If I could give this place 0-10 stars I would. Absolutely will not return!!!! I came about a week ago with my mom who normally comes here becuase I don't live in Ramona and got acrylic nails put on. I had a really good experience with Kim and decided I would make the trip back when I needed them to be filled. Not even a week later my gel started to chip off (which has never happened to me and I've had acrylic nails for about 5 years..) so I returned to get it fixed and was greeted with "What's wrong with your nail" and I showed her and told me sit but never gave me a station to go to so I asked twice and she completely ignored me. Then looked pissed when I wasn't at the station. Drilled my nail destroying my cuticle and added the colour and stuck my nail in the light. Then took her phone out and started watching a cooking tutorial on YouTube... hello? Then proceeded to clean her own nails (which were full of dirt) and flicked the dirt from under her nail onto the station. EWWW. No eye contact or communication whatsoever. Me being a cosmetologist know the State Board protocols and she followed absolutely none of them. Hopefully I don't get some kind of disease or disorder from this experience. I would 10000% be contacting state board if I knew her name. All I have is her picture. **As I was walking out another customer was storming out becuase she had her feet soaking in water for 45 minutes and completely forgot about her...ouch. read more

Venus Nails - Not paying any attention to me at all. - Nail Salons Near Me - Ramona, California

I thought long before posting this bad review during covid, but it has to be done. I will NEVER go to this place again. From the start I felt like they were rushing me, when they weren't busy. I went in for a pedicure, they charged me $49, the deluxe package... they didn't even clip my toe nails, or shape the nails. No callus remover ... I basically paid $50 for them to paint my nails and massage my feet for 10 minutes. When they were done, she asked me if it was ok, and I looked at my feet and noticed that they only painted one of my toe nails Half way. When I asked them to fix it, they said that's the way my toe was. I said NO FIX IT, and she did, but was very rude about it. Very disappointed, and will never do business with them again. read more

The pedicures I've gotten here have been decent, however I will not be returning because of how PUSHY they are. They act like they are desperate for money even though every time I've been in here it's pretty busy. They make me feel uncomfortable because I only want to get the basic pedicure. They have such an attitude and will literally roll their eyes at you if you don't agree to spend more money and upgrade your pedicure. They will ask you MULTIPLE times and I finally got sick of telling them no. Never again. read more

I always leave happy and relaxed. Diane has done my nails for many years. They always look fantastic and I receive so many compliments. She keeps up with latest trends and techniques. Well... let me start at the beginning. I went to a mall and got my nails done. OMG! What was I thinking? I wish I could have taken a BEFORE picture because they looked TERRIBLE! I came to VENUS NAIL in Ramona on Main Street and TAMMY FIXED THEM! They look AMAZING!! Thank you Tammy!! read more

I went back to this salon after a long absence. Not sure why I left it in the first place. My mistake. My present nail salon just wasn't doing as good of a job as they did when I first visited. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly I was helped after going in as a walk-in this afternoon. My nail stylist listened carefully to what I wanted done; a basic gel manicure. She matched up the color I was wearing perfectly, and corrected the mistakes made by my last nail salon, shaping my nails as instructed. I will be back! My stylist's name is V. She is kind, very personable, and professional. read more

Today I had a Venus Pedicure and full set gel nails done. I was given exactly what I asked for and it looks better than I expected. I cannot thank Kim enough for the amazing job she did on my nails. I will be returning regularly. They also used sanitized equipment which they opened right in front of me. Their cleanliness is obvious, and appreciated. Great place. read more

I wouldn't know what their services are like; I feel like if your operating hours are as follows, I should be able to walk in for a fill 45 minutes before closing instead of being turned away. So disappointed. read more

I usually am afraid of going to other nail salons than my usual but because of all the wonderful reviews, I had to try Venus Nail Salon! Never Again!! I have gotten my nails done 5 times there and they always break. One of the ladies Diane or Diana something like that, she is so rude! I came in for her to fix it and she charged me $5, it isn't much but still it's her fault they look bad. No matter who does them they end up bubbling or with weird indents in them. I had to go somewhere to get them fixed when they put some of the acrylic powder on my skin and let it dry, it almost tore the skin off. read more

