We popped in after dinner and bellied up to the bar only to be passed over multiple times by the bartenders. They clearly saw us, even made eye contact at times, but just kept moving, taking orders of folks who walked up to the bar well after we had sat down. It was the strangest experience of bar service we had experienced in Killarney. Once the bartender actually acknowledged us, she was friendly. We got our drinks and moved to the front room where they had live music. We finished our drinks, enjoyed the music and called it a night after one pint. The space has all the character of an old Irish pub and we had high hopes for Courtney's, but sadly it was the one negative experience on our trip. Overall, disappointed. Enjoyed the pint and the space is cool, but we wouldn't recommend as a "must do" on a trip to Killarney.

So it would take nearly a year going every day to try everything. That's probably not a healthy way to spend a year. You can always just walk in and order drinks (food available too) but curated tastings normally require advance bookings. But it wasn't busy so the bartender was able to spend some time with us even though the full tasting experience wasn't available at the time.

My friend wanted a meatless option so chose the Mediterranean Cheese sandwich filled with spinach, mozzarella, feta, and sun dried tomato on sourdough. She said everything tasted light and fresh. From the crowd there, it seemed like a nice neighborhood place to watch a game and have a pint.

O Donoghues brought us in with a great menu and friendly staff from the get go. Different seafood and seasoning. He loved it. Main Course: I got Shepherd's Pie as my main. Perfect portion, perfectly made. The cheddar cheese was probably the best I ever had. Locally farmed vegetables. You couldn't ask for more. He got the fish n chips and said it was really good. Next time we're in Killarney we will return!
