I went there today 8/12/25 at 1:05 pm and she finished at 1:35pm. I paid $60 upfront for a 45-minute massage that was supposed to cost $50 -- and they never gave me my $10 change back. I waited, thinking it was an honest mistake, but it was clear they had no intention of returning it. Basically, they just pocketed the extra without saying a word. As for the massage itself? Terrible. WTF was she doing? There was no real method or technique -- just inconsistent, random rubbing that felt completely unprofessional. One minute she was on my left shoulder, then suddenly switched to my lower back, then my legs, and back again with no rhythm or flow. I specifically told her to focus on my right shoulder because I had a knot, and she completely ignored it. There was no pressure at all -- it literally felt like she was just dragging her fingernails across my skin the entire time. Not relaxing, not therapeutic, just annoying. I think it was a ginger treatment. Did not get that the 2nd time so when I come back, will definitely request for that treatment again. The bar area with complimentary drinks is such a great touch and makes this place stand out. The facility is clean, peaceful, and spacious. BlueMoon sent reminder texts leading up to the appointment and told us to arrive 5-10 min early for a hair consultation and to change into the robes. My friend and I arrived to our appointment a little before 3:20PM. There was a little waiting area. They had us fill out a quick form and I asked again if we could style my friend's hair a certain way. She said she would let the technician know and if there was time, they'd be able to. She also told us to ask the technician. This is where things went a bit south. We ended up waiting in the waiting room a while. There was a heatwave this particular weekend so it was a bit warm in the waiting room. A few people were there before us and came in after us, but they all got called in before us. I feel like this happened because they tried to put our headspa rooms next to one another, which is so nice, but at the end of the day doesn't matter who you end up next to since the rooms are individual. We ended up starting our hair consultations in the waiting room a little after 3:30. The consultation was a cool experience as they used a camera to check our roots, follicles, oil development, and split ends. Then we waited some more. We finally got called into the headspa rooms around 3:55PM. I ended up having to wait in the hallway a bit as it appeared my room wasn't properly set-up, but no big deal. Eventually, I was let in. They had us change into a very cute and comfortable wrap. By the time we started the headspa, it was 4pm, 40 minutes after we had arrived. The headspa was AMAZING. I had Mimi and she did everything wonderfully. She greeted me and gave me verbal cues. She led me throughout and the pressure of her massage was perfect. SHE WAS FABULOUS! My friend had Wendy. Wendy was also great but didn't give her as many directions as Mimi did. When we finished the headspa portion, we were done around 4:50PM. I went to the hair area first and was given a cute little snack (biscoff cookies, a water bottle, and grapes) in a fun Halloween bowl. Mimi got started on my hair and was done in about 10-15 minutes. MY HAIR LOOKED SO GOOD. Now my friend finished a little bit after me and this is the part that gets difficult. We didn't end up getting out of the headspa until around 5:45PM (2 hours after our appointment started). This is so tough as I know Wendy took her time to make my friend's hair look as good as possible. AND MAN OH MAN DID HER HAIR LOOK GOOD. I think that was on us to not let them know ahead of time that we needed to leave by 5PM/5:15PM the latest to catch sunset, but I didn't know how long things would take. Also, my friend has long hair so I'm sure that played a role. The lady at the front was so nice as she tried to help me let Wendy know that we needed to leave ASAP. But it was such a tough situation. I wanted to get out of there, but I didn't want to rush Wendy and be rude, but we couldn't miss sunset. Wendy didn't necessarily move fast, but again, she might've been taking her time on purpose to ensure a great final product. Either way, she did a great job on my friend's hair. However, I was incredibly stressed out with the time. The lady at the front checked in on Wendy a few times and kept saying she was close to being finished, but it still took another 20-30 minutes from that point. Luckily, we made it to the proposal in the nick of time and we were able to catch some sunlight. It was beautiful! Generally, the services we got at BlueMoon were great. I think it was difficult because we started the actual headspa 30 minutes late and the timing was thrown off.
