Product Warranty is a SERIOUS issue! They have programmed their "workers" to somehow ALWAYS find "loopholes" on their products. Another 30+ minutes I will NOT get back. What a WASTE!!

iPhone photography class-using the screen to follow along!

I would recommend the in store class: Photo Skills-Photography on iPhone for anyone who uses their iPhone camera. Our instructor, Dave was awesome teaching us ALL at LEAST 1-3 things about using the new iPhone camera functions. As an Apple Sage once said, "You know what you know", meaning you probably don't even know what you're not aware of....which I found to be totally true in this class. The "Hidden" feature on our phones, how to SAFELY hand off your phone to strangers for that photo without giving them access to YOUR information, how to lock into the AE/AF...all things I learned in this hour long class! Now Apple has loaded even more photography classes: Photo Editing, Photo Tour (Portraits) (Framing Architecture), Video on your iPhone. I want to be a better Yelper & have great photos (videos coming soon), so this class was invaluable to me. Thank you Dave! (oh yeah-he was the Apple Sage that I quoted above). Classes are free but you need to sign up for the classes. You can repeat classes. You don't need to use your phone in class-they will provide one for you to use.

Before leaving I figured I should open it and make sure I ordered the right product. Glad I did because I did order the wrong one, ugh. I went inside and the door attendant directed me to where the cords were and said I should get the correct one and then I could proceed to the service desk. Now that it's a month later I'm doubting my confidence that it was Jamie that assisted me? When I did the exchange she said there was money due and I interrupted saying: yes $2 and.... She said $7. We discussed that I made the purchase with $5 Best Buy Rewards bucks... would those not transfer over or did I forfeit them with the exchange? Jamie called a manager over as they clicked around and made the $5 transfer to the correct purchase! Thank you both for swiftly processing my return, purchase and also get the discount to transfer over, I very much appreciated the wonderful customer service!

I am normally not in the habit of carefully inspecting curbside orders but I really should have. They left the name of the previous customer on the box. I have contacted him and he is less than enthused about this experience, too. I would prefer to not have to drive all the way back to that store, but the customer service agents have not been helpful. I would strongly suggest not purchasing anything that you might use to feed your family. It is clear that they do not pay any attention to what they're selling.

Dealt with them several years ago for an order of ~10 used laptops. Reasonably priced and free delivery. Quality of the laptops was decent. OK, cool Dealt with them this year for another batch of used laptops. Delivered batch of 10 laptops and told me, off-hand as they were leaving, "Oh I know you ordered each laptop with 8GB of RAM but 4 of them only have 4GB because it's all we had. I'll drop off the correct memory later." Wonderful. Would have preferred to have been warned in advance, so I could ask that they only deliver the order when it was actually complete and correct, but I'm stuck now, I guess. Thus begins an annoying month of waiting, phone calls, and emails trying to arrange for the delivery of the additional memory. Finally, memory was dropped off. BUT. It was the wrong type. Another several weeks of unanswered emails and calls to the poor front desk worker without actually being able to talk to the person in charge of ordering the correct hardware and delivering on the order. At this point, I'm chalking this up to an expensive lesson learned, as I will probably need to just go buy the required memory instead of waiting at the mercy of poor communication and even poorer customer service.

I would call to find out the estimated date (if its shipping UPS or FedEx, they give an approximate date, why they couldn't figure this out is beyond me.) They would tell me The would look into it, and never call me back. Finally, they called me to tell me it was in. They did the work, took only a few hours. I brought the laptop home and realized it no longer went to "sleep" when closing the computer. I called them to ask about it, and after sitting on hold for 10 minutes, they got on the phone and told me that I should bring it in, but it would be $110 for a diagnostic!!!!!!! I said you had my laptop, worked on it, I bring it home and it does not work, now you want me to pay $110 for something you screwed up? He said the LCD has nothing to do with the sensor that isn't working on your computer... Funny that sensor worked just fine until they had my computer.... don't walk RUN away from Computer Revolution.

I emailed them on Monday asking what they might give me for my laptop. No response by the end of the business day on Tuesday so I lugged my laptop into the store (which was void of customers by the way - not sure how they were too busy to respond to my email). I told them that I knew my laptop needed a new battery and one new cable/ribbon, but was wondering if they would take it as a trade, because obviously they could fix it up easily. (Originally cost $1300). Without hardly looking at the computer I was told "no" because of the minor issues with it. I asked, well, then, how much would it cost for you guys to fix it and I will just keep it? They told me that diagnostics would cost over $100 (Even though I TOLD THEM I already knew what the problem was.) Then I asked, well how much would it cost just for you guys to obtain a new battery for me? They told me that THAT would cost over $100 plus labor. (Although online I see it selling for $55 on multiple websites.) This place is a ripoff with horrible customer service. Will never be back.

Hands down, Shock City Cellular in the Rosedale Mall is the most irresponsible, disorganized and…read moreshadiest cellular agent I have ever had the displeasure of purchasing cellular equipment. Irresponsible and disorganized because after nearly 7 weeks of purchasing our first phone on the family plan, I, not Shock City Cellular, am still trying to fix their mistakes. They not only set us up twice on the wrong family plan, but they also submitted the wrong wireless number for insurance. So of course, my number was unable to be found. Today, I am still cleaning up their mess. Shady because in my opinion, they only look to make sales, regardless of what they promise. The following example is case in point. On their website (shockcitycellular.com) they have a coupon for $20 off equipment and $10 off accessories. We purchased a Samsung Galaxy S3 and an I-Phone 5. The $20 was taken off the Samsung and we purchased a case for $10 less due to the coupon. Because my phone was not in and because Staci, the Wireless Expert for Shock City, "did not know how to apply the $20 off the I-Phone", she said she would take the $30 ($20 equipment discount and the $10 accessory discount) off the accessories I buy when I come back. I agreed. A week later my phone came in. Staci set it up and now tells me that the owner, Nate Puccini, will not give me the $20 portion of the equipment credit because they "don't do that on I-Phones." Please note that at the time, the coupon specifically had a picture of the I-Phone on it. So how does that make sense? Furthermore, the $10 coupon I still had on accessories now does me no good because THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY I-PHONE 5 ACCESSORIES! So essentially, the $30 coupon is useless. But wait it gets better. She then tells me that I WAS LUCKY I was able to get the discount on the Samsung phone because they usually don't accept these coupons. What?!?! How ridiculous is that??? Shock Cellular has a coupon, I use the coupon and I am 'lucky' that I was able to get that money discounted off that product?!?! I was so disgusted that I finally called Chad Capp, who is supposedly the Vice President of the company, but he never returned my call. Ridiculous... Buyer Beware! Stay as far away as you can from Shock City Cellular in Rosedale!!!