I don't have the budget for regular mani and pedi's but I do require a monthly brow wax. Dont want a uni brow like Bert on Sesame Street. I always get in with little or no wait time. The place is priced about the same as the other shops in town. It's clean. Nothing bad about the place and nothing exceptionally superior. It's convenient being next to Stater Brothers though it's a super busy parking lot. read more

Got a mani/pedi/wax today. The manicurist Lisa is awesome and I have to recommend as one of the best I have gone to. My pedicure was one of the worst I have ever had. I guess if you don't get the most expensive one on their menu you get sloppy work. I will have to get this redone.............at another salon. CHARGE ONE PRICE AND GIVE THE CUSTOMER A GOOD PEDICURE EVERYTIME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I was expecting a better service, I got a pedicure. The lady who did my pedi was ok.... when she was cutting my cuticles she was doing it half assed. I felt like she wasn't doing it correctly, when she was filing my nails once again half ass doing it, my nails don't even look even and the polish wasn't applied. I won't be coming back here unless I have nowhere else to go. I'd rather just go to my old nail place in LA, even if I have to wait 2-3weeks when I go to down there. Only thing I enjoyed was the little massage they give with the pedi, that's the only reason I'm giving 2stars read more

I love this salon! I am super picky and have been all over trying to find a quality nail salon and I would say this is it! Tami does my nails and she is super sweet, listens to what I want done, and offers her opinion. My daughter and I just loved the designs and we got a plethora of compliments. read more

NEVER AGAIN!!! Cold water for my pedicure. Pedicurist might as well been sleeping when massaging my feet, my dog could have done a better job. Asked for the basic nail/pedi package with gel on my nails, but was never told gel was extra until she was chasing me out the door asking for more money. Must have got a 1st-timer because my nails looked like crap at the end. Brush strokes all over. I don't understand why it took an hour to do my nails when I only had one simple color put on. She painted two nails at a time, then put my hand in the "uv light"... why not paint all five nails then put in the light???? Now, a week and a half later, I can't get the gel off my nails!!! I am using gelish artificial nail remover (which is designed for gel polish) and after twenty minutes under a soaked cotton ball + tinfoil wrap - they are still stuck. Ugh. Not worth it!!!! read more

Last month I tried this place since it's always busy. They push hard to upsell which I hate. Show me the pricing and suggest a service but when I tell you which one don't push the higher one. I had one gal do the pedicure and one fo my nails nails. It was a real nice job. BUT when I paid and gave the pedicure gal a tip for both of them 20% each she said this is mine where is the other girls tip. First I'd never been ask for a tip! Second isn't 20% a good tip? She insisted I pay the other girl more. That is just not right. I asked for manager but she was busy and didn't come over. Too bad I liked their service but will never return. read more

I have been going to Venus Nails in Ramona for many years. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and help you quickly. Diane has done my acrylic nails forever. She is fast and efficient and does a wonderful job. I am very picky about my nails and she consistently does a great job. If I want something different, special or a certain way, she expertly takes care if it. I can't come in every two weeks as I should as I live 45 minutes away and get busy. I frequently let my nails grow to 3 1/3 & 4 weeks. In spite of how hard I am on my nails, they hold up well snd look decent until the next time I can get in. Quality work and products make the difference. I recently tried gel on my pedicure and was pleasantly surprised. Lasted 6 weeks! Great color choices no matter what you choose to get done. I highly recommend Venus Nails. read more

Venus nails is by far the best nail salon in North County. They use high-quality materials at an affordable cost. I had a set of acrylics that stayed on for three months without cracking chipping or falling off. When I did finally make it back in for a fill, Diane gave me a flawless set of natural pink nude nails. This is by far the best nail job I've ever had. I highly recommend her and Venus Nails to anyone and everyone who wants quality!!! read more

They did it again, exceeded my expectations!! I have been coming to Venus Nail Salon for over two years now, I finally got around to creating a Yelp account to rate them. I never make an appt, I always walk in and they get to me within a few minutes. They use bowl liners and new mani/pedi tools with every customer. So I'm very pleased with the cleanliness of the salon. Also, I come up with elaborate nail designs and they normally can meet my needs. I show them a pic of a nail design, and they try their best to make it how I want it. read more

