The Pop Corn Chicken W/ Extra Seasoning And A Almond Milk Tea or a Honey Dew Smoothie Hits The Spot Every Time. My 9 Year Old And I Eat It At Least Once A Week. The Owner is Friendly and Prices are Reasonable. read more

This place looks just like it did ten years ago when I used to frequent this place! The menu looks slightly different but the tables and chairs and ambiance is the same and it felt like transcending back in time. I wanted to get their pearl milk tea like back in the day they didn't have this specifically on the menu so I had to recreate it. The one I enjoyed a while ago had a distinct taste and was so frothy. I got the Jasmine green milk tea with boba and pudding and it didn't taste like old times. It's not bad, but just not how I remembered. Still good for the price and memories though! read more

Easy experience at this cafe! They specialize in a lot of drinks from boba, smoothies, and coffee. I got an iced hazelnut coffee since I needed a caffeine recharge. I ordered off their iPad and it was a quick and easy. Took about 5 minutes for my order to be ready since it was early around 2 pm. Nice interior with a dim atmosphere! Lots of tables and chairs for groups. read more

It's been a very long time since I have been here. It's still the same. Just a different owner. But it's still very good. Just the prices are much higher than in 2007. Twice as expensive. No boba at all when I got my order. Didn't realize till much later. Very deceiving. It's obvious that I didn't know as it was the first time since I have had a boba. Since there are others nearby, I will visit those instead. Shame on you! read more

I've been coming here for 15 years! It's a great local boba shop that provides affordable drinks and food. I haven't tried a lot of their flavored teas or smoothies, but if you're craving a black milk tea or jasmine milk tea with pearls, I recommend coming here! read more

I've been coming to this location since my middle school days, and I still love their popcorn chicken and fried squid! They make it so hot and fresh, and the kiosk ordering makes it very easy to see all the options and adjust the spiciness. I've seen the same worker every time--might be a local mom n pop's shop, for which I'm happy to support! Their drinks are your pretty standard quick boba shop pit stop level, not a craft tea like Chicha or Molly. Regardless, they have lots of options, and I love their grapefruit juice. The other drinks feel a bit powdery and super sweet, even at 50%, but again, that's just how it goes with these kinds of shops. Lots of seating indoors. Wishing this place the best! read more

Love ordering ahead on TPass esp if I'm ordering popcorn chicken or cuttlefish balls so it'll be ready for pick up! The reg size is like a large and the large is supersize! Still affordable $6 for "reg" w/ topping for the mint smoothie & around $5 for "reg" for milk teas w/topping. The owner/lady recently opened the seating area too. read more

Verde Tea Cafe - Large Mint mocha smoothie w/extra mini boba on side - Cafes Near Me - Mountain View, California

It is decent. Used to come often. Decent Jasmine green tea. Can get busy around lunch time so may take longer to get orders out at that time. I typically go for tea without toppings. read more

I am SO GLAD this boba shop is still here! So much nostalgia here. They are consistent and great small business. They are located conveniently at DT Mountain View. Quick service and reminds me of Taiwan boba tea! The fried chicken was also so good! read more

OG milk tea spot!!! If you're looking for a throwback to tapioca express/quicklys, this is the spot for you. They are so affordable and the tea taste great! This is the only tea spot I know that sells their drinks for under 6 bucks a cup! read more

Not into boba, but I am into Verde!! Got a simple iced mocha (50% sweetness was just right) and taiwan thick toast (butter), and it was delish, with a light crunch! Nice lil meal to start my Sunday (yes, at noon), and the perfect pick-me-up to prepare for the rest of my day. Cash only at the register, but you can use the self order kiosks at the front counter to pay by credit card. The place was empty, and only one other patron came by while I was there (though street parking was tough on this Sunday). Good amount of indoor seating, outlets by the tables, super convenient for charging laptops/phones. Service was great, and the kiosk quoted me a 15 minute wait for my order, but it was served to me at my table in less than 10 minutes. I appreciate the simple things, and this place exceeded my expectations with just that. So much to love about Verde! read more

