I would give Venus a million stars if I could. I haven't had a consistent "nail lady" for quite some time. I was in desperate need of a nail refresh and wanted somewhere close to home, and I am so glad I found this gem of a salon. From the moment I walked in, she was warm, welcoming, and immediately made me feel comfortable. Life and work had gotten so busy that I had gone more than six weeks without doing my nails, and she truly brought them back to life. I even had the "rings of fire" from over drilling from a different salon and she didn't make me feel judged or bad about it, but simply educated on me on why it can happen and reassured me it will grow out. Her attention to detail is incredible. The shape alone deserves its own paragraph. I am very particular about nail shape, and she absolutely nailed it.... Guess it's right in the name . Clean, balanced, and somehow both soft and sharp at the same time. Don't even get me started on the C curve of my dreams... I am so happy! And for the first time ever, I showed a reference photo and my nails actually looked like the picture. Not inspired by. Not close enough. Exactly the picture. The color match was perfect. She checked in with me throughout the appointment to make sure everything felt right, which made it easy to speak up without that usual little flicker of anxiety. I left with the healthiest, most beautiful nails and a huge smile on my face. I am usually not big on small talk, but the accidental yap session we ended up having was honestly incredible and cathartic. She has a really natural ability to read people. If you are more quiet or just want to relax, she feels like the kind of person who would immediately pick up on that and adjust to whatever makes you comfortable without making it feel forced. I regularly get my nails done but I'm super picky about who's allowed to touch my perfect hands, fingers, and nail beds. Also whoever does my nails MUST HAVE the Kokoist Confetti Cake base it's my color and I can't live without it. I'm known by nail artists everywhere as Confetti Cake Girl. ...enter Venus! I was so happy to hear that she opened up her new space. Finding Venus was such a blessing because she does it all. She's an artist in every sense and is incredibly detailed and meticulous. I appreciate how she really cares what I want, is mindful of my nail health and goals, and takes the time to make sure that my nails are flawless before I leave. She also has a great eye for colors and recommendations when I'm on the fence about what kind of design I want. I love getting my nails done but I don't keep up with the trends and she's always up to date about what's new in the nail world. Also my thing when it comes to my nails is growing them long, naturally, and the lasting power of her manis is impeccable. My claws are strong and long (just how I like it) to the point where people always think my nails have extensions. Additionally the vibes are amazing. I am a yapper and I'm always chatting up a storm during my appointments. Venus is so funny and sweet and has the best stories. However she also can read the room when I need a chiller vibe. I just feel so comfortable, taken care of, and confident that I will leave with the prettiest nails. I literally get compliments on them everywhere I go so be prepared for that. Right now it looks like Venus mainly offers structured/builder gel, but I think it would be great if her services expanded in the future to display the range and versatility that I see in her IG posts. I would love to try different types of nails from Venus at some point later. Anyway I highly recommend booking with Venus. I've been coming to Venus a little over a year and Russian manicures completely changed my nails in the best way possible! My nails have never been this strong, long or healthy. My first Russian nail service was with Venus and I've never looked back or gone to anyone else because her service is always top tier, from the vibes to her attention to detail. If you're done with having damaged, painful, "hard to look at" natural nails, it's time to make the switch to VENUS. She is not only a great artist (you can check her work on her ig @venusnailedit), extremely skilled & fast worker, AND she is so easy to talk to during appointments! It felt like I knew her for over 10 years ;) I was a hardcore acrylic girly, I couldn't let it go but this year I took a chance and I haven't looked back. I'll attach some photos but wow, never knew what builder gel + Venus's touch could do for me. If you're looking for a sign to try builder gel, THIS IS YOUR SIGN. I promise you it's worth a try. I recently booked an appointment with Venus for a Russian Manicure and my experience was beyond incredible. Being a regular guy, I have never thought twice about my nail health. Recently, I found that my nails were being too sharply cut by me whenever I would clip them. This resulted in chipped nails and typically a painful few days. I recently have heard of the Russian Manicure "craze" going around and figured why not step out of my comfort zone and get my nails done right? One day I decided to get my nails serviced by Venus to see how a professional does it and the only thing I regret is not coming sooner. You can tell she is passionate and extremely skilled with her work. She has the precision of a surgeon all while remaining cool as a cucumber. The service took ~45 min and my nails have never felt better. It's a shame when I have to do something that involves getting my hands dirty because now my perfect nails and nail beds will become compromised! She will be seeing me again! read more
