I have had holiday parties here before and the food was amazing. Today I went for lunch with my family and it was horrible. We waited a long time to be given water it looked like there was no one in the kitchen cooking and it was obvious in the quality of our food. I ordered a margarita pizza which came out cold and soggy. The sauce tasted like stewed tomatoes and there was a slice of cold tomato on my pizza. My daughter ordered a cheese pizza same problem my husband ordered the shrimp Diablo it was bland and the sauce was a weird consistency and lacking flavor. The bread sticks tasted like they were the frozen kind and heated up. I was thoroughly disappointed. None of us finished our food not even half was eaten it was so bad. Save your money you get a lot better for the price of this place. read more

Pricey compared to Olive Garden and portions aren't huge like some reviews say. This is a place for special occasions though. Packed but it was Saturday night at 7 pm I'd bring my family back. The food was good but nothing special. read more

Love it.. We didn't plan in coming here but because of other restaurants incompetent we ended up here. Our server is wonderful, they sat us right away and ask if what we want to eat. She also mentioned how hot it is outside and we must have some refreshment. Our food was excellent. Lobster ravioli Shrimp and scallops Calamari Steamed clams and mussels. Oh my! no desserts. read more

This is usually my to go place. If I didn't have a feeling of neighboring and a relation to the owner and GM not sure if I would ever go back. Went for prime rib, very disappointed and some of the worst I have ever had. Gravy on prime rib, who does that. Ordered medium. It was gray and cold. The only thing worse was the service. All that for $38 a plate. read more

This restaurant is not what it used to be. The staff and Chef are very friendly and the atmosphere is nice however the service and quality of food has gone down hill. Took 30-40 minutes to bring out the appetizers. Sitting there eating way too much bread. The mushrooms were soggy and stuffed w bread crumbs? Mushy and bland. The muscles were half empty and my steak tasted like meatloaf. The Chef did accommodate us but the food was not good. Not for the price. Not sure if the ownership is cheaping out on the quality of the food these days but it's not the same great tasting restaurant as it used to be a year or 3 ago. What happened to this place??? read more

I've known Arnauld since I was a kid and his place never disappoints. Shrimp and lamb on a stone are killer, and you can't miss from the entree's or desserts. Incredible view and staff, but again, they put their money where their mouths are when it comes to the food. read more

5 star bartender, 5 star food. Raf is the best graveyard bartender in Vegas and all of the food was half off. He recommended the potato wrapped salmon with lobster sauce and paired it with the Mohua Sauvignon Blanc from the region of Marlborough, New Zealand. Thank you Raf, we will be back to see you soon! read more

We forget how yummy this restaurant is and always are happy when we return. Beautiful view of the valley.

This place NEVER lets me or my family down. From the management all the way down they all do a fantastic job and serve great tasting food. My favs are shrimp on stone and lasagna, but no mater what you choose, I'm sure it will be great! read more

This is our go to Italian restaurant! The location is great as it is away from the strip but has an amazing view. I have never had anything bad off the menu and the service is usually good. Wine is reasonably priced and sometimes you can catch some closeout specials. read more

Went here on the fourth of july and the food was awesome took family with me and they all had the same feeling this place is wonderful.

The service, along with the food, has been very inconsistent. We have been to this restaurant a few times, and will most likely return, but our visits are never without issues. Either with the food or with the service, they seem to take turns. Had to send duck back to the kitchen 3 times once due to improper cooking. My suggestion, don't order the duck : ). However, given its convenient location (for us) and for the most part, satisfactory food, we will return. A+ for the shrimp on a stone! read more

Ok...just ok. The first time we went the food was great. This time it was ok. The bread was disappointing. It was less than Olive Garden quality with Ventano prices. read more

A group of 4 of us came to Ventano's based upon the reviews on yelp and they were pretty much right on. The view of the strip in the distance is BY FAR the best attribute of the restaurant. In fact, they have a patio that would have been nice to have dined on but it was still too cold and windy to do so. We look forward to coming back and having a glass of wine out there. However, I'm not sure we will be ordering much food on our next trip as it was just ok. A bit pricy for what you get too. Should a 4 inch by 4 inch piece of lasagna served a la carte worth $18.50? The food was good, but a bit bland. But certainly not like Olive Garden as some have stated. Much better than that!!! Like other reviewers stated, the service was good. And it was quite busy for a Tuesday night as well. I look forward to coming back to the patio, but just to order wine, appetizers and to enjoy the fantastic view. read more

