As an elderly person I think it's a shame when the owner of an establishment parks in the front row in a shopping center. It's lazy, rude and shows zero respect for other people. Those spots should be for customers! The owner of this nail salon parks in the front row EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Elderly folks will go elsewhere if it's not convenient for them to park. read more

I have been going to Nails by Monalisa for over 20 years. Lisa is so kind and professional. She goes out of her way for her customers. Lisa has worked hard to build her business and keep her business during 2020. Lisa customers know her, respect her and are loyal to her. I had to stop going for awhile and I missed her. I missed her smile, her laugh and I missed her kindness. People that have Lisa in their life are blessed. Thank you Lisa for many years of wonderful service and friendship! read more

Lisa of Mona Lisa Nails does an amazing job. She is sweet, kind and always greets me with a smile. Her salon is immaculate and unlike other salons, she sterilizes all her manicure tools and throughly cleans and disinfects her foot bath basins and chairs. She goes by appointment to give each customer her one on one, undivided attention. Alway a satisfying experience. I highly recommend Nails by Monalisa. You wont be disappointed! read more

The first time I stopped in here which was about 3 months ago. I felt very welcomed. The owner Lisa is very polite and attentive to your needs. Kim did my gel manicure and Tweety did my Pedicure. I was extremely happy with both services. What I loved more than anything is that Kim cares about the integrity of my nails. She does not file on top of the nail or use a drill to remove stubborn gel. She takes her time with your service you don't feel like a number. She chats with you instead of her colleagues. This is the type of nail salon where I want to bring my business I am a customer for life!! read more

OMGosh, I am so impressed, and I'm a man in his sixties! Best service ever, in all respects! I got a luxury spa pedicure, and now I feel like a king - worth every cent! So happy that this business has survived COVID (and several closures as a result). The owner is surviving, even though business has dropped over the past two years and she's now running the place by herself... read more

I went to Lisa's for about 3 years for my nails, and I loved her & the women that worked there. They were always nice and really cheerful. I started going to a different nail salon but my mom kept going for their awesome pedicures, which, at a time, you could receive for 15 dollars. Recently, we went in to get our toes done, only to find they only offer spa pedicures for a whopping 30 dollars. Definitely won't be returning anytime soon. read more

Almost 10 years ago, I was a regular customer of Nails by Monalisa. The only reason I stopped going is because I moved out of the area. I e recently returned and visited them today for a mani/pedi for my daughter and a full set and pedi for myself. As soon as I walked in, the owner, Lisa recognized me! I was floored. So was my daughter. The quality of the salon has not deminished in any way. They take cleanliness and sanitation as seriously as they always have. The quality of their work is also still excellent. I'm happy to once again be able to patronize their business regularly. read more

Nope! I thought I had found my nail place cause the owner is so sweet. I went in with my daughter for full sets and pedicures. But I quickly realized that she doesn't know how to do pink and white gel very nice. She left all my edges ragged and some nails are lumpy. She told my daughter to get gel which she did. But the other lady that did my daughters nails made every single nail shape and size a different. Won't be going back. She was also very rough. I'm not asking for special treatment but she was rough... read more

Worst customer service ! Went back as the atmosphere is quiet and serene. Got a french manicure, shellac. After one week the nails are breaking all along the white strip. Even though my nails don't break, have never broken like this, Lisa claims it's not their fault...nothing they can do ! Seriously ??? Possibly don't skimp and go cheap on product ? That would be my suggestion. She said I should get nail tips. At my expense. Now, my nicely shaped, medium length nail have to be cut all the way down. I'm just sick ! read more

I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I paid $36 for a Royal spa pedicure and it was worth every penny. My feet have not seen a spa chair since November so I was in great need. My feet feel amazing and my skin on my legs feel amazing. I have been to quiet a few nails places for Spa Pedi and I believe this place is a real hidden gem. Very nice and friendly! Make sure you bring CASH for a tip. I am definitely coming back for future Spa Pedi and I believe there basic one is $21. read more

