On January 2,2024 I came here with a friend who goes there from time to time. I wasn't paying attention to the young lady who did my pedicure, bc I was talking to my friend. I don't know her name but I plan on going in and telling her she hurt me . I said ouch when she hurt me. Well I ended up in urgent care 10 days later, with an infection called cellulitis. I had a shot in my behind and I'm on 7 days of antibiotics. I'm still soaking my toe in warm salt water to aid this infection. I've had many pedicures in the past. My regular was closed the day after new years. It's gonna be months before I will get another one, anywhere. I will spare you the photos. I only added 1 star bc it made me. read more

I'm not sure why people are raving about how good Donna is. She's the owner and thought she would be better than anyone else. Showed her a pic on Pinterest of how I wanted my nails. Also explained in words I wanted ombré and coffin shape. Well...She did square shape and ombré was terrible. Two nails came off in four days after a full set. Just by me putting my hair up in a ponytail. I called to let her know I needed a fix and she said she would fix it. Then when I got there, she ponded me off on her employee that NEVER has done ombré before. Poor girl Jessica tried and did a good job except for cutting me. And she actually made one nail coffin shape but the rest of my nails were squared. ‍ Anyway. I am in the middle of taking them off as I lost another two nails. I didn't even get the chance to pick out which pedicure I wanted, they gave me the most expensive one without asking. One star because "eek! methinks not." is most accurate to how I felt after my experience. I took my two very young daughters here while waiting for car maintenance across the parking lot. Two different employees told me two different prices for painting my daughters' toes. One said 15 each, and the woman said 5. The woman did my one daughter's toes and she was very sweet to her and talked to her. She painted her toes and nails and did some flowers. However, I could see that the polish going on her toes was so hold it wasn't even coming off the brush, but she continued to use it. Mentally noted. The man doing my pedi was clipping my toe nails and cleaning out under the nail and wiping the grossness and clipped parts on the top of my big toe!!! I WAS DISGUSTED! I know it was my toe nail and dirt or whatever but seriously!? What is the point of that and it is freaking disgusting! Why not wipe it on the towel that my feet are resting on????? I have no clue but after that I knew I was never coming back. The polish I picked out for my toes was also very old and he laughed when he explained that he had to do a third coat. If it were my business, I'd say, "hey this polish is old, can you choose another color from our many options of colors?!?" great, no problem. but no, they didn't say that. I told her there was a hair and she continued to paint over it, I said again excuse me there's a hair on my nail and she said it's okay. My nails are uneven and sensitive, i had a horrible experience with Tina. She still got a $5 tip but i will not be returning. read more

She clearly had no idea what she was doing as she had to ask another nail lady for help about 5 times until she just decided to do it herself. My mom got a mani pedi and they ran out of polish so they suggested a color they claimed to be similar to the one she chose. The color was hideous and was no where's near the one she chose. They also stopped in the middle of her mani pedi to work on someone else. Even with that wait, her mani pedi took the same time as my fill! Second time getting acrylics (first time here however) and I'm really pleased with how well they did (first place made my nails too thin and they broke). There is a little bit of a language barrier here, just to forewarn you (not place to go for your first time and you have no idea what you're getting). Holly did my nails and she did an awesome job. This nail salon is one of many in town, nothing really unique about it. It's usually never busy when I walk in, Quality is inconsistent but their prices are pretty reasonable. I went in today wanting to get gel over my natural nail instead of getting acrylic because it makes my nails weak, but after trying to communicate that 3 times and it still not getting across I walked out with a full set of acrylic nails with gel polish on top. Aside from not being able to clarify what I wanted, the overall experience was decent. My nails looks fine despite being a different style than I wanted. It took a little over an hour to finish. May or may not be back, mainly come because it's just right in town. read more

I came here with my sister and little cousin, she told me she was charging for length (my nails were short) and coffin shape and matte finish. THEN she ended up saying she wasn't charging that and that it will be 45 DOLLARS. I ended up paying 40 such a horrible job, it was all bumpy, my girl's nails were bumpy and had air bubbles. They were crooked and when I asked for something to be done they would get mad and basically throw a fit. HORRIBLE customer service, literally cut me. ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS how unsanitary it is. As I was sitting on the couch I saw a LIVE COCKROACH CRAWLING BY. So disgusting I will never be coming back here again for overpriced unsanitary horrible looking nails. If you're gonna do nails, do it right. And after dozens of complaints to the lady, I finally got them to look somewhat nicER. I didn't even get the color i wanted. Also while I was getting my nails done ANOTHER LADY CAME IN and told her she had gotten her nails done there the other day and that she wants her to do a better job. And when I paid the lady with my 100 she acted like I was giving her fake money. I dont know if it's cuz my age or cuz im brown but i felt so discriminated against. Horrible service never coming here again and I advise never coming here if youre in ramona, try going to venus they do much better job. AND LISTEN AND HAVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. This lady who did my nails along with my 8 year old little sister was amazing. My nails came out just fine along as my little sister. However this lady came after me she got hers fully done while I sat and waited for mine to be done. But she wasn't happy however the nail tech was more than happy to redo everything for her. But she refused. I love how they offered to redo it to make her happy, but it's a shame she was rude and didn't communicate with the nail tech. read more

