I had a series of difficulties with a PC I purchased from them. They attended to the repairs quickly; and when it eventually became apparent I'd simply gotten a bad one, they were very attentive to my having a good experience as a customer. The Manager/Owner met with me to select a new PC, with a generous credit. The only reason I don't give 5 stars here is that the communication with staff leading up to the realization I needed a different PC was confusing and frustrating. They are friendly, but they did not seem attuned to the customer's frustration. Finally, I had to request to talk to the Manager in order to get things to happen, and then he was quick to accommodate me. I recommend them; and I would shop there again because of how they resolved my situation. They have little control over the problems that arise, but it's how they handle the problems that matters. They are small, but they have a quality selection and they seem committed to the individual customer's satisfaction; I greatly prefer them over the "big box" stores. read more

Don't bother. When you go to this address, you'll find a pottery painting business. Computer Revolution is out of business, at least at this location. The fact that their web page still points to this Roseville location tells me they are not a reliable computer repair business regardless of where they might currently be located. read more

Went in. Nobody around. Walked around for a bit. Hello? I could hear people chatting in the back. HELLO?! Do you have torx drivers for installing a hard drive. No. You sell hard drives? Yes. But no tools to install them? Blank look. Know where to get them? Nope. Don't you think you should sell them? Blank look. Any suggestions? Nope. If he didn't give me so much attitude I wouldn't have even bothered to write this review. Took our laptop in to get it checked out. They told us it was the hard drive and said there was three different prices to get the new hard drives (different sizes), but to transfer our data would be another $285. It would be another $100 for the diagnosis. We paid $100 for the diagnosis and decided not to do it. We found out a friend's husband works on computers, so we asked him to look at it. He said, "whoever told you it was the hard drive doesn't know their head from their a$$." He downloaded a new driver and it has been working just fine ever since. We called Computer Revolution to request a refund since the diagnosis we paid for was wrong. The guy on the phone said he didn't remember but trusted their diagnosis so they wouldn't give a refund. I walked in and waited only about 5 minutes. I was treated immediately and told I will be with you in a moment. The guy was very helpful and nice he gave me an estimate quickly and I was able to decide if I would like my computer fixed or not. The estimate price it seems fair and it seems like a nice good place to have your computer work done. read more

I went in with a laundry list of issues with my computer. They fixed one, told me it was so simple I should have been able to fix it myself and sent me on my way. I had expected them to take the computer in for service but they are not interested in doing that. I will definitely not be visiting this establishment again read more

Great experience with Computer Revolution! My computer had been working just fine one day and then just stopped working and wouldn't even turn on. It was an issue with the motherboard and the computer was so old that it didn't make sense to fix it. So they helped me purchase a computer very similar to the one I had been using. they transferred the data and helped me get everything up and running. When I got home and got it all plugged in and going I had another question for them. Called and the gentleman very patiently walked me through what I needed to do. I really appreciate everyone's patience with me as this is NOT my forte. read more

When I found that there was a host of data lost after a simple installation of an external card which turned out that I did not needed in the first place, Computer Revolution staff claimed that as if I had started a system restore and completed at the time of the installation of the USB card and system check. I was told my computer 'crashed' during the final stage, but that employee quickly recounted by saying everything is fine after a 'system restore'. For the record, it was my computer that no one has access to do the restore which the store told me someone else did. First thing I found missing was all the downloaded Amazon music, which turned out did not require a special technical knowledge. Soon, I discovered 13 month worth saved e-mails and save documents were nowhere to be found. A business manager volunteered to do the delete recovery at no cost, and to reimburse me the cost of card installation as well. I decided to give it a try on these seemingly sensible suggestion to my dilemma which the business manager initiated. I then took in the desktop for a recovery task. Again, I did not have an access to my daily computer use for additional 5 days. On both promises, they failed to deliver. When I got my computer back,I realized 'delete recovery' was lengthy but useless. Besides days of without use of computer for the recovery, which caused a great deal of inconvenience, the so-called 'recovered files' was simply no better than the data I stored on my external memory device. I wonder why the files were not checked before delivering the computer. When it they realize the recovery attempt was a failure, they asked additional time to work on it further. After 2 weeks, Computer Revolution informed me it could not be successful. When I came to a conclusion that a limited capacity of Computer Revolution, I decided to inform future possible clients to be aware that there is this store that failed to deliver a satisfactory outcome, despite a promise by an owner. It has been a nightmare I do not wish the unsuspecting public go through it. read more

I would give them zero if I could! Two months ago, I brought in my laptop. They charged $110 for the diagnostic test. They said they couldn't find any problems. I brought it in on the 90 day warranty a week later when the problem persisted. Same answer. Two weeks ago, the problem progressed to the point of not being able to use my computer at all. I brought it in (on the warranty again) and it took them a week and a half (after telling me it would take two to three days) to tell me that they thought the hard drive and mother board were failed/failing. They then offered to "recycle it at no charge". My computer is a MacBook Pro. They told me that they had a Mac expert technician who would work on my computer. I did not trust/believe their diagnosis. I took it to the Apple store and they diagnosed it in five minutes (computer revolution was wrong, as I suspected), and the Apple repair shop had it completely fixed and back to me within three days. I don't know about PCs, but DO NOT trust these people with Mac products. They clearly do not know what they are doing AND they try to take advantage and "recycle" computers without any compensation. I was disgusted with their service/lack thereof. read more

This place is awful. Brought my computer in to have a video card installed. When the worker there put the card in, it caused the computer to malfunction when I got home. Was not tested before I left. Brought it back and after getting nowhere with the employees/techs there, I spoke with one of the managers. When I returned the card the guy who installed it had the nerve to try to deduct a 25% restocking fee. Was told my motherboard was bad. Manger did offer to install my old hard drive into a new computer, which helped the situation. Turns out the motherboard was fine and is still being used with no issues. When I went back to find out why the motherboard tested bad, I was interrupted by one of the workers when speaking with the manager. He said blatantly, "You're 11 appointment is here", in order to get me to leave, which I did. If you're thinking about having service done on your computer at this place, don't. Save yourself the frustration and headaches. read more
