No isolation of my actual eyelash = my natural lash can't shed naturally, which causes discomfort and irritation
Catherine L.

I don't typically do reviews, but after my experience here I felt compelled to. I chose this place because it was close to my house and I have regretted that decision since. We started my appointment and it was going well, until the end. She glued my eye shut and for 15-20 minutes tried to pry it open which was super painful and uncomfortable, fast forward to last week I had a fill done by my regular artist who recommended I get the entire set removed due to the clumps of lashes stuck to fans, and the lack of isolation.

Healed brows
Tracey O.

I have been waiting years to get my brows done by Michelle. My old micro bladed brows turned red and I had to do four laser tattoo removal sessions to lighten them enough to get them redone. After all those sessions I really did my research and wanted to do my brows with someone reputable and professional. The appointment went so smoothly - during the procedure it didn't even hurt.. i was so shocked because my prior sessions were so painful. Michelle is friendly, sweet, and genuine about giving you the best brows! I could tell she was a perfectionist and an expert at her craft. My brows healed amazingly and I'm so in love with them. Thanks Michelle for my beautiful new brows!

Came here for the first time with a girl friend during COVID…read more I called in and booked mani and pedis for both of us at the same time. No walk ins right now due to COVID. I just booked regular polish for both of us since I didn't want to do gel with COVID uncertainty. There was no pressure at all to upgrade on the call or when we arrived the day of. (You know how it can be...) First impressions walking in: Very clean and bright. Hand sanitizer was right by the door and they asked us to wash our hands at the sink. Because my friend and I were in the same bubble, we could sit side by side for both pedis and manis. There was plexi glass separating us from the staff and each other when we were getting the manis. They opened up new tools in front of us. Again, important during a pandemic or not!! No one needs a nail infection... Parking: SO MUCH street parking all over. And free! Overall, it was wonderful. The owner is so fun to chat to too!! I would definitely return again the next time I'm in the area.

I came here for a pedicure and unfortunately wasn't very impressed with my first experience…read more The first thing I noticed was that the arm of the pedicure chair was pretty dirty. The pedicure started off fine with soaking and exfoliating, but when the technician was cutting my nails, she accidentally cut the corner of my left big toe and it started bleeding. She noticed right away and took care of it, and the bleeding stopped quickly. I've had many pedicures before and this was the first time I've ever been cut to the point of bleeding, so I didn't feel comfortable having her continue. I asked her to just colour my nails. Another technician ended up taking over and she was much better and seemed more experienced. My biggest issue was really the cleanliness. Besides the chair, the UV/LED nail lamp was visibly dirty with a lot of old stains and residue on it. Overall, the service was okay, especially after the second nail technician took over, but between getting cut and the cleanliness of the place, I wouldn't come back. I'm very surprised with the good reviews on Google.

Went here yesterday for a Pedicure (ended up getting a manicure too). The lady working on me (not…read moresure her name) did a wonderful job. She even used a scrub and massaged my lower legs which was nice! She also put a hot cloth on my feet and pulled/cracked my toes. Above and beyond! When my pedicure was almost done, she asked if I wanted a manicure too.. for only $45 total! I was getting my nails done for Mexico this week so I thought at that price of course I should treat myself. The manicure was just as good as the pedi and she took her time. I am not sure why people are complaining about cleanliness, because the place was clean to me. The only slight CONS I had (which is why this isn't 5/5) is that the water was burning hot when she told me to put my feet in. Normally the nail technician checks the water first. A little less scalding would have been nice haha. Also - it says here on yelp that they accept credit.. its actually debit or cash only. (there was a sign on the door but when its open you cant see it) I will be returning with my mom and girl friends :)

Nina does high quality nails whether it's gel, acrylic or just a plain, quick clean up of your nails. TONS of colours to choose from, pedicure chairs give the best massages, hot towel wrapped around your feet before the polish is applied. Feels amazing. Best leg and hand massages. I could go on and on. I am ALWAYS very pleased with the final products. My special paradise. Thanks Nina

We thought it would be some hair treatments similar to a facial but for hair but it was just shampoo and conditioner. The worst part of it was that the technicians aggresively scratch your head so hard. It felt like my skin was being torn off. Quite painful ever after asking for softer force. It was not pleasant nor relaxing at all. They shampoo twice and condition once and then blow dry your hair. They ask you to sit up to do some massaging on your shoulders. Then you are asked to sit in front of a mirror where they serve you cold water and finish blow drying. Then the 'spa' treatment is done and they start to clean up the room and ask you to change.. but they're still there and the door is also wide open to the public area. The technicians were nice people but they really need to reformat their spa style. I also noticed they had extremely long nails which I assumed they also work at the nail salon. This may be the reason why their head scratching hurts a lot.

Then after she did 2 hearts she found out that I had meant that I wanted 10 fingers all with hearts. They closed 7:30 pm but was nice enough to let her finish my nails. This is the nearest salon to my place but I have been to other salons when I was in United States…read moreand the service here is way better than my experience in other salons. Yes this place can some improvement opportunities as out of 10 times I had a few instances where they made me bleed while cleaning nail cuticle. They need to be be more cautious and train their staff better.

I have to say I feel cheated after attending this salon…read more I found them online with decent reviews and saw a "Classical Manicure and Classical Pedicure combo" for $50(or 52) on their website, which made me call them, as I was looking for a not too expensive self treat. I called them and asked if they had any spots available for the "classical mani and classical pedi" which they said to come in right away. As I came in I told them that I called about "classical mani and pedi" combo. They sat me down and started the procedure. The nail ladies were very kind and I will give Charming salon a star for that. I will also give them another star for the foot and hand massage, because I quite enjoyed that. Now for the mani itself, I ended up with air bubbles on some of my nails. But hey at least it's regular polish and it will come off easily and it's not that expensive for the overall experience??? Wrong! As I came up to pay, the machine read $89! I kindly asked the lady as to why is it that much. As online it said only $52. She then told me that the $52 is for "classical mani and classical pedi" and they gave me shellac! That I did not ask for. (To clarify I do not go to nail salons often, and don't have a clear picture of which procedures do what and what they look like). Now I will know.. I then told the lady that this is frustrating as the classical mani and pedi is what I asked for in the beginning and she apologized. And of course I ended up paying that much :( Overall the experience was okay. I got the massage and my pedicure looks great. But I just can't help but feel cheated. Why do I have to pay some much more for a miscommunication on their part. Safe to say I will not be returning as it's not worth the price.
