Easy experience at this cafe! They specialize in a lot of drinks from boba, smoothies, and coffee. I got an iced hazelnut coffee since I needed a caffeine recharge. I ordered off their iPad and it was a quick and easy. Took about 5 minutes for my order to be ready since it was early around 2 pm. Nice interior with a dim atmosphere! Lots of tables and chairs for groups.

Love ordering ahead on TPass esp if I'm ordering popcorn chicken or cuttlefish balls so it'll be ready for pick up! The reg size is like a large and the large is supersize! Still affordable $6 for "reg" w/ topping for the mint smoothie & around $5 for "reg" for milk teas w/topping. The owner/lady recently opened the seating area too.

Not into boba, but I am into Verde!! Got a simple iced mocha (50% sweetness was just right) and taiwan thick toast (butter), and it was delish, with a light crunch! Nice lil meal to start my Sunday (yes, at noon), and the perfect pick-me-up to prepare for the rest of my day. Cash only at the register, but you can use the self order kiosks at the front counter to pay by credit card. The place was empty, and only one other patron came by while I was there (though street parking was tough on this Sunday). Good amount of indoor seating, outlets by the tables, super convenient for charging laptops/phones. Service was great, and the kiosk quoted me a 15 minute wait for my order, but it was served to me at my table in less than 10 minutes. I appreciate the simple things, and this place exceeded my expectations with just that. So much to love about Verde!

Used to have one in Cupertino when I went to high school but I think the one in mountain view is the only location left. It's one of the best boba and snacks for the price. I usually get the cuttlefish ball and popcorn chicken, glad that they have the option in this location too. They also have the mini bobas in this location which I can't find anywhere else.

Oolong milk tea with crystal boba... large!

I love the large size of the boba drinks here. The cup must be 32 oz for about $6. Oolong tea is my favorite but I also get the smoothies here. Great place to stop by after lunch in Mountain View downtown.

Very tasty popcorn chicken and hot coconut milk tea Wish they would improve their original milk tea like the olden days tho! I think they need to put more effort if they want to stay competitive. I'll return for their popcorn chicken and hot coconut milk tea. Hope they can go quality over quantity, just look at their extensive menu! But most are no bueno

Verde is the OG of bubble tea! I've been going to this place for ~30 years, since the mid-90s back in college! Despite ownership changes, they've somehow managed to retain the original recipe. I've literally tried every bubble tea chain in the Bay Area since then (and I drink bubble tea at least 4x/week), and this place does the classic milk teas the best! Another pro is that their prices haven't kept up with inflation. The only con is they sometimes go on vacation without much warning, and you end up driving back home empty handed and disappointed!!

About average tea and below average boba. The kind of place you should just get Thai tea at.

Okay but... a hotel coffee shop with good matcha? That's the plot twist I didn't know I needed…read more We stopped here on my way out of Santa Clara heading to San Francisco -- it's conveniently close to a bunch of other spots, and since it's tucked inside a hotel, parking was ridiculously easy. (Underrated luxury.) Now, the hotel itself? Visually... a moment. It looked like someone invested serious money into it, but the design felt a little space-meets-startup-meets-what's-happening-here. Some elements felt elevated, others felt a bit makeshift. I genuinely couldn't tell what the theme was -- futuristic? celestial? boutique-on-a-budget? I'm still processing. The front desk team was clearly well-trained and knowledgeable -- they had every answer, every stat, every rate breakdown ready. But the warmth? Missing. I was hoping for a little storytelling since I'd never heard of the hotel before, and instead got a very matter-of-fact "we've been here five years" energy. Efficient, yes. Inviting, not quite. But let's talk about why you're really here: the coffee shop. Completely different vibe. Two people working, both genuinely happy, welcoming, and quick. We ordered a latte and a matcha to go -- total was about $22, which made me blink for a second -- but then I tasted the matcha. Oh. This wasn't the overly sweet, dusty-green situation you sometimes get. It tasted clean. Real. High-quality. The kind of matcha that feels intentional. I love Firehouse in Marin, but this? This was closer to serious coffee roaster-level quality. Smooth, organic-tasting, beautifully balanced. You could tell they care about what they're serving. Branding was strong, the space was cute, and I could absolutely see myself sitting there with my laptop pretending I'm writing something important. We grabbed ours to go, but it had that easy, airy, "stay awhile" energy. Would I book the hotel? Jury's still out. They don't have an in-house spa and mentioned bringing in third-party services for certain amenities, which made it feel a little less full-service than I expected. Would I go back for the coffee shop? Without hesitation. Delicious drinks, easy parking, quick service, and a vibe that actually makes you want to come back. Sometimes the side character steals the show -- and in this case, it's 100% the matcha.

