Great food, great prices, decent service. The food was super tasty and there was enough to fill me and have some leftover to take home. However we did not get a single drink refill - a pretty basic service. The prices were pretty cheap compared to what you typically find. Now I am not the type to write a review but let me say this place is HORRENDOUS! Ordered a 3 taco plate and was charged $18 which was already alarming but I went through with it. I take my first bite and immediately spit out the food. THESE Were THE WORST TACOS IVE EVER HAD IN 23yrs of life. Our family was a big fan of this local restaurant since the staff is always friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, the food has taken a turn for the worse. My daughter and her fiance enjoy this place so they brought me while I was in town visiting. I was not as impressed. My plate (the enchiladas) had way to much cheese sauce which taste like it was made with Velveeta. If I lived in Dallas I wouldn't come again. I'm new to the area & I have been looking for a new Mexican restaurant that serves breakfast all day and also has a large menu and bar. Well this place has it all. The chips are not greasy and the salsa is just the right amount of spicy. I had tostadas and rice and the food was fresh. My lunch date had sunny side up eggs with Carnitas and wedge french fries that was also delicious. I will definitely be returning. read more

I came here under the recommendation of my family. We came and ordered two chimichangas, shrimp nachos, and a quesadilla. It's a cute and cozy restaurant. Of course because of COVID you can't really eat inside but the decor is quaint. We ordered close to closing time so I do give them props for accommodating us. The food was overall tasty, well seasoned. However it was pretty greasy. My nachos had that layer of oil, most likely from the cheese which isn't too appetizing. This is actually one of three locations for this mexican restaurant. When a place is good enough to expand (and stay in business), you know it must not be too bad. First, the chips and salsa - not bad. They are thick chips and salsa was heavier on the tomato and peppers, but good. The menu is huge, with lots of non-typical tex-mex offerings. The shrimp salad looked awesome in the picture on the menu. I had sour cream enchiladas. The chicken was all white meat and moist and flavorful. Service was good. I ordered a large Posole to go and it was so good. Came with all the fixings minus avocado and plenty of very tender pork. You have a choice of tostadas or chips. My family enjoys coming to this place. Great food and great prices!! The salsa served with the chips is AMAZING. The enchiladas are pretty good and so are the fajitas. The chicken fajitas are usually dry so I would recommend getting beef or shrimp. The staff is pretty friendly. I would recommend dining here for Great Mexican food. read more

Worst ever. Ordered poblano shrimp and the cream sauce was just clotted sour cream. First, the dish was served with no utensils. See the picture of what I was given when I asked for utensils. Dish was served with French fries. Weird. Asked for refrained beans. 15 minutes later haven't seen the server. The shrimp were okay, but most were not cleaned properly. See picture. I wish there was a zero stars for this place. wife and I ordered fajitas for me just sopapillas for her. Onions and bell peppers were mostly raw, got corn tortillas instead of flour on the fajitas and no sopapillas came out. Waitress said she would be right back with the sopapillas. She did not ever come back at all. No drink refills. We had also ordered two Coronarita's if they could make them on the rocks, she said yes, so we were good. finally I went to the manager and canceled the sopapillas because we were tired of waiting, he looked puzzled and said ok. After getting tired of waiting for the check I went to the cashier to pay. after paying noticed we paid an extra $4 for Margaritas on the rocks! The manager knew we recieved bad service and had no remorse to comp us the $4 or the $3 for the coke that never got refilled. He literally laughed at me for asking. Not even mentioning the food was bland and there was no seasoning what so ever. read more

My Wife & I ate at this particular Los Tapatios for the first time today, we live in Waxahachie & had in the past frequented the one in town, that is until they put up the no open or concealed carry signs, now we can't give them or business, we stopped here at the Cedar Hill restaurant & found only the unlicensed possession sign. The chips & Salsa maybe some of the best that we have had, everything tasted so fresh. My beef fajitas were good, my Wife had the Chimichanga and she said everything was good. Upon arrival, place was packed with Mexicans, and I was a happy Mexican, as this is a good sign when trying out a new Mexican restaurant. Our server was very attentive and friendly and our appetizers came out quick. Food was good and at a good price. Some of the meat in my gordita plate needed a little more seasoning, but satisfying. I went to this restaurant based on old reviews. Not the best salsa but certainly not the worst I've ever had. Gentleman that sat me also took my order. The food is always good and hot! Today I got the filet de mojo de ajo! Very delicious! The staff is always nice and courteous and the place nice and tidy. This place came to me recommended by a co-worker. Well when I walked in I was greeted and sat within moments. Chips and salsa almost right away. The young staff was loud in conversation which at first was no big deal but than as she came to table still holding conversation with another staff member. I placed my order. Over all food was very good, had to remind her of one item but the volume of the staff for even louder. Just kept from peaceful dining. They were not busy at all while I was there. Worst breakfast tacos i've ever had!!!! I took one bite and was done. First thing, my order was wrong. Also, why in the hell do my tacos smell like f@$& hot dogs?! The eggs taste like they were cooked with frickin nasty ass hotdogs!!! What the hell??? Secondly, i hate when restaurants use crumbled bacon. I want strips of bacon or at least pieces large enough to identify it as actual bacon. Third, you have pics of foods smothered with cheddar cheese but you put white cheese on breakfast tacos? You didn't even give me an option? And what kind of place doesn't give you salsa with yout tacos?!?! Lastly, if i wanted eggs in my taco i would have asked for it! Bean and cheese tacos without egg is a thing!!! Damn. It may be petty but when i pay $3 for a damn breakfast taco i have the right to have these basic expectations.
