Edit: Started going to Diane, and she is amazing!! She makes them perfect every time and is really friendly.

I have been here about 5 times now and have never felt comfortable. I use the coupon they have in the paper each time for a pedicure. I prefer the simple pedi nothing extra. As soon as they find out all you want is the basic pedi they don't want to be bothered with you and give you no attention. When she finished with me today and I pulled out my $ and coupon my lady and the other employee next to her looked at each other and laughed and of course talked about me in their language. I don't need to know what you are saying it's obvious!! So NONE professional. Why put the coupons in the paper if you don't want your customers to use them! My visit today will be my LAST!!! read more

Thank you Emily for doing an amazing job and fixing me when I lost my color lol. You're smile is infectious.....keep up the good work. read more

Venus Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Ramona, California

I've looked on Yelp for nail salons all around Ramona, and Venus Nails had the best reviews and pictures as other places had reviews of infections. Venus Nails was very nice but a long wait. Almost 50 minutes. And with the prices, I got regular French Tips and the price on their board said $25.00. I had to pay $40.00 plus a tip. read more

Just got home from Venus Nails after getting a manicure and pedicure and I'm so not happy. I arrived around 9 am, when they opened and they saw me right away. The water for my spa pedicure was not to my liking even after she asked if it felt good and I told her it didn't. I felt like rather than focusing on doing a quality job, that she was focusing on upselling me. If I wanted the pedicure with all the freaking rubs and waxes, I would have asked for it. She did a good job of talking me into the callus remover pedicure and I give the two stars for that. My feet are pretty darn soft right now. I am, however, disappointed with so, so much about my visit. Here's a little list in addition to the cold pedicure water and the constant upselling: 1. If the price list says you get an 8 minute massage, don't start your timer, walk away, get some lotion, talk about the new purse the lady got and then come back to me to start my message. (She did this with both my manicure and pedicure. I'm certain I was lucky to get about a 5 minute massage). 2. Put a base coast on. Geesh. I was lucky enough to get one coat of top coat on my feet and nails. Wow. 3. Don't start another client and ask me to wait two minutes. That two minutes turned in to 20. Even the other client looked worried about me. 4. NO!!!! My hands aren't sooooo dry that I need your fancy manicure. Just give me the dang classic manicure. 5. Don't send someone always with bubbles in their nails. I'm going to sit down right now and repaint my own nails after I just spent time and money to have someone else do it. I'm bummed. Learn from me and find somewhere else to go for your mani/pedi needs. read more

I really like the herbal spa here where they put essential oils in the foot bath, and give you extra massage time and rub essential oil sugar scrub on your skin. Not only does it make you feel super soft and nice, but I get the cocoa one and I smell like brownies for the next day and a half. Love it! It is pretty pricy ($100 for a gel mani and pedi with the herbal treatment on both, ouch!) And so far, every lady that has done my nails ranges from pretty good to amazingly good, no bad nail jobs yet. The one star I have to deduct is that some of the ladies understand you just fine unless they are trying to upsell you. Like it goes from "her: oh yes, the weather we are having today is quite lovely" to "me: no thank you, I would not care for a design", "her: oh yes, you say you want design, paraffin wax, herbal spa and sandwich from next door, that will be $200". "Me: Wait! I didn't agree to that... and she's gone... crap, I guess I'll just pay the $200". I still love this place anyway, just be willing to shell out some dough. read more

I'm new to Ramona and also very pregnant. I needed a pedicure bad since I can't reach my piggies. I looked at all the reviews cause I'm super cautious of nail salons regarding cleanliness. I walked in and was greeted right away and seated in my massage chair (just what this prego needed). Once I picked my color of shellac and told her what I wanted she never tried to offer me additional services for more money which I appreciate. She opened her little tool box and pulled the tools out of a sealed sterilized bag. I'm one happy camper! She used a buffing pad that was never used on anyone else and after she was done she threw it away so I know nobody had to use it after me. Yay for you and me!!!! She wasn't that great at massage but it was good enough and she had a timer for the 8min leg/foot massage so you don't feel cheated. The price chart said $33 for shellac pedicure and when I went to pay it was $33. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE! Usually they tack on $2 for this and $5 for that. I went in, got what I asked for and paid. I will definitely be back! Great pedi and excellent service!! read more

