We came here awhile back for lunch. We came here b/c at the time It said that we would get a % off If we mentioned we saw this on Yelp. This is the specific reason we went there and had even heard of it. I ordered the Puttanesca and my bf ordered a baked cheese something or another. His tasted great, mine was very bland. I wouldnt reorder this again. The breadsticks in the bag were good and garlicky but I cant eat them so it was more torture to just get a small nibble . . to know its good and not be able to eat it.. :( Well here's where the deduction for the add'l 2 starts comes from: We asked for the check and mentioned we saw this on Yelp. He said he didnt know anything about it. Normally I'd just let this go but it was the way he spoke to us very condescending and I felt a little disrespected. I asked him if he had a manager (which I NEVER EVER do) he left and came back and said oh he's out for a little bit, I said ok, well can you call him? yes... that was little ole me asking for the manager to be phoned. I said I didnt think it was right to advertise buy one get one 1/2 off if you mention you saw it on Yelp and then take it back once you get people in. that's false advertising... He came back and said he called the manager, and that he agreed to take off the discount which was probably no more than $6 or $7 at most. All that for $6.00, really? you're willing to risk losing a customers over that? well they must not be hurting if they can risk being rude. . Would I come back? maybe, ok, let's be honest probably not likely considering there are sooo many places in LV and Henderson where I can spend my $. The food here is close to 4 stars. For the food you get, I feel the prices are reasonable. So with that being said why 2 stars??? Clearly the SERVICE, it is one of the wrost in this town, unless you are out for at least a 2 hour ONE course meal. Really???? This has been the case the last few times we went. So why go back? Two drinks came and away he went, no ask of an appetizer, nothing. Another person came and ordered an Iced Tea and a hot tea was ordered as well. LITERALLY FIVE minutes to get the teas. Finally an ask was made for appetizers and one ordered along with the food. The appetizer came and was eaten very very slowly and aboiut the time we finished eating it, the food came. NOW, in the defense of the restaurant, the food ordered did take some time to prepare and was prepared with quality, care and appreciation for what was being served. A request was made for more hot tea which took the 5 minute waiting game again. Once we were done, the plates were removed from the table in record speed...why can't accompish this with drinks and refills?? We did not want desert, we asked for the left overs to be placed in seperate bags as we were going in two directions. So do you think the SAME guy who took the plates remembered who got what left overs??? NO, this morning it was discovered this task, which was only 3 plates was WAY ABOVE the level of competence of the guy who took the plates. We asked for our bill and then watched the waiter run around, do several other things and pass our table several times before he finally came back and gave us our bill. This whole process of getting the bill, 10 mintues...Needless to say we paid cash as we did not want to wait for him to take the card and never come back even though at this point we were one of ONLY 4 tables in the place. He is a nice guy, but handling more then two 4 tops for him at a time, not a good idea...if you are going to keep the doors open to a certain time and have 2 people at the door, 3 runners including the manager, more then one server would be a good idea. I believe we are done with this place unless we come across a day that we can spend 3 hours in a place to get a salad and a meal. Part A We went here for a (semi-formal) wedding reception- the room was huge. The guest tables were round tables with chairs. Elegant ambiance. The food was excellent. The dish I remember the most is the grilled shrimp (so delicious) on the stone- when we saw the stones getting taken back with some shrimp left, we thought, "What a waste!" The staff, although busy, was excellent in their table service (several courses/sit down dinner). I hate when they start taking away plates when you're not done- but that didn't happen here. The event was well-organized as far as wedding receptions go. So, the four stars are strictly for the wedding reception and food. Part B The location of the restaurant overlooking a sweeping view of the Las Vegas Strip was pretty strategic/smart. Didn't really witness it at this particular time (as it got dark- Part A), but we did notice it when having dinner with the in-laws (live on that side of town). Of course this was foiled since the restaurant was closed for an event, which was funny, because there should be a sign of some sort. Instead of, "We're sorry, we're closed for an event. This has been a go to of ours since we moved here in 04. Food is always good and many choices. Last night the service was way off. If not for the "bus" staff and the food runner we would have left. Saw our waiter twice once when he took our order and the second time he came back because he forgot our order. What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said? The food is great and the service is top notch. A little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. I stopped in with a friend after getting pedicures and working up an appetite shopping. We had calamari and a side of meatballs for appetizers which were both delicious. Oh and the bread sticks were outstanding! Now I know where olive garden got their idea, ha ha. For dinner we split a steak special which was a 16 oz steak with a rosemary demi glaze (((are you drooling yet?))) served with a side of shrimp, roasted potatoes and your choice of either green beans or brussel sprouts. Food was absolutely phenomenal!! My first time here and will one thousand percent be returning and recommending to everyone! My mom tried risotto for the first time and loved it and my shrimp and clam pasta was to die for! Wouldn't suggest the 'baked' clams~it's just a ton of breading on top. But I actually meant to order the 'steamed' clams and just misspoke. Service is not fast at all, so don't go if you have a time constraint. I've been here a few times now and it's a consistently good Italian spot. Everything I've tried has been on point and the portions very decent. I tried the Grilled Lamb Chops on Stone which was very tender, the Calamari Fritti which was very well seasoned, the Scallops and Shrimp which came with large shrimp and scallops and the Prosciutto. I think the only item which was delicious, but a bit on the small portion side was the Cheese Ravioli. Love that they serve hot bread in brown paper bags with olive oil, balsamic and butter. We went to Ventano early for lunch on a Monday, around 11:30. We were the only people in the dining room, but another table sat down after about 10 minutes. The server approached us after a few minutes, which is understandable as they were getting ready for the day. She brought us drinks immediately and we didn't have to wait thereafter for refills. To start, we tried the grilled shrimp on a stone. This was a LOT of the small rock shrimp on a hot stone. I was worried when I saw it was the rock shrimp, as those can easily be overcooked and rubbery. But, these were fantastic. Loads of garlic and very tender. It comes with 2 sauces, a wasabi sauce and a sweeter type sauce. The wasabi was definitely the winner, had just enough kick without being overpowering. This was a very good appetizer, lots of food and quality. Recommended. To eat, I had the chicken spiednini, which is thin chicken cutlets rolled with cheese then fried. The lunch portion is 3 pieces and comes with your choice of pasta. I liked the dish, but it was dry in spots. The sauce was very simple, heavy on tomato flavor. It was not as strong as the appetizer. The wife had clam chowder with caprese salad. The clam chowder was fantastic, thick and hearty with good clam flavor. The caprese was average, the balsamic was solid. One of the best Italian restaurants around. Every time we have gone, the food & service have been exceptional. They even accommodated us when our family of 5 showed up on the second Saturday of December completely forgetting about all the Company Holiday parties that were going on. We were completely understanding & ready to go somewhere else but they told us to wait a minute & the manager (owner?) came out & said "no worries! Just give us a minute" They were able to get us a table with a 5-10 minute wait, max. & with smiles on their faces! That is going WAY above & beyond in my opinion. We have been eating here for years. The food is always good. The service has slowly declined year after year. My most recent visit will be my last. The last 6 or so visits have been a struggle. Big party's come in and you're soon forgotten. The waiters don't help each other. You end up sitting at a dirty table waiting for your check. I waited 30 minutes for my bill this last visit and it wasn't until I got up and finally asked the manager for it that it got paid. Very disappointed!!! read more

Overall I'd recommend this restaurant for the view- spectacular. Food is good but expensive. It's a beautiful restaurant!!! Last night- I DID enjoy myself -BUT sadly it will be my last time at VENTANOS. The staff was unorganized, food and portions- well you can see... and the (total) price!!!! Hello my name is Lora, I came in with my family, some who came from out of town and my disabled grandparents. Our reservation was for 5pm we did arrive 30min earlier fortunately you folks were able to seat us. However, Michael the owner/ GM ended up being our server and I just can't believe the horrible service! I showed up 30min after the rest of my family was seated and we still waited quite awhile for our appetizers to come out mind you they ordered this after being seated. Meanwhile mike had other tables that I couldn't believe how attentive he was to. We waited for so long for our appetizers I had to stop a server and ask who was taking care of us because since 5pm no one has been to our table. Talking to the servers even they knew how horrible at serving he is and felt bad for us that we had him and like a good server asked if there was anything they could do for us. At least he is hiring better servers than himself. Finally at 5:35 he took our order an HOUR LATER our food finally comes out. Again he still hasn't been back. since our service with him HE had only checked on us ONE TIME!!! thank god for his team massively picking up after their GM's slack. Which to say the least was embarrassing maybe if he wasn't hanging out so much with that table by the wine cellar maybe we could've enjoyed our time and had better service but I highly doubt that since his servers and host staff all know how horrible he is too. I work in a high paced restaurant and even for 14 people we could've had the food out in 30 mins after taking the order. Even parties of 20 or more my restaurant could've had the food out in less than 45mins. the reason we didn't go to where I worked is because their menu had an entree half my family wanted. Needless to say I don't think we will ever be coming back or suggest anyone this restaurant. Even after all that all he did was give us a 25% discount like that would make us feel better. I didn't want to give a one-star but after looking back at