I really wanted to love this place because the salon itself was beautiful and the staff was friendly, but unfortunately the prices and quality were incredibly disappointing. First, I was shocked that a basic kids' pedicure for my 8-year-old son cost $27. All they did was trim and clean his nails, followed by a short leg massage. That price seems extremely high for such a simple service, and there was never any discussion of pricing beforehand. The biggest issue, though, was my own nails. I paid about $55 for my gel manicure--$35 for gel polish, plus an additional $20 for a French tip and a small Mickey design. When I woke up the very next morning, less than 24 hours later, the entire gel polish had already peeled completely off one of my thumbnails. The French tip and Mickey design on other nails were also already lifting and peeling. I've never had a gel manicure fail this quickly. If I lived closer and didn't have to drive across the bridge, I would absolutely return to request a full refund because this level of quality is unacceptable. Between my dad, my two kids, and me, we spent close to $500, so we expected much better workmanship. My daughter's nails actually turned out great, so this review is strictly about the quality of my nails. One other thing that bothered me was my dad's pedicure. The staff kept offering him additional services during the appointment, and he kept saying yes without realizing each one came with an extra charge. By the end, his pedicure totaled over $100 plus tip. I really think pricing for add-on services should be clearly explained before they're performed so customers can make informed decisions. This place really needs to be more consistent and actually provide the service that was requested. I asked for a soak-off, but instead the technician drilled my nails down. I didn't think too much of it at first because the last time I had a soak-off done there, they used the cotton ball and foil method like usual. I ended up leaving with my nails hurting. I know I could have said something at the time, but I tend to feel bad speaking up in the moment, especially since I do come here often for manicures. I decided to try Fairy nails lounge because of their reviews. They had a good amount of appointments available online which requires you to pay a down payment to reserve. I didn't know I can just walk in. This place is nice, with all the pedicure chair situated along the wall and all of it had the plastic protective cover for it. The manicure station were all in the middle and they rooms in the back for all the other services they offer. I personally think my service went well until I got to the very end of everything. The package I chose was $55 and then they ended up charging me an additional whopping $15 for gel that I wasnt aware of because my technician did not ask me if I wanted gel. I know that gel is extra but not no $15 extra especially for the quality of pedicure I received. I will go in detail about the quality later. I then paid, and that is when I saw the $15 additional for the gel. So whatever at this point. I then had to tell the guy that I booked online and they charged me for a deposit which he then removed from my final bill. I got home and just kind of let my pedicure be and after less than 24 hours, the side of my big toes started hurting so I checked when I got home and that's when I realized that the lady that did my pedicure did not remove built up skin from my big toes. I ended up doing it myself because of how painful it was. She also didnt cut the sides of my nails when I told her to cut it down. I removed so much skin it was ridiculous. So I wasn't really sure what she was doing during my pedicure cause after inspecting the everything the quality was subpar. One thing I would say, either they go through training or get retrained so they can provide better service cause I would've had rather gone somewhere else and paid what I paid for that to return here and receive mediocre service. Jasmine was quick, I showed her a design but it is not close because lack of material in the shop, her skill is pretty good. I may need to bring my own materials if I want a specific design. Yan is pretty patient although she didn't fix the nail polish out of my toes. (as you can see from the photo) The gel manicure is chipped 3 hours later...as you can see from the photos. Nail tech cut one nail and was bleeding, they gave me cotton after I asked. They overfiled my actual nails so now they are growing out and breaking. They also filed my skin off on 8 nails total, it hurt so bad until it scabbed over!! Horrible experience I won't be coming back, the manager was nice but the owners wouldn't even offer me a refund. This is my second time at Fairy Nails but I heard from my cousin to go to her, so I did...and mannn I'm so glad I listened! I've come 4-5 times in the last 3 months and wanted to give enough visits to really believe that this is a 5 star, one stop shop. I went once to try gel X and was with Trina. I've been a nail biter but had a shoot so my nails had to look neutral but not too long either. She totally listened and it lasted over 2 weeks bc they grew so fast so knew I wanted to