My husband and I went to this restaurant on 6/8/13 for the first time. Saw some pretty good reviews and thought it was worth a try. We will not go back again. Here are the reasons why Service: 1) It was a nightmare. The water had a funny taste to it. We ordered unsweetened ice tea. The waitress never came back to refill our glasses. Finally refilled our glass when someone next to us asked her and then she filled our glass that was like 15 minutes my glass was empty. 2) The waitress was either forgetful or too lazy to get us the correct drink. We ordered "Unsweetened" ice tea, not sweeten ice tea. She gave us sweeten ice tea 2x when she refill our glass. We didn't bother to tell her that it was wrong and see how long it would take for her to realize it was the wrong tea. She refilled us when she was refilling another couple with the same ice tea. She didn't notice and didn't apologize for the wrong drink. It was terrible. I wanted unsweetened ice tea b/c sweetened ice tea gave me heartburns. 3) The tip options were set for you. You basically have no other choice except to give 18% tip for bad service or 20% tip for regular service. It was set on a handheld machine. Overall service, it was terrible. The waitress came to check on us once during the entire meal. Keep giving us the wrong ice tea. Food: 1) It is way over priced with the quality of the food they serve. We ordered an appetizer and 2 basic main course, Arancine $10, Chicken Piccata $20 and Chicken Scallopini $20. 2) Both main course dishes were cover with tones of sauce like swimming in a oval platter tub. The chicken piccata sauce was terrible, lemon juice and cream, way too much lemon juice gave my husband heartburn immediately. 3) Chicken Piccata only had the lemon cream sauce and a few capers with a couple of small chicken breast and an abundance of pasta on the side. The pasta had no taste to it, just basic crushed tomato sauce on top, no seasoning what so ever. My husband is Italian and grew up in a big Italian family. He hated the food. 4) Chicken Scallopini was also swimming in a oval tub platter with pasta on the side as well. A chicken breast was pounded to death. The other chicken breast thickness was uneven. Another small piece of chicken breast somehow crawled into my plate look like some leftover. 5) Arancine, rice ball with mozzarella and peas. It was not worth $10 for 3 rice ball. It was not good at all. I guess that was the reason why they gave us a big bowl of red tomato chili sauce on the side. One bite, I was done with the dish. Overall food, it was terrible. Not worth coming back., not worth the price. The food on the menu is simple, and you will probably think it shouldn't be too bad. Well for some who likes tones of sauce on their food and throws anything in their mouth and think is good, yes, this place isn't bad at all then. Total bill for 1 appetizer 2 main course plus 2 ice tea & 18 % tip is $70+ You could definitely spend the same amount of money elsewhere for better service and food. read more

Love this place. My wife and I go there often for date nights. Service is always good and food is excellent. We always start with the stuffed mushrooms. The view is incredible. read more

I would like the owner to know that i am the person with the Mushroom Risotto and the "indecent".....i have decided to remove my previous review of my experience because of the way the owner handled himself...he was very nice and actually cared about what happened, unlike his manager and staff...i am also a business owner and i know how important YELP can be.........he handled the situation better then his staff...and his managers....and although my "experience" at the restaurant cannot be removed from my memory....i have decided to take this action anyway.....i still would like to say that he needs to work on his menu a bit.....it is not as "italian" as it claims to be...my family is fresh off the boat Italian so we know our food.. ..His bruschetta needs work as well as the involtini...they are not made correctly.....Anyway....thank you to the owner for at least taking the time to contact us and make right of a horrible wrong.... read more

Great view of the city and great food. We will dine there again! Everyone was happy with their meal. We went there for my mom's B-day. Service was good but took a while to get the bill to pay. Plus ordered Ice Cream with a candle to celebrate my mom's b-day because they do not do anything special for b-days and that took a while to get. But over all it was a nice place. read more

This place is outstanding! We have been ere three times. Get the Shrimp on the stone. As the meal goes on the shrimp at the bottom get crispy brown on the bottom, it's delicious in the sauce. They give warm bread, and it is also delicious, crispy yet chewy on the inside with dipping oil! More restaurants need to serve bread, it adds to the value of the meal! The main dishes are very filling, I go with the veal. It's always cooked perfect, they know Italian veal here. Worth the money, great view, great staff! read more

This place is maybe okay at best. The service is good, but the food is inconsistent and mediocre. Been here for a few big group events and the food tends to be of poor quality. Just doesn't seem fresh and authentic. Has a catering feel to it. Had a crab cake as a side to my entree and it was burnt on one side and looked as if it was dropped off the plate, stepped on, and then served. No thanks, not going back.d read more

I have been to this place many times. The food is excellent (and I really love the shrimp on the sizzling hibachi appetizer). Atmosphere is beautiful, especially if it is nice out and you can eat out in the patio read more

Stopped in your oysters. To die for! Or should i say fish for. Awesome. Calimari was rubbery and over done.