This is my least favorite nail salon in Ramona. They rushed through my pedicure even though I picked on of the more expensive ones (still we're trying to up sell on everything) left me with polish on my skin, and a chip in my polish. The technician was just worried about moving on to the next person before finishing with me. I will not be back and wouldn't recommend anyone coming here in the future. read more

I really have no complaints! Had the herbal pedicure and I loved it! If I could change one thing it would be that my manicure was after my pedi not during that way I could enjoy it! UPDATE I went in again for a herbal pedicure today and it being 45 dollars It's not something I do everyday. You pay for the extra length of massage...And the aroma therapy. My massage was her rubbing my legs for 20 mins. My nail tech never even touched my feet. I was starting to get just irritated and even said to her can you rub my feet? And she said " feels good right" I said yes when you rub my feet it does. It's crazy that I spent 45 dollars for someone putting lotion on my legs... I'm kinda upset. read more

I have lived in Ramona for 13+ years and Venus is by far the best salon I have gone to. My regular girl Katie is an older lady who pampers the daylights out of me! She knows when I am in pain and gets me pillows without asking, massages the scar tissue on my ankle ( 2 tendon surgeries) with a special balm to loosen the movement of the scar tissue, gets me water, tea etc and knows exactly how I like everything! They use disposable pedi-pacs for each client, and I see them sanitize the foot baths immediately after each client. They also offer waxing and massage. They are a full-service salon and the Spa Package Pedi I get runs around $45. That includes all the basics, callous treatment, your choice of sea salt scrub, hot parafin or mint masque for feet and legs ( you pick 2) and French Pedi. They take great pains to put your shoes on very carefully afterwards so your new toes are kept perfect. The salon chairs are comfortable, have massage options and adjust in many positions. The selection of colors is very generous. They also offer soak-off gel for fingers and toes. I took my 4 year old granddaughter in for her first pedicure and they made a huge fuss over her, taking pictures and making her feel like a princess. Like most other salons they converse in their native Vietnamese. Some of the ladies speak English better than others. Somehow, I have never felt like they were talking behind my back like so many of us have felt before at nail salons. If you have an IPhone or similar phone you can download a free translator and translate your comments to their language, then let them read the translation. This is REALLY helpful and makes communication so much clearer and easier. I have had friends who have complained that they were unhappy with salon services before. When I asked them if they let the manicurist know there was an issue, they usually say something to the effect of: "No, but I won't go there again!" If you don't insist on the best service for your money you may not get it. Speak up!! I had Katie re-do both big toes last time because I did not like the design she put on. Again, download a free translator and speak your mind! The above reasons are why I will continue to go to Venus Salon. NOTE: THEY ACCEPT MAJOR CREDIT CARDS BUT YOU MUST PAY ANY TIPS IN CASH! Peace, Avie read more

Worst Nails Place ever, it's very expensive and the customers service is terrible, don't go there, Diane it's rude and never take care of the appointments on time . read more

The reason I rate this place a 3 is not for service because that is fantastic but for quality. Not only was I cut on my nail (not really a huge huge deal) but at least address it in some sense when you can clearly see the blood. Also if my nails are painted you should really remove ALL the nail polish even the blobs in the corners of my nail beds. Especially if it's black. I'm very picky about my nails and that upset me. However the overall job of the nails, are pretty much the best I've ever had. I will keep coming back and having my nails done here. Next time I just won't come with polish. Lol read more

It was an extremely long wait! I was there for an hour and a half, they should've told me how long it was going to be or not taken me. I waited with my feet in the water for about a half hour, the water got cold! I asked for a mani/pedi and in the end only got a pedi because it took so long. They didn't even ask if I still wanted the manicure because it was past closing time. I got a deluxe pedicure with gel and it was $49! The gel and color is good but the wait was horrible. Edit: Started going to Diane, and she is amazing!! She makes them perfect every time and is really friendly.

I have been here about 5 times now and have never felt comfortable. I use the coupon they have in the paper each time for a pedicure. I prefer the simple pedi nothing extra. As soon as they find out all you want is the basic pedi they don't want to be bothered with you and give you no attention. When she finished with me today and I pulled out my $ and coupon my lady and the other employee next to her looked at each other and laughed and of course talked about me in their language. I don't need to know what you are saying it's obvious!! So NONE professional. Why put the coupons in the paper if you don't want your customers to use them! My visit today will be my LAST!!! read more