I went in full of joy and hope for a lovely pedicure and gel manicure and came out distressed and unhappy. The man who did my pedicure cut my nails very oddly and much too short--painfully short. The lady who did my did them the worst I have ever had and that is saying something considering my five year old niece painted my nails once. I have been to this place 3 times. The first 2 times were OK, nothing special, but nothing to complain about. The last time I went was literally the LAST time I will EVER go there! My mom, 2 sisters and I went for a girl's day mani/pedi. 2 of us got gel manicures and one of us got gel pedicure. That means my mom spent close to 150, if not more. She saw a coupon in the paper on the table while we were waiting for the last person to dry before we paid, and they refused to take it. It was something like 15% off or something like that, and they would not take it. I mean, we just spent a lot of money, don't you think they would honor the coupon and keep a loyal customer? Heck no they didn't. I have never experienced a cheap attitude from any salon, even the kind where you can't understand them as it is! Horrible service. I will NEVER go back. I really like this nail salon. I decided to try it out a few months ago because the location is perfect for me - right on Main Street in Ramona near all the major shops, inside the Kmart mall. My gel manicures and pedicures always look nice and last a long time. I like fancy designs or little gems and they will copy any picture I give them or make suggestions for something cute. Prices are reasonable but not cheap. The shop is always busy with repeat customers so you know they do a great job and the ladies are all very sweet. read more

And they introduced me to a new technique that makes my gel nails last 2-3 weeks without any chips or broken nails... I think it's called shellac nails. Okay, I expected more for less. I wasn't shown the prices, and I asked for gel nails and a pedi and manicure. $80 before tips! I got a guy doing the pedi massage when there was a room full of women. I had even said I didn't want the massage - I was in a hurry. It was all very confusing. Anyhow, seemed a bit much with a tip I left as well, might as well go to a spa down the hill with the comfortable chair and relaxing music instead of the news on the tv. I spoke to someone else and they couldn't believe what I was charged, because they go there, too and had referred me. I left a complaint with consumer affairs and FTC so they could send someone in and see what they're charged, or even be shown a price sheet for everything they're paying for before they do it. Make sure you know how much you're paying for what, or just go somewhere else. Don't go first thing in the morning, apparently they are late. Nearly left before they got there, and not a drop of sorry for being late. My nails and toes looked great and they lasted a long time! Went for a pedicure 1) sat in broken down chair... no spa experience at all! Chair remote broken, hose in tub for air bubbles kept coming off, plastic tub liner came off, lower back of chair had no padding. Guess it's a sign its a bad chair when there is a throw pillow. 2) the guy Tom dug into the side of my big toe claiming hang nail (not true) even thought I said to stop 3 times literally! 3) He picked a nail color I liked but he kept adding nail thinner to it b/c it was goopy. I haven't been here in a long time b/c I am tired of paying good money for horrible, inconsistant work AND there is never any airflow or ventilation to keep customers comfortable. Worst experience. My eyes were swollen for days after I got my eyelashes done. The esthetician (whose name I do not remember) needs to get her license revoked. 1. I asked for super light eyelashes. I got heavy eyelashes. 2. When she pulled an eyelash out that she messed up, she did not use the serum to remove them. 3. When I went back to get it fixed, she was dismissive and only removed a few of the eyelashes (again, not using the serum). 4. The reason I am writing this review - my eyes were swollen. She put the glue on my eye lid, not on my eyelash. Any trained esthetician knows that the glue used contains formaldehyde, which is why they are warned to never put the glue on someone's skin. I went in and asked to have a full set put in, make it narrow at the sides and flat to look natural. The lady who took care of me sounded like she was the owner cuz she was instructing others what to do. She kept on talking to her friends and not paying attention to her work. I kept reminding her that i wanted it narrow on the sides but to no avail. Three of my nails were cut crooked, the nail polish was not covering all the way. She was focused on one side of the nail neglecting to check the other side. I got frustrated after awhile and let her have it. I always thought that nail salons supposed to show off their artistry and what i got was production work. Very unhappy so my husband suggested to have it fixed right away so I drove across to Venus Nails and explained what i want with my nails.