just my dinner last night it's warranted. We were invited to dinner with a friend who just loves the place so although our past experience was less than stellar I came with an open mind. I ordered salmon with mixed veggies as I'm avoiding carbs. Before I even tasted the food the only veggie was zucchini. So I sent it back as even when I ordered I was told that instead of just zucchini mixed vegetables was an "option." After the plate was returned there were 2 small pieces of broccoli added to the zucchini. Not exactly accommodating. However, it got much worse. I took one bite of my salmon and it was so dry that it was hard to swallow. I finally poured a bit of olive oil on it just to get it down. Since we were invited to a birthday dinner by our friend I did not send it back. The birthday cake was brought out and we were very clear that only 5 out of 6 of us wanted a slice. (I'm on a diet, remember). So following instructions, they brought out 4 slices and the rest of the cake in a box. After I mentioned they were were one slice short the waiter went back into the kitchen - without the cake! After several minutes I just grabbed a plate from an empty table and the problem was solved. Again, minutes later the manager came over but it was too late. Terrible communication and followup. First, my dry overcooked salmon came withe mixed veggies that the manager suggested. Then they waited forever to even come back to cut another slice of cake. On the way out I did tell the manager and hope he took the salmon off my friend's bill but I have no way to know. We won't accept any other invitations to eat at this place. How they have so many people giving high markets who apparently don't have any taste for quality is beyond me. read more

The gluten free pasta is so good you won't even know it's gluten free! Like...hmmm...I think everything is a love here!! Dislike absolutely nothing! When we arrived, we were greeted by the hostess and informed that some upgrades had been made via computer menu system which resulted in some issues, and also, they were short staffed and asked for our patience. We were very understanding. As the evening unfolded however, it was clear all staff members, including the manager, did what they needed to do to take care of their customers. Ventano's Italian Grill is awesome! We came here with a group of friends and the food and service were great. The atmosphere is perfect for a large group of friends, families or a date night. My wife and I definitely took note of the patio and noticed that from the patio, you have a pretty good view of the strip. They have hanging white patio lights on the back patio, that give it a more intimate vibe. Everyone loved the bread and oil/vinegar and everyone loved their meals. I got the Ventano Chicken Tortellini and it was great. We will definitely be back soon! read more

The service was great, but the food I hate. The lobster bisque was way to sweet as if I were given a cup of sugar eat. I don't understand how you can get a Gin & Tonic wrong! The ravioli with meatballs was saggy, flavorless yet salty. If you're looking for a reference on taste, try dog food it might be better. My Seafood risotto was literally just a big bowl of soup with a small portion of rice; although it wasn't too bad. Dessert wasn't bad either just very rich in flavor. Over all experience 2/10. Tonight was super bowl Sunday. I did not realize until after I made the reservation for 7:45 PM. At about 6 I received a call to confirm the reservation and was welcomed to come early. We did just that. My boyfriend and I arrived to find that we were the only ones in the restaurant. That's when I realized that normal Americans were at home watching the game. We were given the choice to seat wherever we liked by our server, Carlos. This was very nice and romantic, which was what I was going for. When we were given the wine menu Adam showed up with a delicious sample of a Red Zinfandel. I thought it was a very appropriate wine and I was leaning towards choosing it But my boy friend decided another wine would be a better idea. I don't know which wine that Adam helped him decide on, but whatever it was, it was perfect. The bag of bread has been my favorite since I was a kid. I've been coming here since the doors opened and I have always looked forward to their bag of bread with olive oil and balsamic dipping. We ordered calamari and shrimp on stone(also a favorite since day one). Delicious!!! The calamari was perfection. Nice big pieces. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. The stone is perfect for keeping it nice and hot while you enjoy it. The marinara for the calamari was so delicious. Great fresh flavor. The calamari had another sauce that was delicious. The shrimp had two amazing sauces that I wasn't sure what they were but they were amazing. I was recommended the steak with potatoes, green beans, and jumbo shrimp. I say the steak because I forget what kind of steak. Either way, it was so delicious. I can't believe how amazing it was. My boy friend had the chicken parmesan. Perfectly al dente pasta. Deliciousness. Our entire meal was epic and both of our servers were amazingly friendly and knowledgable of the menu. I felt quite at home. My boyfriend was impressed and I was shown that nothing has changed since this place opened. It always been amazing. Great memories. Such a romantic atmosphere. I LOVE this place!!! They have it all!!! I have been coming to this place for for 10 years plus.I have walked in and felt like I was with family! I can be alone or with friends. I enjoy the bar area to have a cigarette or 10, if I chose. The rest of the dining area is non- smoking guests. So if you do not like smoke, take advantage of the entire dining room!!!
