Celebrated our 50th NDHS reunion at VENTANO and it was the best decision as everything was perfect! The select menu items, appetizers and desserts were amazingly presented and delicious! Michael and staff were not only professional but very courteous and friendly. The layout for our event was beautiful, linens were in school colors of royal blue including gift table and our school banner was nicely hung for us! I was so excited to come here because the weather was excellent and I would like to enjoy their food sitting outside with the view of the strip. And? Yes i was sited in the perfect sitting area. The service is excellent but when the food came i was expecting a little bit more of a flare on the taste. I am slightly disappointed. I didn't care much if i had to pay their price but its not really to get hyped out. There are a lot of great italian restaurants here in Henderson that Rae sooo good too. If you are understaffed it really says more about the management. I understand everyone is understaffed, but it's because the working class know their worth and other places are paying a livable wage. It's beyond obvious this place does not take care of their employees. From the service to the quality of food...also, what "fine dining" place flickers the f'n lights at 9pm to tell the patrons they are closing?!? Cheesecake factory stays open for their seated patrons. It doesn't matter if they get there 10 mins before closing. That's just tacky business and in a market like Las Vegas it's unacceptable because there are ten more businesses behind this one who would NEVER do that...not to mention the 18% gratuity and parties of 5...that's not even the industry standard and that information alone makes it very clear that this business does not pay their employees a livable wage. From the looks of the reviews from the past year I do not expect to see this business open within the next 6 mos. and it's fine. Maybe the owners and management will learn a valuable lesson or two or five. Save yourself the headache and go to Olive Garden if you want "authentic" food and decent service. But to be honest, go to Giuseppe's if you want great service, atmosphere and amazing food. read more

Everything from Antipasto to our desserts was excellent! Warm bread sticks and our drinks were at our table within minutes after being seated. I had the Spinach salad topped with warm Bacon dressing.. a very unique touch and the combination of mushrooms, bacon and bits of hard boiled eggs went well together. The Shrimp Scampi was cooked to a perfect texture and the lemon butter cream sauce was to die for! I even dipped my asparagus in it! I had the Spumoni Ice Cream cake with the cookie crumb crust and hubby had the Almond Caramel Pecan ice cream cake with Bananas Fosters. So make room for it! Dessert was insanely good! Service and staff was top notch. Even the servers from the bar took time to acknowledge us as we were leaving. I also like the fact when you go to pay your server has a card machine and runs the card in front of you. Very convenient and saves time. With Groupon in hand, my wife, visiting mother, and I coasted into Ventano for dinner on the way between Laughlin and North Las Vegas. We had reservations so were able to be seated in a comfortable booth, and the meal started off well enough, but too soon it became like riding a roller coaster that eventually fell off the tracks. I thought warm bread brought to the table and left there in a brown bag was a nice rustic touch. Vinegar and oil were promptly poured, but I had to ask for butter THREE times before any was brought to the table. Calamari Fritti with a fruity flavored, miso-based Chili Sauce nicely complemented the large serving of tender, lightly breaded Calamari. And, a Lemon Aioli was also prepared and brought out on request. It was rather oily, but lemony as well, and it was a nice gesture of the kitchen to whip it up on short notice, and not charge for this extra condiment. The spicy Marinara Sauce also served with the Calamari was mild but not very flavorful. A Caesar Salad featuring Romaine Lettuce as it should was enhanced by an excellent creamy Caesar dressing, but I had to ask for ground pepper to be sprinkled over the greens. Presentation was nice on a porcelain plate featuring a green leaf design. At this point what ensued was a tremendous wait between remaining courses. For some reason, the waiter did not take our entree orders until 20 minutes after the Calamari appetizer was finished. Then we watched TWO tablefuls of diners who came in after we had already been seated get their entrees served before us, finish their meals, have their leftovers bagged, chat a bit while sipping wine, and then leave the premises before we were ever served any of our entrees. The setting was romantic, with a very nice view of the Stratosphere in the distance. But by now my wife was understandably grumpy because she was starving! It was around an hour of dead time before the entrees were at last brought to us. When they did, Shrimp Angelo with Penne coated in Lemon Butter Sauce was good but not so for real thick Alfredo Sauce. And, I was surprised to see that, rather than being cooked within layers of veal and sage, just one length of Prosciutto that didn't even appear to have been fully cooked had been spread on top of my Veal Saltimbocca. And, only little pieces of sage were mixed in with the veal. Otherwise, the veal in a light amount of Lemon Butter Sauce was tasty next to Fettuccine Alfredo. But this was not classic Veal Saltimbocca. However, Roasted Potatoes were great. We were never given a chance to order dessert. Instead, our contrite server, unbidden, brought out an excellent Tiramisu that was not too heavy on coffee flavoring, and said that this was compliments of the house to make up for our long wait between courses that he claimed occurred because the kitchen "got behind." But he didn't explain how other later-arriving diners were able to leapfrog us in receiving their food orders. At Ventano this night, I even ran into aggravation inside the men's restroom. First, the water from a faucet would not shut off. Then I learned that only one of two so-called motion sensor towel dispensers was working. What ensued next was a battle to attract the attention of this Sensor Cut paper towel machine to recognize my frantic movements and cajole it to finally disgorge two paper towels so I could dry my wet hands. I haven't decided yet whether or not I will give Ventano another chance to redeem itself. The food was pretty tasty on the whole, and the ambiance very nice. But there are so many other Italian restaurants in the Las Vegas valley where the food is equally good or even better tasting, and where one doesn't have to be concerned about possible one- or two-star service to accompany what could very well be four-star food. read more

