Had the Bario breakfast sandwich on the cheddar & jalepeno bagel, it was super fresh, full of flavor, & yummy! The Bikini bottom tea was very refreshing. Vibes are great, service was good, a bit slow, but they were pretty busy, with a non stop line out the door. So be prepared to be there for a bit. Would definitely come back.

Wonderful bohemian cafe with plenty of seating for the remote worker or casual meetups. Kid friendly. The service and staff were helpful and friendly. I came about mid morning, there was adequate seating available inside and outside. I order the churro latte (signature drink) and a pour over. I was able to choose the roast which i opted for the Barrio medium roast. Flavorful and tasty coffee! Prices were reasonable and they had many drink options. They also can do regular, cold and French press brews. There were still some pastries available as well and lunch. I would definitely come here again and try some of their other signature drinks.

Super cute café! They have a lot of things on their menu but I stuck with a Signature drink since it was my first time! I got a Churro Latte w/ oat milk & loved it!

Love going here for the empanadas they are amazing. They usually sell out quickly and may not be available if you go after 10 am. The service is good and the restaurant is quaint. They can get busy, so I suggest going early before the rush. Will be back for the empanadas and to try the breakfast sandwiches.

This was my first time here as I was next door shopping, so I decided to stop by. The cafe looked like it's gotten some history as you can tell from their decor and designs of the place, kind of like a living room with dining tables and home-like photos placed in similar positions like you'd place family photos on the wall. I don't really know how to describe it. This place is not the typical aesthetically pleasing cafe, but it feels like it's been there for a long time. There were quite a few people chilling or doing some work, so I'd recommend this place to be the ideal spot as it's also kind of quiet and cozy. There's also outdoor seating in front of the cafe too, which is a nice plus! The staff were kind and attentive to me when I was ordering. They were a bit busy, but still gave me the best customer service. I ordered the Thai tea as I found it interesting that their Thai tea had vanilla and cocoa powder dusted on top. When I first took a sip, I actually liked it a lot! If you're looking for regular Thai tea, this isn't it. This tasted creamy with a subtle hint of Thai tea. I love Thai tea don't get me wrong, but this I don't mind getting it again. It wasn't too sweet either, which is a nice bonus as I don't like it too sweet. I wouldn't say it's like milk tea- Thai tea, but a horchata consistency Thai tea. Will get it again!

What a cozy coffee place!!!! There is lots of art on the walls!!! Great friendly staff!!! I will defiantly be back!!! They bake there delicious pastries!!!! I ordered a Chocolate Croissant and Hot Chai Tea with Soy Milk. I got a Cinnamon Roll to go. There are plenty of tables inside and outside. I chose to eat inside, the atmosphere is chill, great place to meet friends for breakfast or lunch!!! I picked up the Chocolate Croissant, it felt flaky to the touch, I took a bite and it could smell butter and chocolate. What a crispy and flaky croissant!!! DELICIOUS!!!!! Plenty of chocolate inside and on the top!!!! The Chai Tea was made perfectly, made my taste buds happy!!! I needed a treat this morning and coming to BARRIO was the perfect remedy for this!!! I highly recommend BARRIO to anyone looking for a great place to sit and chat or a good place for delicious eats!!!!

    8/4/23: breakfast burrito with veggies

10:30a.m. saturday. Great neighborhood joint with a chill vibe, Michael Jackson playing in the background. Lots of great choices on the menu, sweet and/or savory. Fancy local bread, $12 a loaf. This time I chose a veggies breakfast burrito to go. They forgot my order, so after 15 minutes or so, I checked in and reminded them I was waiting. It was cooked within 2 minutes. At home, had a leisurely lunch of veggies breakfast burrito. Super cheesy, with red chile, spinach, mushrooms and cheese on a flour tortilla. Good taste, definitely generously large. Ultimately satisfying.

You have to purchase a beer card by leaving your debit/credit card on file and then use the beer card to make your purchases. When you're done, you turn the beer card in and they charge your card for what you drank. The selections of beer were many. This is a serve yourself room for the beer, many glasses available. There was also a hosted bar if you want to get mixed drinks. We sat there for a while and weren't brought a food menu until just before we were ready to leave. We didn't get to try any of the food. That was a bit disappointing. The room is quite small. I can imagine on a busy night, there is a wait due to the limited seating. The big screen tv's made watching sports fun. Overall, for the beer selection, my husband said he would come back again. I liked the design of the place. With authentic flavors and food items, there's not many like it around town. Bodega serves up food from the Caribbean Islands. One of their most popular dishes is their jerk chicken. They have this both as a chicken wing appetizer and as a plated dinner. I personally really enjoy white meat when it comes to chicken and the dinner plate was leg and thigh so I opted to go with the wing appetizer. My only complaint about it was its size. I thought it could have had more wings as I thoroughly enjoyed each one with the jerk sauce I added to it. The wings were very crisp on the outside and full of flavor. Adding the jerk sauce or their house made hot sauces enhanced the flavor even more. I could really see myself coming just for these wings! I also had the Cubano sandwich. This hot, pressed sandwich has ham, cheese, pickles, and mustard. It's a popular item that also is bursting with flavor. The combination of all the ingredients was mouthwatering. It comes with a side of fries to round out the meal. Service at Bodega was very nice. We found the servers to be very patient with us and the food came out reasonably. I was specifically there for a birthday party where we had cake being served from outside the restaurant. Bodega has a cake cutting charge, but seeing our tiny cake they waived it for us! It's a cute restaurant and definitely different than many you will find around Sacramento. If you're in the pocket area, Bodega is well worth a visit!

In such seasons, one must seek humble refuge without forfeiting the joys of chilled drink and human discourse. And so it was, with coin in short supply and thirst in full command, that I crossed the border into Hollywood Park, that slightly wilder realm beyond our well-manicured hedges. There I discovered The Pocket Club--a bar untouched by time and unbothered by pretense. The decor whispered of 1977--shuffleboard, portable fans, and the faint musk of bygone regrets. Behind the bar stood Janet, barkeep of grit and grace, whose no-nonsense charm and swift service are worth two stars all on their own. She does not suffer fools, nor does she tolerate tab openers who can't finish their drink. When she asked what I wanted, I replied, with the survival instincts of a duke in exile, "Beer."
