Sophia Nails and Spa is truly the best nail salon I have ever been to. The space itself is warm, welcoming, and beautifully cozy, creating such a relaxing experience from the moment you walk in. Every member of the staff is kind and attentive, which makes each visit feel special. I always see Emily for my manicures, and she has never once disappointed me. She has been doing my nails for over a year now, including my engagement and wedding nails, and her work is nothing short of exceptional. Emily is incredibly talented, detail-oriented, and truly passionate about what she does. What I appreciate most is how much she genuinely cares about her clients. She always wants you to leave completely happy, and even when I'm unsure of what I want, she comes up with beautiful ideas that I end up loving every time. I've been going here for at-least 3 years now and never have I ever been so offended by a nail technician. I typically see the same person but I was going on a trip and I needed to get my nails done at a certain time and she wasn't available at that time. I was given a couple of other names of technicians to try out .. so I called and had made an appnt with Amy. As soon as I walked in she was saying I didn't have an appnt with her.. she was extremely rude. Then she tells me her and that other person don't see other coworkers clients..... um ok ..Which was obviously bullshit then she comes out to say that people there are scared to do my nails because I am "so picky" first off only two people in that salon have really ever done my nails.. second off we pay a lot of money to get our nails so yes they need to be painted right and they need to be shaped right but I don't Evan consider myself as picky as others I've encountered. The fact that she said it loud at a busy time.. was completely unprofessional. Last time I checked I pay for the services. Also if I told my patients I can't see you because you are too picky? Omg what kind of business would I be running? Another girl heard what was going on and offered to do my nails and she did an amazing job and I am so thankful. I am extremely disappointed in that interaction. So what can improve? Don't talk to a client in that tone or manner. Also don't bullshit me just say you don't want to do my nails ... and that is fine I wouldn't want a person like you doing my nails anyways. read more

I have to say this was the worst nail salon experience I've had in years. The technician did not properly file or shape my nails, and several of my fingers were cut during the process, which was both painful and concerning. When removing my old gel, she relied heavily on an e-file and went far too close to my natural nails, despite me specifically asking her not to. That request was ignored. Additionally, my cuticles were never properly addressed before the gel application. When I pointed this out, I was told that the product she was using works "backwards" and that cuticles could be handled after applying hard gel, which does not align with standard nail prep and felt dismissive. The service overall felt rushed and incomplete--no finishing care like a massage was provided. Between the poor technique, lack of communication, and disregard for my requests, I will not be returning and would not recommend this salon. read more

I don't know if the ownership has changed, but this was a truly terrible experience. I got French nails done, but they were poorly executed -- uneven and messy. When I politely asked for a fix, the receptionist raised her voice and got angry with me in front of other customers. It was extremely unprofessional and embarrassing. To make it worse, they even asked for a tip, and I ended up giving 15%. Honestly, they didn't deserve it. The quality of the service was way below standard. The nail salon itself is so cute and inviting, I love the vibrant decor and just overall a cozy place, it is also very clean and staff are very friendly. I usually just get a pedicure and sometimes a full set. But Tina is amazing! There's just something about how she does the pedicure, it lasts forever and looks so nice and I can say that, after I've been going to her for a few years now. I usually do the regular or deluxe pedi and it is so relaxing with the massage. Highly recommend her! There is a difference. When I went last week I got a pedicure and gel-x full set work chrome and french tips and it turned out so beautiful! The picture does not do justice. Kudos to my nail gal Emily, she is truly an artist. I have been with her for a decade now and have always been taken care of by her. She is one of the kindest people and she always makes time for me. I had an extremely unprofessional and upsetting experience at this salon. I specifically booked an appointment with a particular nail technician. When I arrived, I was assigned someone else without explanation. When I calmly expressed concern about not receiving the technician I booked, the woman who was originally assigned became upset and refused to do my nails altogether. They then reassigned me to another technician who clearly did not have the skill or experience to perform the service I requested, and the quality of the work was very poor. The behavior of the staff was completely unacceptable. Multiple technicians spoke to me in a hostile and aggressive manner throughout the appointment. When I attempted to raise concerns, I was gaslit and told that I was being loud and angry, when the raised voices and aggression were coming from the staff. At one point, the situation became so uncomfortable that other customers had to step in and tell the staff to leave me alone. That alone speaks volumes about the lack of professionalism and management at this salon. There was no effort to de-escalate the situation or provide basic customer service. Appointments should be honored, and customers should never be treated this way. I will not be returning and do not recommend this business read more

I recently started going to this nail salon; the service started off great but with each visit, my experiences became worse. My last visit, my pedicure turned out terrible! I not only had nail polish all over my toes but the application was crooked and spotty. My manicure was equally horrible! I like my nails to be short and curved - they were ALL uneven. The young lady that did my service was rude and really rough! If you do not like working in customer service, you shouldn't work there! Today, I asked for the $40 Signature Pedicure. I went to pay, and was charged $55. I told Annie I was told it was $40. Annie said I got gel. I said I didn't ask for gel. Annie said to the service provider that she needs to ask the customer first, before adding on any extras. I paid the $55. Paid 15% tip, which was more than the 15% on $40. Instead of paying $46 with tip, I paid over $63 with tip. It's the end ofnthe month, and I don't have extra money. This was a set up. There was no apology. I feel hijacked. Scammed. If I was asked for gel, I would have said no. Now, regarding the actual pedicure, invasion fantastic. I give it 5 stars. Because of the add-on scam, I give customer service and ethics a 1 star. Because my experience involved finance scam, I am giving a 1 star. It's unfortunate. If you go, be sure to tell them what you want and CLEARLY say, "no add ons." This was my first time here. Came here last week for the first time. The place is very spacious and clean. No one greeted me when I first walked in until maybe after a min or 2. The owner came out and she was friendly and I was seated after a few minutes. I was seated just in time for my appt. They offered me a beverage which I appreciated and thought it was a great little personable touch that not all salons offer. They were kind and made some suggestions on color. The length of time was about expected and my manicurist was very friendly. The chairs were also comfortable. I will say, the manicure wasn't exactly how I like it although they did listen to what I personably like. I'll admit I am rather nit-picky when it comes to manicures and I need to have them done a certain way for work. My cuticles could have been cleaner/neater and the painting job wasn't exactly even. The thumbs were not painted to the cuticle line which is a bit disappointing because they grow quickly and I'd like for them to last at least a full 2 weeks. They were however, cut and filed nicely. I will give them another shot and try another manicurist that the owner had recommended. Will update after! read more