We've eaten here a couple times and food is always quite good. At night the view over the LV valley is quite pretty. The appetizers are good, bruschetta and hot shrimp on a stone is great. This time eating there, food ordered was fra diavolo with grilled chicken, kids spaghetti, chicken Marsala and cheese raviolis. Everything was very good. We got the chocolate cake with a bday candle for my daughter, which was good, a little too sweet and chocolaty for my tastes, but good. Service; our waiter was super nice, pretty attentive, and I appreciated how when I called to make a reservation for our family I mentioned it was my daughter's bday dinner they asked if I'd like to pre-order a dessert for her, they'd make sure they'd put a candle in it for her. I had dinner and drinks there last Saturday night for the first time and really enjoyed it. I sat in the bar (at the bar) to play video poker and enjoy a martini as I was by myself. The bartender and fellow patrons couldn't have been any nicer! They made me feel very welcome and comfortable to be there. One of the other diners at the bar likened it to the Cheers bar. I can completely agree with that as they all seem to know each other and enjoyed spending time together. It's always a good sign when the same people keep coming back to the same place! Something must be right! I kept seeing and smelling appetizing dishes all around me. Even though I didn't intend to necessarily eat there, I couldn't resist. I started with a half dozen oysters on the half shell. So good! Very fresh and chilled just the way I like them. They were served with cocktail sauce and horseradish and they were both good. Next I had the appetizer portion of the meatballs. Outstanding! Loved the sauce they were in and they were accompanied by some warm bread served in a paper bag. Delicious! Ambiance was amazing ! Such an romantic and pretty view of the valley & strip. My husband and I went Friday for dinner. We decided to sit on the patio as it was perfect weather. Our food was amazing. We stared off to a slow start we were seated and our server gave us water and forgot to come back for 10-15 minutes. Our buser helped up as I asked if we could please order our bottle of wine. Not impressed at all with the food or the service. Our food took forever!!!!! People came and left and our food no were to be found. We felt out race was the reason why we were treated this way in all honesty. And the women in the front lobby were so dry and just kept staring at us. Its truly sad to witness places like this. Upon receiving our food (finally) we had hoped the taste would have been impeccable but I make better Italian food in my own kitchen than what is served here. And this is coming from a Le Cordon Blue grad, so yes, I know my shit. The price was most definitely not worth it and I hate that I spent my birthday here. Second time coming to Ventanos, absolutely awesome place! Industry worker, so really nice to get five star service and food after I get off late from work. Honestly the absolute best place I've been to in a long time! Bartender was amazing, made the experience memorable and just perfect! Cozy bar area with hot machines and cute booths to cuddle in! Every time I go I get great service. They're always so willing to work around my food allergies (gluten and corn) to give me not just a few, but several food options, including gluten free pizza and bread sticks. They're not listed on the menu, but they're there and they're delicious. Essentially, since everything's made fresh, there's a lot they're willing to modify so that you can eat what you truly want off the menu. (And somehow, despite everything being made fresh and to order, their prices manage to be comparable with the big chain Italian restaurants where your food is microwaved and out of a bag - and why would you choose that over fresh??) I'm currently over the moon with their customer service - I really wanted the gluten free pizza and am quarantining so I wanted to order through postmates for contactless delivery. But how can I do that if it's not on the actual menu?? I called the restaurant and the hostess was very friendly and worked it all out for me, no trouble! She made it so easy. The pizza arrived and is delicious and they threw in the gluten free breadsticks, no charge! I normally don't even write yelp reviews, but Ventano deserves every accolade. And in today's climate with Covid, I need everyone to support Ventano so this gem stays open because it's nothing short of incredible. Staff is great. Service is great. Food is incredible. Excellent location and the strip is a longshot nice view past the parking lot. The restaurant has a nice warm feeling however the food is served on out dated plates... similar to my grandmothers china. Presentation of food very basic. This may be great for sensitive digestive systems. Salmon was not seasoned,very simple preparation. The bread comes fresh from the oven in a brown paper bag...it's a highlight w/ vinegar and oil that's served. This was my first experience here. The food was very good and the portions were generous. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Outdoor dinning is available as well as takeout. We were seated inside. The price is reasonable, we were a party of five and the bill with a bottle of wine and drinks was 200 dollars not bad considering we had leftovers. Beautiful place! Upon entering, they do require every guest to wear mask, sanitizer is also provided and temp check is on duty. Place is very spacious with a very beautiful view of the strip making this place a sweet place to take someone for a date or birthdays. Our server was very attentive and we were provided with a brown bag with freshly baked breads inside to dip on our olive and balsamic as a complimentary appetizer. We ordered the shrimp on a stone and I had the traditional shrimp scampi on angel hair and marinara chicken breast which are both tasteful. Let me remind you that this is a Italian place which means servings are gonna be served on huge plate meant for sharing. The food was freshly made and so delicious. We also ordered their Pinot noir which was oh so good which blend well with our dishes! My friend and I enjoyed our dining experience at Ventano. I liked it. I didn't love it. I might go back, probably won't, but I wouldn't be upset if I did. Pros: --Food was good quality, large menu and large dessert menu (always important), long wine list, even had some beer and ciders along with a full bar --Great view of the strip, spacious dining area with plenty of tables --Zeppone dessert which is basically a mountain of powdered donut holes with ice cream and whipped cream on top - who doesn't like that? --Great service - from the hostess to the server to the busser - all were attentive and nice. --The wax sculpture (see photos) they have created! It's pretty amazing! Cons: --If you painted the murals off the walls and carted the wax creation away, and were served a slice of pie and coffee in one of those thick brown mugs, it would look like a Shari's. Or perhaps if you were served that mountain of powdered donuts and a coffee in one of those thick brown mugs, it would be an Elmer's? --It's touted as dressy but it seems confused. There was a woman there wearing an off the shoulder sequin dress at one table and one in jeans and tennis shoes at another. The staff were either wearing black dress shirts or black knights shirts. That was fine but all of the knights shirts looked too warn. Not sure what to think and apparently the guests don't know either...(see photos) --The bar is smoky but on a positive note, it's enclosed and so the restaurant is not smoky at all. Food (based on price and selection) - 4 Location (including ambiance) - 3 Service - 5 All in all, I want to give it a 3.5 but I also always round up so 4 it is! We made a reservation for a patio table, our family said they had a nice view in the evening for sunset and the Las Vegas strip. Hummingbirds were flying around too. We ordered a bottle of wine, they also offered 1/2 bottles which is nice. The menu is large, hard to decide on all the good choices. We ordered the shrimp on a hot stone for appetizer, very good and enough to share. Our party had the angel hair with pomodoro sauce, the special which was haddock with crab meat and scallops with a lemon sauce. It was excellent and came with asparagus. The house salad and Caesar were also very good. No room for dessert for us. Our waiter was excellent too. read more

