Jarret is an exceptional team manager and gets five stars. My laptop is happy, which means I am…read morehappy. A while back, I contacted Chipheads for a comparison quote on the replacement of a laptop keyboard and frame after a water spill fried a touchpad. The first place I had visited for a quote was a lovely one-man shop that quoted me $300 minimum for the repair - and that was with full awareness that I'd already purchased my own replacement parts and therefore all cost on his part was purely labor. He also communicated clearly that accessing the keyboard area required moving multiple parts he was not entirely familiar with and laughed that he would have to give me the $2000+ laptop he'd tried to sell me if the repair didn't go well. I left the establishment unconvinced of his capability to fix my also $2000+ design powerhouse that had not left my side since I got her. Enter Chipheads. I contacted via the general email address on the website, outlining the general situation and requesting a quote. Chipheads teammate Scott responded, and the quote he gave was comparable. I then emailed to confirm that I'd ordered the right parts before making the decision to put my laptop basically in the hospital right before I was going to be gone for a full two weeks, so I wouldn't be able to get her back even if the parts were wrong and repairs could not be done. Scott never responded to that email, and I had to leave for my out-of-town event. When I'm home, I rely on my laptop heavily, so dropping off when I'm not occupied with an event is not ideal. When another long event came up on my schedule, I contacted Chipheads again, this time creating a new email thread directing back to the general email address - the previous thread had directed to Scott's email address after we connected. I admit that I was hoping that I would connect with Jarret this time, and I did. He responded not only quickly but also giving me the option of a two-week repair period for less than $200. I'd be occupied with my event for exactly that amount of time anyway, so this was perfect. When I arrived the day before my event started, Jarret was with another guest. Both the impression that the first shop had given me about the delicate nature of my repair and my own experience in tinkering with laptops and electronics in general added to why I specifically waited to speak directly with Jarret given the impression of reliability he gave me in our correspondence. I dropped my laptop off with Jarret the day before my event started. Less than 48 hours later, he called to let me know that my laptop was ready for pickup. That was back in August. I specifically waited to ensure that the laptop was in perfect working order before leaving a review. It's now October. Safe to say, my laptop is in good health. Dropping one star for Scott dropping the ball on communication. Regardless, I'd wholeheartedly recommend Chipheads for your repair and upgrade needs.

He was constantly interrupting me after asking a question and also responding with attitude whenever he spoke. After seeing some of these reviews, I'm glad I called and didn't waste my time going here.

Hey so anyone who follows my posts knows that I was in the market for a new washer and that my…read moreexperience with a local appliance dealer had been less than stellar, so the hubby and I headed over to Best Buy where we got a fair deal on a new washer. The sales rep made it easy. We knew approximately what we were looking for and he led us right there, showed us a few models, gave us a bit of time for us to discuss privately, came back and answered a few questions. Boom he sold us a washer, gave us an option of a way to lower that price even further. That was Monday night; the washer was delivered this morning, Wednesday of the same week. The guys who came to install it were great! We had been given Wednesday with a relatively broad time window as the expected delivery, then they texted me Tuesday with a more precise range. They texted again early Wednesday to confirm and then about 30 minutes before they arrived, we received both a text and a call letting us know they were on their way. When they arrived, the guys checked out the laundry room first, agreed to do a position shuffle to install the new washer closer to the water source and laundry sink, observed that our old washer's hoses were actually quite new and probably could be reused so uninstalled the hoses (so I'll be able to return the new ones that we didn't need - another savings). They then removed the old washer, did the space shuffle, installed the new washer, set it up on the test cycle and were ready to go. In addition these guys were polite. Big box retailers often take that rap for service; at least for our experience with Best Buy give them a fair chance they give a great customer experience.

Before leaving I figured I should open it and make sure I ordered the right product. Glad I did because I did order the wrong one, ugh. I went inside and the door attendant directed me to where the cords were and said I should get the correct one and then I could proceed to the service desk. Now that it's a month later I'm doubting my confidence that it was Jamie that assisted me? When I did the exchange she said there was money due and I interrupted saying: yes $2 and.... She said $7. We discussed that I made the purchase with $5 Best Buy Rewards bucks... would those not transfer over or did I forfeit them with the exchange? Jamie called a manager over as they clicked around and made the $5 transfer to the correct purchase! Thank you both for swiftly processing my return, purchase and also get the discount to transfer over, I very much appreciated the wonderful customer service!
