Rashon and his team went above and beyond my expectations for this project. I was not sure that my computer request project was doable because it involved old PC software to be workable on my Mac. I received superb service on my Dell PC, and the customer service was just as great. My desktop, even when new, was never a superstar. After a few years, I swear it was plagued by demons. It would randomly freeze up, and restarting was the only way to get any use out of it. I had used other companies in the past, but I was searching for someone who actually knew something about computers. I found Nanosystems Inc on Home Advisor, and called, based on other reviews. From the get go, I was impressed by Rashan and his staff. Rashan himself picked up the PC after a phone consult in which it was apparent that this wasn't fixable via a remote visit. Replacing the hard drive helped, but didn't entirely mitigate the issue, so back to the shop it went. Rashan promised that he would keep working on it until the problem was resolved, and he followed through on that promise. After getting it back home, it runs markedly better than it did even when it was new, and at what I consider a very reasonable price. I was prepared to have to invest in a new unit, but I'm happy that I didn't have to. I would recommend Nanosystems to anyone looking for repair or replacement. read more

Let me start off by saying that I don't enjoy giving negative reviews. but I feel like I have to get the word out about the poor practices of this company. It all started when my laptop's bracket was broken. We texted their company number and they gave a rough estimate of about $360. When we got around to taking the laptop in, they re-evaluated that to $450. Understandable. I left my computer with the charger. When the job was complete, I came to pick it up, but noticed the charger was not handed back. The employee looked around the store for it, with no luck. He then told us that they would send us a new charger to our address for the inconvenience, and for now we could borrow one of their universal ones. I was a little bothered, but still appreciated the effort to correct a mistake. That is, until they went back on their word and said they'd bring us our old charger instead! I was very annoyed at this point. Nevertheless, they brought us an old charger- but it was severely damaged with wires sticking out, and didn't even work! Not to mention it was a completely different make. They took it back and said they'd buy us a new one, with my laptop still using this universal backup. Several days later, the "new charger" arrived, but it was a cheap offbrand one that also didn't work. We called the guy in charge and told him to get us a real charger, not some offbrand that doesnt work, and he argued with us angrily. At some point he threatened to fire his employees for his own mistake. What do you think happened next? Well, the boss randomly showed up to our house (I kid you not, we have this on tape) to verify if we were telling the truth and testing the charger on my laptop himself, unbelievable! He did not keep a safe social distance, we had to ask him to put on a mask. Once he knew we weren't lying, he argued at length about what belonged to us and what belonged to him, at some point threatening to dismantle the computer giving the money back, but went back on that one fast. We reached an agreement that I'd pick the charger and he'd pay to order it, and it would be over with. I just had to find it and email it to him. So I found the exact same type as I used to have. And it only gets worse here. They emailed me that they ordered that new charger and it would be there in 8 days, key word is ordered. At this point, I wanted nothing to do with them and to just get it over with. But guess what- they gave us the charger. But, you see, it wasn't a new one like the product details on the link I sent them was- it was the ORIGINAL charger they misplaced there! And the nerve- they even tried to pass it off as a new one, and didn't give me the receipt or box! So now not only is the first "original" they sent me a lie, but their promise on several occasions to send me a "new" one was also a lie. I sent them an email with actual evidence this was an old one (scratches, fading), and it was so obvious that they were forced to admit that it was the old one (admission pictured below). They played dumb asking if it works or not, which is irrelevant to the fact that I was extremely inconvenienced, harassed and not trusted, and CONSISTENTLY lied to about pretty much every detail, on top of the cost of the repair being sky high. These guys no longer have the fully stocked store front as they did in the past, now they only do repairs and build machines. If you can work your way down to the basement of the "Lakes and Plains" building on Raymond avenue you will find a few friendly staff ready to go the extra mile to get your computer fixed. I brought my laptop in with a broken screen and a replacement part. they said it would likely take an hour of work, but a half hour later they gave me a call and had already completed the project. My son referred me here because my laptop was freezing up and then crashing. I dropped it off one day, picked it up and had no problems for a day. Then it crashed! Brought it back, they worked on it, and I picked it up on the same day. I had a teleconference that evening and another the next morning. No crashes. The day after it was repaired, I got a text message asking me if their repair worked. That follow up really impressed me! I don't have the names of the two men who helped me, but they are wonderful to work with, have excellent communication skills as well as their technical skills, and took the time to explain what they were doing and why. I'd go back again. They saved me the cost of a new computer. I would highly recommend them. read more

My computer was in its case when I picked it up, and I naively paid before checking it out (assuming it was fixed as they had told me). When I got it home, I found that it was unfixed and not properly put back together (all of the back screws missing). Like many people, my laptop is an expensive possession that is key to my daily work. The way that it was treated at Nanosystems showed a lot of disrespect to me and their customers in general. When I asked for a refund, I received a half-hearted apology (that appeared to be haphazardly written on a phone), but no action on their part to correct the error. Without a warranty, I found myself without any recourse. Really really disappointed, and will not be returning in the future. If you do go, check the computer before you leave and make sure you get some kind of guarantee on their work in writing. read more

I recently spilled water on my Mac computer and although I was able to turn it back on, the battery continued to lose energy. Rashan at Nanosystems replaced it and was very reassuring about the computers functioning. He was great at communicating and was able to fix everything in less than a half hour. My laptop is old and they went in and fixed everything, my computer was slow; i got a new battery solid state drive and upgrade to windows 10 and its running good as new. First of all this business does not have anything to do with General Nanosystems which had a storefront on University Ave. in Minneapolis. They got rights to use their phone number and that's all. I was very disappointed with their attempt to fix my computer. They ran a couple of anti malware or spyware programs and proclaimed it free of problems. They even promised to fix it for free if it didn't perform as expected. Well the very first click and the computer went nuts with what I would guess is a virus that makes it open multiple windows until infinity. When I called back they said I needed a new computer and it was my hardware that was inadequate. My hardware is inadequate to open one folder of photos? They would not acknowledge the promise to fix it for free. I'm definitely done with them. read more