We all liked our food although the quality wasn't consistent across all of the dishes, there were more that were excellent than not. We had a team event there. I had not been there before and was looking forward to having some good Italian food. Parking was a little weird but we found spaces to park. I walked in and was impressed by the great view. The interior was nice. We had several appetizers. I really enjoyed the grilled shrimp on the stone. Be careful with it. While the servers was setting it down he passed by one of the people eating and the appetizer popped and something hot hit the person sitting next to me. It burned him. It wasn't terrible but the server didn't seem to care. He didn't offer any ice or assistance. He did a good job otherwise. Food was good. Everyone liked the appetizers, entrees and desserts. Ventano's used to be our local (up-scale-ish) resty, however the last 2 times have been so disappointing. From the pasta fagioli to the bad bottle of wine (they did give us a decent one) but I've never had a bottle that turned in a restaurant! Our server was nice (why we are doing 2 stars and not 1) but seemed a bit too busy for us! The pasta fagioli tasted like the bottom of the pot -burnt and oniony. Our reservation was at 6:30 and by 7:45 our food was still not out! Our anniversary was ruined because of this experience. The owner came to apologize and I assumed our bill would be taken care of but it wasn't at all! I should not have assumed. Sorry we won't be back. read more

Had the worst especien e with the bar tender there at night., the guy w the man bun. He was ethnically ignorant. I paid the bill after he made fun of our ordering. He continued to insult our party after I paid the bill and expected a tip. Very unprofessional for a bar tender. Definitely not a good image for the late hours. Ventano is one of the very best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. If you are a Caesar Salad fan...PLEASE try their Grilled Romaine Salad...it's truly not to be missed. Their Shrimp Scampi is very rich, but delicious. They bring you hot homemade bread to start, along w/ a balsalmic and olive oil mixture for dipping. One side of the restaurant overlooks the mountains in the distance, and they have cozy booths around the inner perimeter of the restaurant, so we always try to get one of their booths. If you get their calamari appetizer, the marinara that comes with it is warm and off the charts awesome!!! read more

The food was good the service was not. I asked for a diet coke he brought it with a lemon. I asked if i could have a diet coke without lemon. He said thats how he serves it. Didn't seem right. He could have said I will get you one without lemon. He did not, nor did he care to hear me out. Pretty disappointing. He was very sure of himself and a bit arogant. The food was delicious. The food is what I hoped for. Growing up in an Italian home my expectations are hi and the food was very satisfying. Thank you for the good food.
