I'm giving this place 2 stars because the salon was clean, I was seen right away after work around 5pm, and the massage during my pedicure was nice. I needed something quick, and they finished my gel manicure and pedicure in about 45 minutes, which worked for me since I was in a rush. The pricing is decent--you get what you pay for. However, one thing really stood out to me in a negative way. The technician poured the water my hands were soaking in into the same basin where my feet were soaking. I personally haven't experienced that at other salons, and it felt unsanitary to me. Because of that, I wouldn't make this my go-to spot or return. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND, AT ALL. This was hands down the worst nail experience I've ever had. The tech added nails tips then started to add powder on top of the nail tips without trimming them down first, then cut through the semi-dry powder with scissors! yes, scissors! like she was doing an arts and crafts project, not working on someone's hands. I've had my nails done for years and have never seen anything so bizarre or unprofessional. To my knowledge tips are placed cut down and shaped to the desired shape and then the powder is added followed by a final file and shape before the nail polish. Her technique was completely backwards in my opinion. When I asked about the technique, she brushed me off and smugly said, "This is better way." Against all logic, I decided to trust her. Big mistake. From the outside, the nails might look passable, but the inside is full of cracks where she literally sliced through the drying powder. The moment I questioned her, her attitude shifted, she got visibly annoyed, became rough with my hands, and rushed through the rest like she couldn't be bothered. I showed him what I wanted and he delivered this the best My nails ever look since the pandemic I have had many nail specialist, but he is by far the best nail tech that I have had a great experience with. Another thing his staff were laughing and having a great time and had many staff on deck there are ready to work without you having to wait a long period of time to get your services that's another plus in my book. I only heard about this place because a good friend of mine's religiously gets her nails done here, I had to ask her who is her nail tech because her nails are always gorgeous! She said that she goes to Long Nails in Hayward, which totally caught me by surprise because you know nail shop don't necessarily have a good reputation in today's society. My sister and I wanted to treat ourselves as well as our mom to a self care day so we decided to come to Long's to get pedis. After telling my sister that this is where our friend gets her nails done she decided to opt into getting acrylic since she is also equally obsessed with our friend's nail and even talks me into getting them done too. I was skeptical at first because I usually hate how stereotypical nail shops do nails but this place is not your average nail shop at all. Both my sister and I went to see CiCi, who does incredible work! We were in love with our nails and couldn't stop staring at them! This was the best nail shop experience ever! My mom's mani came out nice as well as all three of our pedis. Me and sister loved this place so much we were back before we knew it. It is the worst nail shop I've ever been! Environment - just another local Vietnamese own nail shop so no fancy decorations expected but they don't even have AC inside, it's too hot to fit many ppl into a small space. The day I went, it was a messy young guy who helped me to do a simple pedicure but he didn't perform well in his job, he cut my nail too deep(lucky that it didn't bleed), also lots of basic steps he skipped such as buffing nail after cut, no base coat applied until I told him. Honestly this kind of service completely not worth for more than $20 but I still paid them $37! I swear that I won't go there again!! read more

Had him cut my nails short and told him to thin them out, he left them clunky and uneven. The nail polish was all crooked so I asked him to even it out and he brushed my hand away. Only put 1 coat of gel polish before the design and was rushing me the whole time. He quoted me $50 and then at the end said he was confused and asked for $60. Still I gave him $10 tip. You can tell he didn't know what he was doing and hates his job. Waste of $70 as this morning the gel is peeling off. He didn't allow enough time to cure. Worst service I've ever received. Never going back! My first time here so I booked appointment over the phone, made sure they do dip and design on my natural long nails! They were very certain that all of their nail techs do designs. I get there. I forgot her name but it was longs wife. I told her my nails were dip, first off, she doesn't take them off right, starts using a cuticle cutter and a fake nail to take them off like they were acrylic nails. She broke two of my natural long nails by doing that, When you're supposed to dip it in acetone and wrap it up for easier removal. I was mad I had to cut all my nails short! Then she tried to convince me to get fake nails and acrylic because she doesn't know how to do dip! I was so frustrated because I made it clear on what I wanted! From their 2 other techs did my nails. One did the dip and the other did the design. Both ok, I kept having to tell them how to do their job. Mind you I paid $100 for these nails. The girl doing my design "Rachel" was rushing through it, the areas that had to be polished with color she kept leaving gaps, I also called her out for not doing the design the same on both hands. Her respond was "well I can't make it look like the picture" I wasn't saying