Very good been coming here for a while! Delicious! Honestly this place or the Tea Era the Ume doesn't have the strawberry slush anymore. This place gud! read more

Used to have one in Cupertino when I went to high school but I think the one in mountain view is the only location left. It's one of the best boba and snacks for the price. I usually get the cuttlefish ball and popcorn chicken, glad that they have the option in this location too. They also have the mini bobas in this location which I can't find anywhere else. read more

I tried adding taro chunks to my taro milk tea for the first time and it was a great decision. The taro chunks had the perfect amount of sweetness and took the drink to another level. The taro milk tea is on the sweeter side itself so if you're not someone who likes your drinks that sweet I'd recommend adjusting the sweetness level lower. read more

Very tasty popcorn chicken and hot coconut milk tea Wish they would improve their original milk tea like the olden days tho! I think they need to put more effort if they want to stay competitive. Verde is the OG of bubble tea! I've been going to this place for ~30 years, since the mid-90s back in college! Despite ownership changes, they've somehow managed to retain the original recipe. I've literally tried every bubble tea chain in the Bay Area since then (and I drink bubble tea at least 4x/week), and this place does the classic milk teas the best! Another pro is that their prices haven't kept up with inflation. The only con is they sometimes go on vacation without much warning, and you end up driving back home empty handed and disappointed!! read more

Family has been going here since 1999. It is the OG boba place. Great consistency, great drinks. I could see it being underrated by new gen boba drinkers that aren't as used to authentic boba. Milk teas are great, boba is great, I recommend getting your drink 50 percent sweet. read more

Honestly, one of the oldest places for boba that I know. As more and more places open up, each with their own artisinal twist and gimmick, it's nice to know that Verde is still around to keep things chill. I paid $15 for a large hot oolong milk tea and an order of popcorn chicken. Honestly, in this day and age, this price is pretty good. They have a pretty spacious seating area for people to post up and hang out at. I was doing some work, and there was a duo next to me playing chess. I find this very refreshing as most boba places closed off their seating during the pandemic and made it into storage areas. It's nice to be able to sit in the boba shop to just hang. The hot oolong milk tea was good. The popcorn chicken was okay. I like the crispiness of the exterior, but I think that because the size of the chicken was kind of smaller, the longer frying for the exterior made some of the pieces a little dry. BUT, still good popcorn chicken overall. Would recommend, and would come back if I am in the area since I love supporting local mom and pop shops. read more

I think this might be the last verde milk tea in the bay area, which makes this cafe very special to me. I remember going to the Verde in Cupertino before it turned into a supercue , then a tiger sugar. My verde go-to would always be the mint milk tea! It is hands down the best! The tiny pearls are just perfect together! It tastes exactly like the one I would get in Cupertino. It makes me happy that all Verde franchises are consistent in terms of drink recipes. read more

Got my boba almond milk tea with taro chunks quite quickly. I just ordered at the kiosk and waited. They had 2 kiosks to order from. If a l was delicious and refreshing. I'd come here again. read more

Cozy spot with amazing bubble tea! The taro flavor is a must-try. Friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere

Now I know Verde is first and foremost a boba shop, but honestly their smoothies are being slept on. Ordered the Summer Love smoothie that is essentially a banana, peach, mango, passionfruit(?), strawberry(?) smoothie. While other tea places tend to just throw in some syrup or ice cream and put it in a blender, Verde uses real ingredients which is reflected in the quality of smoothie they are putting out. If you haven't tried this on their menu yet, would highly recommend it :) Also, they have online ordering too which makes it quite convenient if you are in a rush! read more

It's been many years since i've been back here. It's still as good as it used to be after all these years. We had the peach smoothie and the pina colada smoothie. Both were really good. The pearls are also the perfect texture. Their prices are super reasonable and the size of the drinks as well. I highly recommend it. read more