Really nice view from the patio :) and excellent service thanks to Carlos! He was attentive, funny, and I appreciated his honesty. Baked clams were yummy, Shrimp and scallop pasta was incredible (definitely could have fed 2 people), and the delicious Zeppole made me rethink the size of my tummy... I'm surprised that nobody had to wheel me out of there :p I'll definitely be returning, so maybe next time ;) read more

I am leaving a second review in less than a month because I had my graduation celebration at Ventano's and I was treated so well by Michael and everyone at Ventano's. I had a large group (16 people) of family come in from out of town and everyone was very happy with the food and service. Our server Michael went over the top and made sure that my mother who planned the party did not have to worry about anything. This place is awesome and it has a great ambience especially if you can sit out on the patio on a nice night like we did! read more

Four of us had dinner here after a conference. Beautiful view of downtown Las Vegas. We were also able to catch a beautiful sunset. Staff was very attentive. The food was very good. My husband had the lasagna and raved about it. I had linguine and clams in white sauce. Plenty of clams. It was very good but I have had better. I'm not complaining. Our friend had pasta with shrimp and scallops and they also said it was very good. We finished off with a cannoli which was delicious. Overall I would recommend and return. It definitely beats chain restaurants and is competes well with high priced alternatives. read more

I love this place! Every time I eat here the service is absolutely off the charts. The lunch menu is as good as the dinner menu!

I used to come here a lot with my parents and the food was delicious, so I took my mother here on her birthday; The food was not nearly as good as it used to be. Service was still great, but the gluten free chicken piccata was bland and the noodles were mushy. My mom got the shrimp parmesan, and it was hard to tell it was even shrimp because of all the breading. My dad got shrimp fra diavolo which wasn't bad. read more

A friend had recommended Ventano to me this week, so when friends said they wanted to try a new place I suggested we try this place out. We were not disappointed. We had reservations for 6 and were immediately seated. We were given a booth close to the patio and the only thing I would change from my visit is to arrive later to enjoy the great view at nighttime. We ordered the lobster ravioli, veal parm, and chicken marsala. We had one person in our group who has, shall we say, a very high standard to meet for her dining experiences. When we got home, she could only rave about this place. We all loved our dishes and think we have found our new Italian go-to place. The servings were plentiful and the highlight was the chef (Andre I believe)visiting our table to make sure our meal was enjoyable. This was a first for me. We joked that we wished the servings were bigger. Needless to say, my chicken marsala was the perfect breakfast today as I couldn't wait for lunch to finish this great meal. The wait staff was so attentive, and yet unobtrusive as they kept my water filled without me having a break in my conversation and kept the bread sticks coming (yum!). Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the dishes and I was highly impressed. I loved the ambience of Ventano and felt so comfortable.Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars as I keep holding that for perfection, but this was very close for me. read more

Wife and i been coming here every December for the past 4 years. We are from california and we always sit in the same spot looking at that wonderful view. We use it as our end of the year trip to review the past year. This last time we went there the staff was so nice to us as we had to wait a little while for our table to become free. They continued to check on us to make sure we were ok as we waited. I must say that for some reason when you sit at this restaurant its just so conducive to sitting and having long conversations. Eventually our table became free and we had a wonderful meal and reflected on the past year and made goals for the year ahead. I just want to thank the all the staff from the owner who spoke to us to the hostess and the waitstaff. This place has just a incredible staff that really cares about their guest and it makes us happy to come here every December. read more

I have forgotten how great this restaurant is. Went there for dinner tonight and sat on the patio. The view was as good as I remember. We where celebrating a special occasion, and I am so glad we went there. We had the shrimp on the stone, lamb chops and an antipasto to share as appetizers. They where all awesome. For dinner we all had entrees that where all amazing. The shrimp and scallops I had where incredible. All the others kept raving about how great their entrees where as well as how generous the portions are. For desert we shared the tiramisu and a cheesecake, absolutely fantastic. We where all very impressed with our server Carlos as we never waited or wanted for anything. This is a great restaurant with exceptional food and service. read more

The atmosphere is very nice, especially the view. But the food was just okay, and overpriced. Service was good.