I want it to look like the picture. Obviously but I do want it to like the other fingers you painted! Very mediocre work for the price that I paid! It's only been a little over a week! Went in September 10th. And my nails already look like shit, chipping polish, grown out, and she completely didn't polish the ends. When usually at this stage my nails have been 3 weeks in! Smh I did call for a partial refund, but they said they don't give refunds instead come in so they can fix it. **This review is solely regarding the red-haired nail technician** TLDR: Avoid the red-haired nail tech! As this is my current nail salon and I've only seen Cece for all my manicures, she wasn't working today so while getting a pedicure and not paying attention, the red-haired nail tech set up her manicure station and started grinding away my gel polish. I looked up and wasn't too thrilled that I got her as my manicurist because she did a very poor pedicure job the first and last time I got one from her - she nicked a couple of my toes from grinding the gel polish and polishes weren't even. I just let her go about doing my manicure in hopes she doesn't perform like the pedicure. She had a near miss nicking my finger, thankfully it wasn't bleeding! As she was only shaping my nails because I wanted to keep the length and semi-coffin shape, she kept on filing my length with pressure as to shorten them. I told her twice to not make it short. Sadly, all ten finger nails became shorter than I wanted with uneven lengths (which is a pet peeve of mine). Next, as she's polishing my nails I noticed she didn't cover the entire nail bed with color so I pointed it out and she said "don't worry, I do one more (coat)". I proceed to let her handle her business while keeping a tight eye. As I'm inspecting each finger before placing it under the LED lamp, I noticed 3 tiny bumps on the corner of my left thumb. I pointed it out to her and again, she said "don't worry". I thought: How will you fix it after I let that cure under the lamp? Lastly, trusting that she knows what she's doing, I let her finish. By the time the top coat had finished curing, I looked down at each finger nail and saw many, many imperfections from a highly poor job: colors started running off to the side of my nails without her cleaning it up thoroughly, 3 tiny bumps never got fixed despite her trying to file it down AFTER complete curing of all coats, within a few hours the corner next to the bumps started to lift, and a couple of finger tips looked like they bumped into something and caused little horizontal lines and circular indentations. Mind you, the color (DND 595 Velvet Cream) is beautiful and this manicure was supposed to be for my bridal shower party! I will never have her do any of my nails jobs again. I'll wait for when Cece is working! read more

I've been coming to this nail salon for a while and usually have a good experience, but this last visit was beyond disappointing. I had a different tech this time and things went wrong from the start. The set I got looked nothing like the picture I showed her--even the shape and color were way off. When I politely said something, the vibe immediately shifted and it got really awkward. She said it looked different because of the length I chose, which is something she never mentioned before starting. If it was going to change the look that drastically, I should've been told up front. Then the owner Long got involved and started yelling and being really disrespectful, which blew my mind because I was the one paying and just trying to communicate. His wife, Nina, thankfully stepped in and tried to deescalate the situation. She had another tech finish a basic set for me, but I still got charged $50 for nails I wasn't happy with at all. I walked out frustrated, disrespected, and with a set I didn't even want. I'm super disappointed because I've supported this place for a long time, but after this experience, I won't be coming back. Today I went to get my nails done I always get them with Nina. She had a client so they told me to wait 40 m and I waited. Then the guy next to the door started removing my old nails and doing my nails when I told him I wanted Nina to do it. I asked for something and he didn't do what I asked so I told him this isn't what I want. He was very rude told me to go wash my hands and when I came back someone was already on my chair when my nails weren't done. He told me it it was $50 dollars and after the design lhe charged me 80 when previously I got get charged 65 and way larger. I asked him 80? For this just to add glue to them and he responded with attitude and said yes the design cost $30 dollars. This very ridiculous and stupid. Never going there again. The first was the inspo and the red are my nails. He got mad and started arguing with me that I had said no dessing but I told him I don't want the French dessign after he constantly to try force my to get it saying ( is better) is (better) i told him I want plane red and the glue dessign. My cousin actually told me about this spot and the male mail technician that did her nails was really good , I went in and asked for a pedi, nails & eyebrow , appointment was Mande for 11:30am Friday 5th of August. Went because my bday 8-8 trip was close and I was leaving to go on vacation, my pedicure it was great amazing job! However my nails was shaped beautiful beautiful color the only issue is I left happy but my nail index on the left side just came off during vacation as if it was a press on nail. So disappointing . Customer service was good and on point my appointment on point pedicure on point nails on point when I left disappointment my nail came off two days after to me that's a waste of money.
