Always nice experience while eating in. The drinks are great, food is wonderful and the service is quick.

Everything is good. We have never received anything that didn't taste good. If I had one complaint it's they put white cheese on almost everything. Wit staff is nice. It's a bit on the speedy side for Mexican food but it's still a good value. We always have a good time. read more

Three stars because the customer service was great! Our servers were very attentive and kept our drinks refilled, chips, etc. Although our group of 6 were in a lunch meeting and our conversations were heavy, informative, prayer, etc. The servers never once overstepped nor interrupted. They were professionals. Ambiance Love it! Very chilled and calm can be considered romantic depending on who you come with. Great for meetings, dates, randomly stopping by just to visit the bar, etc. Star Rating 3 I gave this place at three because the taste of the food was not authentic and I guess because when I've tried authentic Mexican restaurants there's more of a flavor from whatever dish I choose from the inside out like I love when my meat or my poultry of choice is flavored as well as the sauce accompanying it and the tortilla wraps and whatever is on top so, in this case, I ordered the "enchilada Trio" which I have three different chicken enchiladas two that was covered with Molé and one that was covered like a sweet Molé on black beans and have black beans on the side with Parmesan I think it was Parmesan cheese that was on top and the rice; the rice my plate came out it was kind of warm it wasn't hot so the rice was cold by the time I can even taste it or put in my mouth. I did not like the temperature of my plate like I said before it was like warm it wasn't hot like it was freshly cooked I don't like the sweet Molé in their Molé it just tasted like it was store-bought opposed to like homemade of that it was missing in the authenticity. Recommendation Yes and No If your getting the meal free yes! If your paying your own hard earn money and want authentic Mexican food that would a No. Again this is my opinion, my experience and my taste buds Go try and see for yourself. read more

I've come to this location/ establishment more times than plenty . Being an individual from Southern California, my expectations on Mexican food is a little high . Although Veracruz wasn't what I expected , but I'm also hard to please. let me first say they did not disappoint me either. The location it's self is always a little tight/crowded. I've gone on both a weekday as well as a weekend and business is always flowing and consistent. They move fast and the food is good too .. not a huge deal breaker , but there are a few of the workers whom don't understand or speak very much English. It can be a little frustrating trying to communicate with your sever about what you want and he/she doesn't comprehend. Nevertheless, our food came out correct for the most part and we enjoyed our food and drinks. They play decent music surprisingly! I Heard a mixture of R&B, some old school and a little of hip hop. I'm assuming that they're trying to cater to the majority of their clientele and I say that without being bias. It's a really nice spot . With the way their business is booming I suggest a bigger location so that people aren't eating elbows to elbows and breathing on the next persons neck. read more

I have never been to a restaurant with more attentive wait staff than here! Everyone was so kind, helpful, and ATTENTIVE. I think the reason I'm so impressed is because they were actually pretty busy, and they were on top of things as if we were the only ones there. The food was great - enchilada trio, peace pipe, and nachos. The chicken on the nachos was a bit dry, but overall good. The rice was perfectly fluffy, just not well-seasoned. I would go back just for the 5-star customer service. Definitely recommend. read more

Vera Cruz on Cedar Hill has drifted downward in food quality over the last six months. Not sure where they purchase their chicken but it must have been produced in my childhood.., I am 71 Rubbery And the fajitas are not fajitas The beef looks like it came off a Greek rotisserie. SO Sad read more

Depending on what Chef is on duty, the food can be excellent. Coming from Texas, I think I am a good judge of good Mexican and Tex Mex. There is clearly more than one Chef at this restaurant. I've been 6 times and of the 6, 3 times have been AMAZING. The other 3.... Meh Their table side quac is consistently good (how can you screw up guacamole?) - Their drinks are inconsistent as well which is a bummer because I love a good cocktail! Overall, not bad. read more

We went here for a girls day dinner. The workers were so nice to us and made us feel very welcomed. The food was so good and big portions. We enjoyed ourselves so much. The only thing we had any kind of problem with was we each paid for ourselves and the waitress charged us gratuity 20% on every one of our tickets. The food is more Aztec/Mexican than traditional Mexican so it's a little different variety than some are used to seeing... But so worth it! Presentation & taste of food was excellent. With generous portions.... Wonderful authentic flavours, fresh salsa and chips, pretty attentive service.... Service was prompt and courteous, prices reasonable, the decor festive.  The Jarochitas (Mexican egg rolls - with chicken, cheeses and spinach) were delicious and the sauce with them (Crema Hausteca) was so good that I asked if they bottled and sold it (they don't).  The chips were crispy and tasty and the salsa was delicious and not too spicy. Margaritas are always on point....However the meltdown cocktail is my favorite and have me feeling just right when I leave. :) So I'm very glad I have this close to my home. Although I have been to the one on the Bishop Arts District.... It's a really good treat to have both of them in the Southwest area.... Love this place!!! read more

Yum yum YUM! If you're looking for some authentic Mayan food with a hint of Tex Mex this place is for you. I ordered the dark chicken wrapped in a banana leaf and to be honest I've never had such a tender, moist piece of chicken in my life. I recommend trying the spicy salsa they give you with the complementary chips it has such amazing flavors. Unfortunately I couldn't find the exact name for this dish on the menu they have on their website but it was amazing. The staff were so kind and helpful, and you could tell they were also taking Covid seriously. Unlike a lot of restaurants unfortunately. If you're looking for somewhere with unique delicious food and kind people you definitely need to visit this place! read more

Literally my favorite restaurant ever. I've been going here since I was a kid and now I'm 22. I come here every year for my birthday... that's how much i love this place. I've never been disappointed with their service. The servers are so attentive- best service you will ever get! The food is bomb and their margaritas are out of this world.