I have been coming to Venus Nails for years. I also bring my young daughter for manis and pedis. I bet I have had a hundred manicures and pedicures myself. The only time I have ever had to ask for a nail to be fixed was when I messed up the polish on accident when it was wet. They took care of it - no problem. All the ladies are very conscientious and the entire salon is clean and sanitary. Diane is the owner and she always makes sure everyone is happy when they leave. I am always being complimented on my acrylic nails and I refer all of my friends here. Lastly, I really enjoy the family atmosphere when I come in. The ladies are always asking about my friends, kids, and grandkids. read more

I love that it's a pretty clean place. The staff is super sweet and honestly my nails have turned out great when I went there sometimes but other times they turned out pretty bad so it's a hit or miss. read more

I decided to give this place a try despite all the bad reviews. I should have listened! I came in on a Thursday and got a gel manicure. On Sunday the polish had already started chipping off. So disappointed. I will continue going into Poway or RB. This place was a total let down. Don't waste your time or your money. read more

Got a pedicure here and the lady cut my cuticle too close on my big toe. I bled and she tried to mask the wound with nail polish. There was no apology and no discount. My toe was sensitive for about a week. I definitely will not return here. read more

Make this salon a destination! Here traveling for the holiday week when my daughter and I decided to get pedicures. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised. By all means the best pedicure we have ever received. All herbal in a scent or scents of your choice. Just spectacular. And very reasonably priced in a very comfortable & pretty atmosphere. Don't look any further ... get to Venus now! read more

Diane is amazing. Under her leadership, this is becoming a top-notch place. Diane does an amazing job on my nails. I have a different style than most and I really appreciate her support in helping me obtain a more "classic" look without complaints. What I really love about Diane is her passion for continuous improvement and how everyone who works there seems to be sincerely happy there. She has a good amount of staff and even walkins are taken care of fairly quickly, no matter what time of day, or whether it's the weekend or a weekday. They are flexible with scheduling and customer service oriented. I would say that if it's your first time coming here, be sure to bring cash for tips because although you can pay with a debit or credit card, all tips are in cash. Here's a picture of my nails by Diane, (this is a different look for me, since I normally have classic french tips)... Glad that I found this gem in Ramona. read more

I had a great European massage. I use to hate massages but they were very gentle. It was actually supposed to just be a fascia but when one of they're machines broke they upgraded me to a full body European massage for only $35. It was a great deal and very relaxing! read more

Stop coming to this place, filthy. Diane always in not so great mood, got tired of her not so great customer service. But when its time to vote for best nail salon they change their tone to gain a vote online. Not worth the money mediocre service. read more

I want to like this place because the ladies are all so nice, but it's not going to happen. I don't go in often and each time I do I remember why I'm not a regular. I've never gotten a clean manicure or pedicure. It's always SO messy and they get annoyed when I speak up so I always end up leaving annoyed. I'm done. read more

I love this place and I'm not even a girly girl. I bite my nails, and I'm pretty rough on them. To help me stop I get gel nails. The ladies at Venus do such a great job and there are tons of nail colors to choose from. The ladies there know how rough I am with my nails, and make sure my nails stay on to last. I'm way over due to go back, but I just can't make it back up that way. read more

Love this nail place!!! It is friendly, clean, and reasonably priced. Kim is excellent, she takes her time, does beautiful work, and is sweet as can be. Just moved up here to Ramona, and am so glad i found this nail salon and Kim. Kudos and Thank you Kim for a job always well done. read more

Diane runs a great shop but she also really cares. I brought my Mom in and she removed her nails and would not put on another set until her nail beds healed. She could have slapped some on and made the money but she wanted her nails in good shape first. I was very impressed with her care and consideration. We've found our nail shop in Ramona. Btw, she doesn't keep winning "Best of Ramona" for no reason. Keep up the good work Venus! read more

I'm sorry to have to report a VERY BAD experience at VENUS nails with LINDA the manicurist. I went there with my daughter for manicures and pedicures. The manicure I received started peeling off after two to three days. I called to ask the manager about it. She assured me that I could come in anytime and get a free manicure redo. I was happy with that so I went in a week or two later and Linda the manicurist gave me a new manicure. The reason I am so upset is that it has taken my nails months (3 months! )to recover as she filed down the nail bed and the nail so much that as my nails grew out they kept cracking and peeling like nothing I've ever experienced before. Linda seemed very energetically negative and disgusted with me while working on my nails. The ladies also talk, it seems, joking, laughing , teasing a lot while working on our nails. Both my daughter and I wondered if they were laughing at us, we felt uncomfortable. They also try to upsell you in every little thing so they can add it to the total. I will never go here again. Don't allow LINDA to work on your nails. read more