This place is the kind of place you go to when your hungover or drunk the food is terrible and awful I don't think anyone should go here ever. read more

I had the Shrimp and Scallop pasta on their special selection menu and it was awful. I paid $29.50 for a pasta dish drenched in rich cream sauce. It was more of an expensive soup than a pasta dish. My kids didn't like their pizzas either. We should've gone to Cheesecake Factory or Olive Garden. read more

Excellent! Nice atmosphere, outstanding customer service. I had 1/2 plate of chicken Saltimbuca and shrimp scampi. Wonderful flavors. We also had the bucatini pasta with sausage. Again another winner. You can taste the fresh ingredients and spices. The bread is freshly made too. I highly recommend this place. read more

Let me start by saying that the food was good. The negative review is due to the service. We had a table of 4 on a Saturday afternoon at 4:30. It was not busy at that time. Our waiter introduced another person as his "helper." 3 of our 4 meals were delivered by the helper but he said nothing about the 4th meal so we assumed it was on its way. We waited a while to eat but still nothing. The waiter never came by to see if everything looked okay. Finally, my husband walked over to our waiter (who had his face in the computer) and asked how long it takes for a bowl of spaghetti! The waiter seemed surprised that we were missing a dinner. He went into the kitchen and then came over to tell us that it would be out soon. He apologized as he should have but 3 separate times blamed the kitchen/cook. He kept saying it was on the ticket so it wasn't his fault! Guessing he was trying to protect his tip. It doesn't matter who was to blame. We were the customers and the restaurant staff is a team so the waiter needs to accept responsibility on behalf of the restaurant. He even went so far as to say, "Even though it wasn't my fault, I will be happy to buy you another glass of wine or dessert." Seriously? Nobody wanted another glass of wine or dessert but my problem is with his continuing to say it wasn't his fault. That is not how to do service recovery. He should have told the manager who should have come over personally to apologize. When the food was delivered, the "helper" should have immediately told the waiter we were missing a dinner. The waiter should have checked to see if our meals looked okay. There were so many errors along the way and had any of them not occurred, the restaurant would have recognized their error right away and could have rectified it immediately. What's more is that after the waiter kept blaming the kitchen, the missing meal came right out. It was obviously ready and just sitting somewhere in the kitchen. Too bad this place has decent food, decent ambiance and a decent view. They seem to be stuck not knowing if they want to be a finer dining restaurant, a sports bar or a lower-end chain restaurant. They definitely need customer service and service recovery training. read more

It was everything good people have put on there reviews. I highly recommend going here. It is casual but very nice. Service was great. The food was what you would expect from a good italian restaurants. The wine selection was great and not over priced. They use good oil and vinegar for there bread. The bread is very hot when it arrives at your table. The oysters were good. Nice little hidden gem. The only downfall was the coffee brand they offered. Not a good one. I wanted a cup of coffee or an espresso after dinner but I passed due to the quality of the coffee bean/brand. read more

I am writing this review while waiting for my check. My wife and I came here for the first time on our anniversary for dinner and everything was excellent. Amazing food and Carlos, gave us great service with great suggestions and explanations. This is our second time here and this time around, we decided to come for lunch. Bad move. We first walk in and we are greeted but and we sat down, one guy asks us if ee want beverages and he brings my wife the wrong beverage. In addition, We had a groupon that we wanted to use and we asked them 3 different times if it was acceptable even though it said dinner. He finally tells us it is no good then walks away instead of asking us if we were ready to order even though we had been ready for ten minutes already. We asked for some bread and he says right away, 15 minutes later we still don't have any bread. I assumed it was cooking but he never told us it was in the oven and it would be a few more minutes or anything like that. Finally we order and it takes another 30 minutes or so. So roughly, 50 minutes into us being there we finally get our food. It was delicious. Sometime during the meal I asked for more bread and of course, we never get it nor does he ever tell us it was cooking. I asked for a refill on water and I get another Ginger Ale. It seemed like this duo couldn't grt a damn thing right. Did I mention we had an empty glass sitting on our table for half an hour while eating our food? The food is delicious but if this is the service we get, then surely it will be the last time we come here. If we are gracious enough to come back, we are definitely going for dinner, not lunch. read more