keep doing it. When I came back 2 wks later Trina was on vacation. I had Wendy and she was great and we did a fill w chrome. However the next day, 2 were already chipping and lifting and I was really nervous to go back. When I did, Wendy not only fixed the two but offered to fix the entire set! This was amazing service and I was shocked that she took the time and care to fix it but also make sure all were good. She didn't charge at all but I tipped for her time. Eventually I went again to see Trina who I will see exclusively for nails. But I only knew they had a head spa when watching their screen of services. I opted for the 45 min $75 service. Didn't expect it to be a full head spa but facial and massage with neck and shoulders! It was dreamy and Nicky was so good. Definitely something I'd do again and they let you use the blow dryer after free of charge. Now back to Trina and her detail and design! I started to get more designs and showed her some inspo and she always delivers and listens to the length I need while still being real with what will work. I'm really excited as my nails grow and get more bold in designs and looks! Her artistry is so great and she's fast yet meticulous! Prices are also reasonable even when adding design. A basic gelx set is $65, fill is $50 and the design can range from $20-50 depending on what and how complicated you get. Basically - fairy nails lounge is a one stop shop. I could prob spend a whole day pampering myself from pedi, mani, facial, head spa, they do lashes and microblading. They also offer tea, water or soda to make you comfy. I didn't have an appointment and was open to waiting but they took me in right away for a mani & pedi. Abbey did my mani & Kathy did my pedi. When I sat down, I mentioned I wanted to do regular polish and asked for the color book. The salon aesthetics are nice. I really hoped to like this place but my first experience here didn't leave a good impression. I've been stewing on my experience for a few hours now and my opinion hasn't changed. Abbey wasn't rough with my hands, but she also wasn't careful enough. I noticed she had her electric nail file set at a much higher speed than I had ever experienced. Within the first minute of using the file, the drill slipped off the nail and onto my skin. This happened a total of 4 times, drawing a big drop of blood the third time, but still it happened one more time after. She was also careless with using the cuticle nipper. She went very fast and caused 2 cuts on one finger. Kathy was rough/aggressive from the start. She dug the cuticle pusher tool really hard into my nail. It was more like she was trying to scrape off layers of my nail instead of pushing back the cuticles. There was some stinging when she sprayed alcohol onto my toes so I knew there were cuts somewhere. I found one bleeding after I got home. I noticed the front desk has a board displaying daily specials. Today (Friday) was a free parafin wax treatment (normally $15) with a pedicure of $55+. Kathy also called out this promo when asking me what pedicure I wanted. Specifically, she said the promo was only available for the Deluxe, Bomb Spa, or Volcano pedicures. I picked the Deluxe. When we got to the polish part, Kathy grabbed the polish and brought over the UV lamp. I reiterated that I wanted regular polish, not gel. Kathy said the promo is only eligible for the gel polish. Gel add on for the feet is $15. I didn't see this note on board, and the Deluxe pedicure description specifically refers to the Classic pedicure + additions. The Classic pedicure specifically states "your choice of regular polish". By this time, I didn't want to risk anymore pain/injuries. I saw another review where the lady was burned from a lip wax session. No, thank you. I refused the gel add on and the parafin wax promo. Either Kathy was misinformed, or the promo is a scam. Abbey was assigned to another customer when she finished with me, and Kathy just went to sit at one of the empty chairs. I was supposed to wait a few minutes for my polish to dry but Kathy never came back. She was sitting at an unused station on her phone. I removed the toe separators myself after ~15 minutes. When I walked to the front desk, Kathy was quick to approach. Mimi rang me up for the services. There's an option for a discount if you pay cash, but I said I wanted the credit card points. There's a $1.50 fee for credit cards. While paying, Kathy handed me a box of their orange collagen lotion and said it was a gift. After I received my receipt, I informed Mimi of the injuries to my fingers and reiterated that Abbey did apologize, but I wanted to note to her of the injuries. As a busy college student, nails were the last of my concerns. However after a while of shaking hands at career fairs, I couldn't help but be disgusted by the sight of my own. Were they a girl's or an ogre's? Well. It's really not that bad, it just needed a little shaping. To the salon! I decided on Gel X which are nail extensions. It's not harsh compared to acrylics and covers the whole nail. Tim, my nail technician, installed the classic almond shape and adjusted the length according to my liking before we got into the design.