Call ahead and make an appointment with Ann! I'm really picky about my polish and she is a perfectionist. She is extremely gentle, even my 9 year old loves getting a mani and pedi from her. She's also very sweet and never pushes me to do more then what I ask for. read more

This place is terrible omg I can't tell you how upset I am came in for a simple fill and all my nails were bleeding and lifting less than 12 hours later she drilled too hard Linda was terrible my eye brow are not waxed straight my daughter had her nails painted and it fell off before we even got home seriously I want a full refund read more

This is one of the best nail salons in Ramona! The staff is very friendly and even if they are busy, they will do their best to try to accommodate you. My nails are always perfect and the shine lasts over three weeks. The salon itself is really pretty and clean. I would recommend this nail salon to anyone! read more

Great place excellent service! I just moved from LA and this place is clean and they took excellent care of my toes they cleaned and did a thorough job! There was no wait time and the equipment is sanitized and new/ modern. read more

I didn't catch her name but the lady that did my nails sucked. She was rude and disrespectful the entire time. She cut my skin and didn't care, then when i asked her to do a simple ombre she told me she didnt know how to do it and proceeded to do what she wanted. I had an awful time and definitely do not recommend this place for anyone. Save your money and your time. read more

My hubby got me a gift certificate here as a mother's day present. I had never been before but I am impressed. I intended just to get a standard pedicure but they suggested to try the deluxe pedicure. I will say they were a little pushy towards upgrading though. The deluxe pedicure comes with a callous scrub, hot paraffin wax, leg scrub, foot massage, and flowers on your toes. I liked that they use new pedicure packs for each customer instead of re-using the same tools. They also have a huge selection of polishes to choose from. It's been about a week since I got my pedicure and my toes still look fantastic, no chips or nicks yet. read more

I read the great reviews and decided to give Venus a try. Great! The workmanship was excellent. My manicurist was gentle and very talented artist. I was so pleased that I brought my granddaughter in the very next day. Ask for Diane. I have never seen a huge selection of colors like they have. read more

Diane the owner is awesome!! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating and they do an amazing job

Moved nearby Ramona three months ago. I tried a few of the salons in Ramona but Ive never returned to any of them except for Venus. Diane and her staff were so lovely, and their herbal treatment was cheap and great! read more

Hanna did an amazing job on my toes. Julie did my nails, she did a great job cleaning my cuticles until it to got to the shellac part. One of my nails are crooked. They were different lengths, so I fixed it by filing it myself to the same length. I will come back but I will not get shellac done here, I will only get a regular manicure and a regular pedicure. You pay way too much for them to mess up your shellac nails. read more

First time getting a pedicure from a local salon. Went with a friend so we had a chance to catch up. Service was good. Went for the whole massage package. Pricey. Pedicure awful. French pedicure done without a top coat. Went Friday afternoon and by Sunday 4 toes are chipped and 2 toenails ripped off, 2 are split. Never had my toes look so bad. I will be driving back to the "other" place even though it is farther away. read more

I had my first appointment today at Venus Nails with my daughter. Julie a did full set for me and I haven't been this happy about how my nails looked for quite some time. Julie was very nice and did a fantastic job that my granddaughter and I are going to get pedicures next week. My daughter was extremely happy with her nails too although I can't remember that girls name. Diane was very sweet and concerned about us understanding prices and that were happy with our nails and yes we are. Thank you very very much!!! read more

Love this place :) By far the best nail salon in Ramona, very clean and friendly. The only issue I have is one of their nail technicians is really slow and always messes up my nail polish because she's older and can't see very well.I just make sure I don't get her in the future. But, other than that always a good experience here. read more

Great service! The ladies are very nice and they are great at what they do. They give state of the arts service at low costs and make your nails look beautiful for weeks. I recommend this store to everyone who are looking for a nice and relaxing experience in preparation to a formal event, or just a Sunday where the ladies (or gentleman) want to pamper themselves. oh and did I mention there's free WIFI? Went in 5 weeks ago and got the new powder gel manicure. Diane worked late to make sure I got the design I wanted and made sure it was perfect. Flash foreword to today, 5 weeks later, and the manicure was still going strong! I had to file them done since my nails grow so fast but boy did this product hold up! They held up through all the dishes, cleaning products, and typing I could put them through! My horses also appreciated the strength it gave my nails for their nightly ear scratches. Not a single chip or crack! Had a new manicure done today! Diane and her team are the best in town! read more
