I just have to share the most amazing experience I had at this new nail salon I found! It was my first time getting builder gel, and I cannot believe how incredible the whole experience was. My nail techs Hailey, Hannah, and Mia were absolutely phenomenal! This was my second visit here, with high expectations given my first visit was amazing with nail tech Peter. This time Nicole did my nails. She followed the reference picture and I do really like my nails - BUT just want to point out that she did cause me a bit of bleeding and cuticle damage with the way she was drilling. She addressed this by telling me I have very dry skin and that she had to be careful, although it seemed she was rushing a bit. Super friendly staff and the owner knows how to run this spot! This was probably my 3rd visit here and I even brought my mom for a quick pedicure during a weekday lunch. She was in/out in less than an hour. We got the deluxe pedicure, which came out to around $48. Lots of gel colors to choose from. The staff was super nice to my mom and I got to talk to the owner a little bit to schedule my next appointment. I love how the owner takes care of her customers by doing something a little extra (e.g. raffle giveaways, hand out roses to moms during mother's day, etc). The space is clean and modern. I got a couple nail sets done here and the owner was able to match my inspo pic very closely! I was quite impressed - so much closer than what other spots do. I will totally be a regular here and come back. I always see happy customers leaving this spot. They also provide complimentary drinks (quality tea here! Real tea leaves). I booked with Peter at JAS Nail Salon after seeing great reviews about him on Yelp. During my first appointment, I was visibly pregnant and talking about my pregnancy. Peter gave me several options for my manicure. I explained that my natural nails are very oily and that gel polish never lasts on me, and he recommended acrylics instead. The manicure turned out beautifully, and I left very happy with both my nails and the overall experience. Unfortunately, my experiences after that were very different. A few weeks later, just before Easter, I returned for a pre-scheduled appointment with inspiration photos of pastel nails, each finger a different color. When I arrived, I asked the front desk staff if someone could help me find matching colors, and they assured me Peter would help when he got there. Peter arrived about 45 minutes late to the appointment and already seemed flustered. When I asked for help matching the colors, he rudely told me he would not help me. Eventually, a woman at the front desk stepped in to assist, and Peter made a comment asking why I didn't spend the 45 minutes waiting for him picking the colors myself. I only hadn't because I was specifically told he would help me. Throughout the appointment, his attitude was dismissive and uncomfortable. I eventually put my headphones in because I could tell he didn't want to talk, but I kept the volume low enough to still communicate. While painting my nails, he nearly used the wrong colors several times, and when I pulled my hand away to prevent mistakes, he became irritated. Later, when he asked if I liked the nails and I answered a second too slowly, he snapped at me and said that if I were "paying attention," I would know whether I liked them or not. I calmly explained that I was paying attention, which is why I had corrected several mistakes during the appointment. There was never any apology for being late or for the rude behavior. Still, I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and assumed he was overwhelmed or having a bad day, so I booked with him one final time. That final appointment was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I called the salon that morning to schedule both a pedicure and manicure. The woman on the phone explained that Peter could do my manicure at 1:00 PM, while my pedicure would begin at 1:15 PM. Later, I rearranged my work schedule and called back to ask if both services could start at 1:15 instead, since I work multiple jobs, have three children, live far away, and needed to coordinate school pickup. They agreed. I arrived on time, and my pedicure began while Peter finished another client next to me. Around 1:25, after finishing that client, he walked to the back and took what turned into about a 30-minute lunch break despite knowing I was waiting for my scheduled appointment. I explained to the front desk that I needed to pick up my children from school and specifically arranged my schedule around this appointment. I was simply told, "He's very hungry and needs to eat." By the time he finally sat down with me, he already seemed angry. I showed him the same nail inspiration photo he had previously said was "easy," but after beginning the manicure, he suddenly told me he "didn't have time" to do the design. Throughout the appointment, he repeatedly made rude and unnecessary comments toward me. At one point he even asked, "You're pregnant? Why would you do acrylic if you're pregnant?" I reminded him that he himself had recommended acrylics to me during my first appointment, and he denied ever saying that. The comments continued throughout the service. He became argumentative over the nail shape and refused to continue until I named the exact shape from the inspiration photo. I explained that I didn't know the technical names and simply wanted the same shape as the picture. Eventually I stopped talking altogether because I felt myself getting emotional and knew I was close to crying. Even the woman doing my pedicure kept giving me sympathetic looks throughout the appointment. Ironically, the nails themselves turned out beautiful every time. When he finished, he was proud of his work and even walked me around the salon showing my nails off to staff members, saying they "looked like stickers." But by that point, I was over an hour late picking up my children and had already needed my husband to leave work early to help because the appointment ran so far behind. I am leaving this review because no matter how talented someone is, customers deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. Especially when they are pregnant, spending their hard-earned money, and trusting someone to provide a relaxing service experience. A salon is only as good as the way its staff treats people, and unfortunately, despite liking my nails, I will never return because of how I was treated. read more

My only thing is I wish they would explain the cost as it was twice the price of what I expected and I was in a rush so I didn't get the chance to ask for an itemized explanation of charges.