This is my go to place. Granted I can walk it so it saves me gas. The prices are very reasonable. They always get my nails they way I want them, and I'm very picky about them. Once a month I get a pedicure. And the ladies remember I'm ticklish and need my calluses so they don't try to up sell me on anything. It's clean and there is relaxing classical music. It's warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They've don't my eyebrows a few times and I was pleased, but I have redhead invisible eyebrows so I generally forget they need attention and this isn't a regular treatment for me. read more

Honestly I've never had this horrible experience, the owner Lisa was very rude and overcharged me just because I did not get gel manicure like she wanted me to get. It was her way to punish me for not want to spend almost $50 on acrylic nails. Please do not go by her, there's plenty nails stores around with much better attitude. read more

Nails by Monalisa - My nails after a week, cost me $27 - Nail Salons Near Me - El Cajon, California

THE BEST NAIL SALON EVER!!!! I have been coming here for nearly 15 years, and Lisa is heaven sent! The salon is very clean and organized. The owner, Lisa, is very nice, attentive, and detail-oriented. She is all about quality over quantity. Several of her customers have known her for a long time and has excellent working relationships with all of them. If you want a clean, quality oriented, and friendly environment to get your nails done, this place is it! I HIGHLY recommend. read more

I usually come here with my sister to get mani pedis, and we BOTH love it here. We found our forever nail home & we love it. Not only are all the ladies who work here nice and lovely, but no matter who you Are, they'll go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. One thing I will not forget is Lisa remembered it was my birthday the week I came in and wished me a happy birthday. If you're looking for a forever nail place, THIS IS THE ONE!!! read more

This was my first time trying out this salon and I really liked it! I went with my best friend and her mom, there was a little confusion when sitting us down for our pedicures, but once everything got started it was a good experience! It was not overly busy and loud like a lot of nail salons, so I liked that a lot. They were nice and friendly, good customer service & my nails turned out really cute. Would recommend read more

Best place you can go in ALL of San Diego County for a pedicure and manicure. They take their time and you always get the same quality service. This is a clean and very well run establishment. I even commute 30 minutes to get my pedi and mani. I highly recommend Nails by Monalisa! read more

After a bad experience with acrylics, this salon was recommended to me by my hair stylist. I'm glad I took her word. I got the shellac since my nails are still repairing themselves... Lisa was so sweet and adorable. Only $25?? Can't beat that. No wait for walk ins either. Ill be back in a few weeks def. Thanks Lisa read more

Been going here for years. They do an excellent job in a relaxed and friendly environment. They did a wonderful pedicure for my husband who had cracked callouses and ingrown toenails! I've also had them do eyebrow waxing and love the results. For the pedicure, they have a menu of services with the least expensive spa pedicure being $21. The place is very clean. read more

Rude rude rude. I wanted to purchase a Mothers day gift certificate.I was looking over the services and prices. I was there for approximately 2 minutes, one girl told the other something in Vietnamese. Then I was told " hurry up we have to leave" I graciously excused myself and left without buying anything. The first impression is always the last. With that being said, I will not go back again not recommend anyone to go there for any reason. read more

Rude rude and worst quality. The worst attitude and worst customer service. I went on Wednesday before easter and got shellac, I am not even joking, the day after Easter so 5 days later, one of my nails started peeling, next day another one broke and day after another one started peeling too , seriously I paid $27 to get that.. don't ever go there read more

Dropped off my daughter and niece for manicures, I told the woman acrylic for my niece and regular mani Or pedi for my daughter & left my debit card with them. The acrylics are advertised for $23, and regular mani $12....total should have been around $35 but the woman put shellac on my niece (even though I told her acrylic). My daughters finger nails look like a 5 year did them, they are smudged and she has polish all over her finger tips. They took advantage of the kids being dropped off with a debit card and charged $52. The woman claims she used shellac because my niece showed her a picture of the fake nails with a white glitter tip....really? What a joke. Not honest people. read more

We will NEVER go to this salon again. Daughter was charged $65 for a fill and pedicure!!! She doesn't honor the prices her signs and her website say for these services. She over charged and she knew it! Taking advantage of a teen. She should be reported to the state for charging more to customers then her signs/website says....it's against the law!!! read more