I came in on a busy Friday afternoon with some friends, and it was my first visit today. I absolutely loved it! They offer a self-serve kiosk for ordering, which helps keep the line short. I also appreciate the option to customize sweetness, ice, and boba size. Although I received the wrong sweetness level, I was happy to get 25% instead of the 50% I had selected. I ordered the lychee green tea regular, which was a great deal at just $5! I'll definitely be coming back soon. read more

One of the most affordable boba places left on Castro. (The other would be Tea Era.) You order on a kiosk and you'll hear your drinks get called out when they're ready! I got a Peach Tea with Decaf Jasmine Green Tea and Crystal Boba, 25% sweetness. Perfect drink for a summer day and not too sweet. Love that this place has decaf teas and non-dairy creamers! Will visit again when I want another simple fruit tea! read more

For 20 years I've tried dozens of boba shops around the bay area as they came and went. At the end of the day I keep coming back to Verde. Verde has the most "classic" take on pearl milk tea and is reminiscent of what you might find in a Taipei night market. It's a little on the milky and sweet side. Not as bitter and floral as what premium milk tea shops sell. Not as sweet as the insanely sugary/syrupy offerings of trendy new shops (and not as expensive either haha). Of course it's all a matter of personal preference but to me it's just... perfect. read more

The best boba tea restaurant in silicon valley. The boba is very authentic and the drinks are all very well made. I buy their decaf fruit tea all the time, everyday almost, and i just feel better and very satisfied each time I finish. It's a rewarding feeling. In addition, I am able to customize the drink in accordance to my desires and that is especially important when my kids keep wanting to drink fruit drinks all the time- can't be too sweet for them. Their popcorn chicken and other hand snacks are extremely delicious too, very much like the hand snack foods you buy in night markets in Taiwan. read more

Great boba shop! Service: If paying with card, you will need to use the self-serve kiosk. It was quick and easy. Drinks: I ordered a mint (oat)milk tea with black tea and boba. 12/10! Flavor is wonderful and the mint isn't too overpowering. Boba is soft and chewy, without it being mushy. read more

Don't have any complaints. Both the drinks and the food are very nice, and so if you find yourself on Castro looking for a quick bite or a beverage, Verde is always a good option. Service is usually quite fast, and the staff are quiet but nice. read more

Cute little tea shop, and they also sell cute little snacks. Just ate dinner so didn't get to try any snacks, but I wish I could have! Their original Pearl Milk Tea was good, and they have crystal boba, which made me happy. If you want (or need) boba, this place will get the job done. read more

Popped in to grab a cold drink during the heat wave. Not my top spot in MTV but other boba shops in the area weren't open around 11am on a Sunday. Got the jasmine green milk tea with pearl and it it the spot! 50% sugar wasn't crazy sweet and pearls had a good chewy texture. Bonus points for this COVID precautions. They only let one party in at a time. You're supposed to wait outside the door until the party before you exits. Just be assertive in telling guests behind you to stand 6 feet back. There is hand sanitizer at the counter. I used my own hand sanitizer spray on keypad when paying with credit card. All staff seemed to be wearing masks. Drinks are made pretty quickly after ordering! In and out in about 5 mins. read more

I believe this is the only milk tea shop left in the peninsula carrying one of my favorite drinks, wheat germ milk tea; better still, they also have coffee milk tea (another one of my favorites) and will even combine them into (unsweetened) wheat germ coffee milk tea, which I'm pretty sure no other shop would... so, kudos for diversity & flexibility! read more

Verde Tea Cafe should gain more attention with their drink and food quality + amazing service. Being their long term customer is one of my best decisions because I cannot even find any place that has great peach tea. Only $1 for 3-4x boba compared to other places. Peach tea is so flavorful that I could not ask for more. Also got popcorn chicken and it is yummy (moist, crunchy, and great seasoning.) If you need a nice and cozy place to study, or to meet up with friends, Verde will be your great choice. read more
