But, to save money, I had these guys at Device Pitstop put a new screen on for $300+ I later went on vacation and couldn't take a single outside picture in the sun because the screen was so dark. I couldn't even put the password in or have facial recognition- too dark... what a BIG WASTE of money. Very mad.. they mentioned it would be different, but I had no idea, it would be so bad. Was surprised by this local repair shop. Amazing and knowledgeable staff that can answer all your device or computer needs. They offer full service repairs done onsite for a fair price. My girls had their iPad gen 4 take a header and it shatters the glass. They walked me through the process, explained options and prices and I had my devise back within a couple of days. They sell used decides and have a Buy back/ Trade in program and are great at helping you think through needs. Excellent service. They replaced the hard drive on my IMac and now have tts great and it is tough to find a store that knows how to work on Macs. After replacing the hard drive they wanted to reload my operating system. They changed $100 for this service. I knew I could go to the Apple Store and they would help me do it for free so I declined. Yikes! My smartphone fell out of one of my pockets and dropped over fifteen feet landing on concrete. It still worked but I couldn't operate it. The screen was cracked to holy hell. I remember one of my coworkers recommending this place which is located in a strip mall behind the Wells Fargo bank off of Weaver Lake Road and 694. I walked into the store the next day. It is one of those smaller retail outlets. One of their technicians at the desk right away asked if there was anything he could assist me with. I gave him my phone and told him what happened. He asked a few questions gave me an estimate and told when it would be ready. I had my phone back-good as new-a few hours later fixed at the same price as the estimate. I took in a laptop that was lagging and agreed to replace both batteries for over $400. When the device was returned, they stated there had been liquid damage and now the touch screen doesn't work. I never had problems with the touch screen, so this looks like they damaged my computer while replacing the battery and failed to take responsibility for it. I won't be using them again and won't advise my friends or family to do so, either. * In response to Brad - this was nowhere near a 5-star experience and I'm confident the woman who was speaking with another technician when I came in feels the same. He was comparing your technicians' skillset to that of a neurosurgeon, which is quite a compliment to himself. When the supposed "liquid damage" suddenly appears AFTER your technicians replace the batteries and there were no problems with the touch screen prior, it sure looks suspicious. You have a specific policy addressing why you don't have to take responsibility for messing up a "fix", which should tell people everything they need to know about your business. read more

Honestly, we had good work come from this business. They fixed our iMac that we've been dying to use again. Which was awesome. It took a bit longer than expected which wasn't as awesome, but not a deal breaker. What kind of bummed me out was they gave the computer back, with no new password, after a factory reset. Would not reply to any emails, calls, chats on the website or anything, phone calls go straight to voicemail every time. So they fixed it, but then didn't hit us up for 4 days after with the new password. Was super frustrating being we needed the computer. They finally hit us up, but didn't acknowledge how shitty it was to blow us off for days. If you want to get in touch with them about anything, prepare to not be able to. Device Pitstop is also a UPS access site. I had a UPS package delivered there. It was an expensive $2k laptop. The staff there told me the package was released to someone that had a copy of my driver's license but couldn't tell me who it was. I told them I didn't have anyone pick it up for me and they accused me of fraud. I called the police, reported to UPS and the laptop company. UPS refused to investigate other than calling Device Pitstop. My package was stolen. Do not patronize this store. read more

Incredible service at this location. I was recommended by a friend to come here, but was hesitant. I brought in a severely cracked screen on iPhone 7 Plus. It was repaired in about 60-70 mins. The sales and service staff was knowledgeable professional and I had the ability to watch them interact with about 5 other customers. They really took care of everyone in the store. I had a laptop crash unexpectedly, and they found the problem and fixed it, and the charge was about 30% of what I expected to pay. They were prompt -- having quoted a 2- to 4-day turnaround -- and they were done in two days. They kept me in the loop as to what they were finding, and what the next steps were, and were extremely oriented toward good customer service. I recently downloaded the Windows 10 Anniversary update on my laptop, and it fried my computer! It wouldn't even boot up. I took the it to Device Pitstop in Maple Grove and Max saved all the files on my hard drive, and reset my computer to the factory default. He reloaded all my files, ran the updates, and it was good to go. The only thing I had to do was load my programs. Since all my files were saved, I didn't lose a thing. The service was fast and efficient, and they didn't charge an arm and a leg like a lot of tech services do. Since I'm not very tech savvy I really appreciated that Max was very patient explaining everything that had been done and what I had to do. I was in the market for a refurbished MacBook so I went on their website and purchased 1 for $700. Once they sent the receipt to my email I went to pick it up and was told that they didn't have the item I purchased but they had 1 for $400 more and I could buy that 1 what a joke! To top it off the 2 guys working couldn't even refund my $, only the owner could and they told me the I get to wait 3-5 business days to get my $700 back! My daughters phone fell on water. I brought it in and the tech explained the process clearly. They did not call me the next day as promised so I had to call them which was OK. They explained it needed to dry out for another day before testing. The phone worked when they tested it and I got it back free of charge even though they opened it up and dried it out and spent a little time on it. Original bug happened when I brought home the computer. They saw the bug in the store and said it was the mother board. I just had them replace my back camera in my Iphone 5s for less than $20 when other places charge between 2- 3 times that!
