Service is good; it doesn't feel rushed, (unless you're the last apppointment, and they're breaking out the fans to dry your nails faster). They're pretty thorough, I usually leave with soft and pretty feet. Place (and equipment) look clean and well maintained. The massage chair is very comfortable. When I first walked in,…read moreI thought WOW this place is beautiful and *spotless.* I also felt safe coming here because they had their Covid procedures posted and clearly visible in the reception area. My sister and I booked appointments the night before the scheduled date. They were able to accomodate us on short notice, so we felt really lucky! Laura worked on both our pedicures (our appointments were one after another, if we booked more in advance they would have been able to schedule us at the same time). She was incredibly caring and checked in to ask if the temperature of the water was ok, if ever I felt uncomfortable to let her know, if the color was OK after she put a drop on the first toe. I could really tell that they are very attentive to their customers and care about helping them feel as comfortable as possible! I'm so happy with how pretty my toes looked at the end of the service (light cotton-candy pink). It was such a relaxing and pleasant experience! It was the perfect way to check something off my list of things to enjoy during my vacation.

One of the girls was giving me a pedicure and Anna (the owner) was giving me a manicure at the same time. The girl was scraping the dead skin off my foot and wasn't paying attention and scraped the side of my foot. Realizing what she'd done, she immediately dropped my foot in the water to hide the cut, which stung so fcking bad. I pulled my foot out of the water and blood was gushing out. Anna said something to her in Vietnamese and the girl ran to grab ointment and bandages. I'm not impressed that she didn't acknowledge her mistake right away, but I didn't make a fuss. The girl was so embarrassed, she didn't look at me for the rest of the time so Anna ended up taking my payment. It's surprising that she charged me full price and I'm an idiot for tipping on top of that. This was 2 months ago and I wasn't going to bother writing about this, but that cut is now a scar, which I'm not happy about. I will never go back there, if I had a health condition this could've ended even worse.

I have been a loyal customer of Pure Nail Bar since they opened and have been getting cat-eye…read moremanicures and pedicures here since 2023. I live just down the street from the salon, which makes it convenient, but the main reason I've continued coming back is because I've consistently had positive experiences and have always left happy with the service. Unfortunately, my most recent pedicure was disappointing. From the beginning, the technician's demeanor made me feel uncomfortable. She handled my feet as though she didn't want to touch them and provided very little communication throughout the service. Rather than simply telling me when to lift my feet or place them back in the tub, she would just look at me and seem to expect that I should know what she wanted. It felt awkward and unwelcoming. The biggest issue was with the cat-eye polish. I specifically requested and paid for cat-eye polish on both my manicure and pedicure. My manicure was done by another technician and the cat-eye effect was exactly what I expected. During my pedicure, however, I was told that the effect was difficult to achieve on toenails because they are smaller. After I questioned why my pedicure didn't resemble my manicure, she only applied the cat-eye effect to my big toenails and left the remaining toes as they were, explaining that the other nails were too small. She mentioned she could try, but by that point I had another appointment to get to and didn't feel like I should have to keep insisting on receiving the service I had already paid for. To make matters more frustrating, I was then told that if I wanted a darker cat-eye effect, I should request a black base next time. Had this been explained at the beginning of the appointment, I would have gladly considered that option. Instead, the explanation came after the service, when it was too late to make changes. The hot stone massage was also uncomfortable. The stones were very hot, yet I was never asked whether the temperature was comfortable before they were applied. A simple check-in would have made a big difference and demonstrated some concern for client comfort. I want to emphasize that this review is based on my experience with one technician and not the salon as a whole. Over the years, I have had many excellent pedicures here and have always felt well taken care of. That's why this experience stood out so much. As a customer who has supported this location for years and lives nearby, I left feeling disappointed, unheard, and as though my comfort and satisfaction were not a priority. I hope this feedback is received constructively, as I would like to continue supporting this salon and seeing the level of service that originally made me a loyal customer.

The overall atmosphere felt comfortable and welcoming. They also offered water or tea when I arrived, which was a nice touch. The nail technician who helped me was very friendly and professional. The gel removal was quick and efficient--it took less than 30 minutes. Not 5 stars yet as I am still observing the quality of their nail polish in terms of how long it last and if it's healthy for my nails. For their pedicure service, they provide all the right elements including big screen tv, foot massage, skin exfoliation, comfy chair, warm foot bath, coffee/tea, clean salon tools, lots of nail polish color options, gentle and patient nail technicians, plus it's reasonably priced with no fear of non-transparent price list that's possible at small shady nail salons with no reputation. Overall, its online booking system, free parking, nail technicians in uniforms, extra promotions available all add to the positive nail salon experience at this Station Square location. Nail technicians that I have met and recommend: Krista, An, and Tina. Call and ask Kyle over the phone if you have questions about whom to book for your desired services as each person will likely have their own speciality in terms of nail art design etc. I like Almond Nail Bar for having many nail technicians, makes it convenient to book same or next day appointments. The girls the accommodated me and my 8 yr old, and the girl stayed after closing for me. My nails w were awesome! One wierd thing I noticed was the first girl started my nails and then in the middle abruptly got up and switched to another girl- no warning or explanation. Strange but ok. The day before yesterday I went for the second time. I went as a walk in, and the girl seemed a bit off from the beginning. Why I'm giving three stars is because I'm happy with the nails, the attitude I got was not ok. She seemed bitchy and at one point she was pointing out that she had to change my mail as the last person did it crooked, she said. I know my mail is slightly cracked and I didn't notice anything the last time- then she held up my finger to show me. When I didn't understand and asked for clarity she got all pissy and said something in her language which in sure was very derogate, right there in front of me! I felt so uncomfortable and upset about it. A bit shocked, even. I let it go but it's still bothering me so I hope this communicates . I paid a lot and tipped too. I'll be going back though , hoping for the best and I'm happy with my nails.
