, I really don't appreciate having the items go bad with in a 7 month time frame. Verizon answer seems to be to buy another, more expensive version of whatever it is. On occasion, I have done that only to have them go bad before the cheaper version has. Customer service at both the store level and on the phone has gone to hell in a hand basket. No one really seems to know what is going on and are only trained in sales - not the actual operation of the phones. I can hear them typing up my issues and searching for answers. The funny thing is that when you go and buy a cheaper, older phone, it doesn't appear to have any of the issues the supposed "newer, more advanced, better and definitely pricier phones" have. I'm giving this review 5 stars solely based on the customer service my mother and I received from Pedro today. Initially, we weren't helped for several minutes, so I approached a group of sales reps and said I needed assistance. While a couple of the employees just kind of stood there, Pedro jumped into action and immediately got us set up with exactly what we both needed. I often feel like I'm being sold something at Verizon when I'm not sure what I'm getting, but Pedro walked us through every little detail and hooked my mother and I up with phones that perfectly suited our very different needs. My mother is an interior designer and I'm a student and we both needed particular things for our phones. Pedro listened, figured out what would work for us, didn't try to get us to buy the most expensive items - just what would work best. Honestly, I have never been so satisfied with customer service and I work in the industry myself. Short story: if you have verizon and you need some help, go to the harbor center location and ask for Pedro. He's got your back. read more
