We ate dinner here last night. The salad bar was delicious. Jalapeño crab salad was great with their rolls! The service was good. My drink stayed full. My Coke was flat at one point, but they took care of it immediately. The meat was delicious. There was not one cut that I didn't like. I even tried the lamb which was good. It wasn't that impressive. I've eaten at six different Brazilian Steakhouse's (churrascaria) so I've had a good sample to rate this restaurant. I was greated by a waiter that was very hard to understand, I know Portuguese is the language of the restaurant but he spoke Spanish which I still didn't understand him and I'm Mexican. The salad bar was fresh, the house cab delicious but the churrascaria was something to be desired, done cuts were very greasy. I still feel Fogo de Chão is the best I've had. read more

First off, the rolls are amazing. They are stuffed with cheese and the waiter gave me a box to take home because he saw how obsessed I was with them. The salad bar was really good, you can fill up only on that. The meat was amazing. I have been to other Brazilian steakhouses but VB really impressed me. The garlic beef was my favorite! Honestly the quality control of the the steak and other hot foods leaves room for GREAT improvement. The customer service however is fantastic. Back to the food... most of the hot food was mediocre, in other words, nothing tasted great. The salad station and grilled chicken was everyone's underwhelming favorite at the table. For the price of nearly 40$-80$ a person I expect much better tasting foods. The hot food station rice was empty / burned. The roasted vegetable were not roasted. When the rice and vegetables ran out it was not replaced in a timely manner. For desert we had the creme brûlée which was the absolute favorite for all. My wife and I have been to VB Steakhouse for lunch a dozen times. We even had our office dinner there one evening. We have had nothing but great food and service each time. Priced considerably lower than most Brazilian churrascarias, I think it's the among the best values in Arlington. For those who haven't been to a churrascaria, you can help yourself to the salad bar and waiters stroll from table to table slicing all the meet you can possibly consume. If you choose as I do usually, I'm content just eating the salad bar, which on our last visit included a fish dish with a mouth watering rich cheese sauce. My wife on the other hand, being a Kiwi, loves the New Zealand rack of lamb, which some food critics acclaim as the best in the world. At most restaurants, if she orders spring lamb, she might get 4 chops at a price greater than the tab for the whole meal at VB Steakhouse. The owners are two brothers from Brazil who take seriously great service and bargain prices. The waiters I have spoken to are Brazilian and are quite knowledgeable about the food. I've read some other reviews which point out that other restaurants have a greater selection of salad offerings. That may be true, but I like the quality and flavor at VB. After a dozen visits, I am still anxious to return. read more

The food was good and the service was excellent. However, rather than a suggested gratuity, they mandatorily add a 20% tip to your bill as a charge. Based on the food and service we received, we planned on leaving a generous tip...maybe more than 20%. Just as a matter of principle, I don't want to be told I have to pay a certain amount for a tip. Enjoyed the entertainer/singer/piano player! Fantastic service, excellent meats! We ate way too much but it was so delicious. We had a bottle of wine and a great meal and the price was far lower than we expected though we aren't sure it it is a cost of living difference between Colorado and Texas. Dined on Valentines Day - received a free rose for my wife. Very good salad bar (some form of soup would have been nice), the meats were outstanding (the best), and the desert was excellent. The ambience was excellent, except the background music was a little loud but not bad. A little spendy but worth it. But the service was far and away the best, particularly the manager. This place is freaking amazing. Staff was way beyond expectations. So let's start from the beginning, no one ever reads the 5 star reviews anyways. But I had to write about this place bc I was super skeptical of it before showing up. We've been to fogo de chao, Texas de Brazil, estilio gaucho (or whatever) so we've been around the block but I must admit, this place is ranked top for sure. We just ate at fogo de chao on Easter and we ate here 2-3 weeks later so fairly recent. I didn't realize how salty fogo was until we were here. The marinade on the meats were perfect. Never had a meatless plate bc everyone always asked if we wanted more or if we had any requests. Drinks were never dry and the simplest gestures like placing my napkin in my lap every time I stood up was not over looked. Service was great. My daughter ordered the Brazilian lemonade and I asked her a refill in her plastic cup and instead of pouring us whatever was left over from the carafe he just said let me grab you a fresh one and came out with a brand new cup and new lemonade. Stop it, I was so over whelmed with happiness lol. Also she's 1 1/2 so you can imagine meat is not on her list of things she loves to eat. Our waiter, Ponchio (I had to call the restaurant back to get your name bc everyone needed to know how great you are) came out with French fries for her!!!!!! What?!?!?!? How awesome are you guys!!!! Also there was another server helping as well, Chaz (I called back and ask for your name too Chaz lol) who made sure we were continuously taken care of and our drinks were never dry and plates were never dirty. A week ago I had a hankering for a good steak. I saw the reviews on VB and thought I would try it out. Here is what I noted: Pros Very friendly staff. Nice interior Cons Not much salad selection on the salad bar Not much flavor on the meats The salad bar had a choice of salad greens or field greens. If you wanted any additional items, such as nuts, cheese, etc you were out of luck. There were plenty of pasta salad types so if that is what you like you'll enjoy this bar. Once I started in on the meat selections I was mildly disappointed. There was not a lot of seasoning on much of their meats and the best tasting meat item was the bacon wrapped chicken. The prime rib was good but I don't normally eat it because of the fat. I declined any more meat items waiting on the filet mignonette to come out. When they finally brought it around it was awful. There was so much salt on it that I almost gagged. I tried to finish the bite but finally had to spit it out. When I notified the manager he immediately had another one cooked for me that was much better, but my experience was spoiled already. The waiters and managers were very friendly and I would complement the staff on the way they take care of the customer. I do not, however, believe that I will be back. read more

Recently discovered this place. Nice atmosphere, very attentive (almost overly so) waiters, a swarm of meat servers. Salad bar was good with a nice variety including salmon; side dishes brought to table were good and replaced as soon as they were gone without having been requested. The meats were varied and good as one would expect from any of the competing brazilian steakhouses. Cost was only about $30 on Sunday night per person all you can eat, which is less than the competition! read more