Because, once again, I was distracted by the quality of the food, and there would be no way for me to do anything else, but to eat! Today, I was in the mood for something more than a salad (much as I wanted to preset what I had the first time coming here, I made a concerted effort to order something else...), thus I chose the Forager Flatbread. It took less time to make this time (roughly about five minutes after ordering), and when it came out, I marveled at how it looked like a work of art! Just beautiful! Each piece of herbed formage blanc flatbread had a nice, crunchy bottom (but not blackened) and a slightly tanginess, with a a good amount of "hen-of-the-wood" mushrooms, sweet roasted garlic and a bed of arugula. My, oh, my! My first bite was a multi-level extravaganza! The crunch of the bread, followed by the aroma of the herbs and arugula, then the saltiness of the cheese, the sweetness of the roasted garlic, the earthiness of the mushrooms - all came together as just a wonderful work of culinary art! This being my first time eating today, my saliva glands just fired off at first bite, causing a bit of intense pain from too much saliva shooting out. But, seriously, this was a very delicious entree, that I enjoyed from start to finish! Bravo for this second joyous experience!

Craftsman and Wolves is a killer crafts bakery that makes the perfect Kouign-amann. The shop does many things including a signature bread pudding, small in size but big in flava. Measures maybe two and a half inches diameter, an inch thick. Packs a wonderful wowie punch with the seasonally ripe berries and fruit, plus a few pieces of specialty chocolate. My friend who knows from excellent pastries says the goods at C and W are special because the sugars in each item are balanced, not excessive. The goodies we sampled together were scrumptious. Somehow even my pedestrian palate senses that these dessert thingies are distinctive and of ultra quality. Ambiance-wise, it's a noisy place with a few tables lining the windows. You are elbow to elbow practically against neighbouring tables. I know I heard every syllable of the conversation going on to my right-hand side. I also knew it was Korean, so I couldn't successfully eavesdrop... boooooo. Very unique metallic artsy fashioned chairs make the space seem modern. There's merch in the corner and on a wall. You can get coffee drinks too. Service is excellent: the majestically tall staffer -- who I thought was manager but isn't -- was the kindest friendliest soul, very pleasant to chat with. Craftsman crew were mad busy, but always with smiles and ready to help customers. You won't find any bakery bites that are not delectable at Craftsman and Wolves. Kool yummy easy five stars.

Small coffee shop sized with maybe seating for a dozen inside and a few small tables outside. I wasn't too familiar with their offerings, but I did know that it was chef driven and dedicated to quality. And in my short peek, I somewhat was able to confirm that. Drip Coffee (4*) Solid, bold and enough smoothness for me to want to savor it. Not as dark and roasty as Peets but good enough for me, especially to go with their delectable pastries. Kouign Amman (5*) I love B Patisserie's version that is flaky but saturated in buttery sugar, that I can only tolerate 1 of those at a time. Very rich and decadent. I have never seen a version quite like Craftmans and Wolves but that is what I found adoring. The exterior almost seems fried like a doughnut/cronut but totally not sure. It kinda had that bubbled exterior but not blatantly obvious. And there was just enough sugar cooked into it that it made it stealthy sweet, I'd say easily half the amount of sugar as B Pâtisserie's. Not that I would eat 2 of these in one sitting, but I easily could. Croissant Pudding (5*) They do these tiny mini bread puddings that can be heated up. We chose it as is, room temp and it was still fantastic. They use croissants as the 'bread' so it isn't as dense as a regular bread pudding. But their custard to bread ratio was masterful and this version (think they change the variations often) has burst of fresh raspberry and chunks of Dulce which is like a caramelized/browned white chocolate made by Valrhona. (I had to look that ingredient up as I never heard until now.) And to take alternate bites between the flaky and unique Kouign Amman and the creamy and slightly dense pudding with sips of quality black coffee, just initiated me an avid fan of Craftsman and Wolves. Seriously smacks!

They offer a variety of drinks, from lattes to milk teas to shakes. Some of my favorites include the Mocha Latte and Ube Milk Tea. The only disappointment was the Mermaid, but I'm not a green tea drinker so maybe it's just not my taste. The drinks lean sweet, so for those who prefer less sugar than me (i.e. most people), you should adjust accordingly. Meanwhile, the desserts are just as diverse and delicious. I enjoyed the Ube Cashew Brownie and Milo Cupcake, but would recommend the Ube Leche Flan Cupcake for your first visit. One trend across their offerings is the use of Filipino flavors like ube, Milo, and sweet corn. It makes them stand out in the crowded cafe & boba market. On the other aspects.. the store itself isn't too big but is well-decorated. There's not much seating so most will just order to-go. The service is usually quick so that's not an issue. Overall, I highly recommend checking out Café 86, as I'm pretty sure you'll find something you like.
