Update: Finally got delivery scheduled for Tuesday 10-11AM. At 11:45 I called to inquire where the delivery was. I was told they'd call me back. at about 1 I checked my email and there was a message that the truck got a flat and could they reschedule. I wrote back sure any time after 4:30 that day would be great. Another email said sure we can deliver after 4:30. At 4:50 (since they close at 5) I called and had to threaten to cancel the credit card payment. Vanity Showed up at 5:15. Later that night I emailed them back that the vanity was installed and when can they come to template the top. It's two days later and two emails later (another one this morning) and a phone call and they'll get back to me. Bill Shea's just gave me a quote for the same price for the same counter top, they'll come next week to template and should have the countertop ready for install in 10 days from that. I think I'm going to dispute the credit card charges if I don't hear back by the end of today and go with Bill Shea's. AVOID VANITY WORLD unless you want a never ending project. 2nd Update: Went to VW to ask for refund for the countertop part of my bill. They refused and told me to "Get the F*&k out". Contesting with credit card company. Looks like this will end up in small claims. read more

Stay away from this place! They are not trust worthy and terrible with customer service. They are supper nice with you when you are making a purchase, but the quality of the product you receive is terrible and when there is an issue with damaged product, they take no responsibility to help you resolve it. read more

I would not recommend this store. To anyone. Ever. The product selection was good but the customer service and execution was miserable. George was nice enough during the order process, but when there was a problem with the product he took no responsibility and offered no apology. Acknowledgment goes a long way, but instead he just ordered another one and moved on. Nothing about the exchange was pleasant or noteworthy. Even now, months later, I still feel unsettled. Next time I'm happy to pay a little bit more and go someplace else. Trust me, there are other bath and kitchen shops that will treat you right. Keep looking. read more

Amazing experience with Afram, great variety of options to choose from. I needed a new countertop and was looking for something that was reasonably priced. I spent a lot of time looking around as I wasn't 100% of what I wanted, Afram was very helpful in answering my questions. read more

Headed there today and at the door was a sign about calling a phone number when I was at the door. I called and someone told me to come in. I was told by a man that he would be right with me. I walked around for awhile and overheard the two men discussing on a speaker phone about booking a vacation stay. Eventually, the same gentleman walk by me and again said he'd be right with me. The other man followed him and both walked by me again and booked a vacation. I hope someone has a pleasant vacation but I left the store never having anyone help me. Ridiculous. Our vanity cabinet and quartz top are beautiful. After some initial bumps, George became involved with our order and he worked hard to make sure everything was corrected and sized perfectly. It looks great. We would return to Vanity World for future orders and work with George directly - he really understands the nuances for making sure the pieces are properly sized for spaces that are not simple out-of-the box pieces, like ours is. read more

The back office operations is so incompetent With scheduling and delivery and do not care about customer service. Vanity World has a great selection to choose from. We chose a custom built vanity made locally. The craftsmanship of the cabinets was of very high quality. We did encounter a problem with the paint color we ordered but George was extremely helpful in making sure the problem was rectified (and it was not an easy fix). He was always very quick to respond to all my emails and made sure that we were happy with the results. The only negative I could say was that the time frame of 6-8 weeks was not accurate. Fortunately we were in no rush for it but we did have to call George to see how things were going after 5 months of no contact. Overall though, we were really happy with the vanity and George was a pleasure to work with! read more

I have nothing to say but positive things about this company. I built a 6500 sq ft home and wanted to save some money in 3 of the bathrooms. My brother who's a builder suggested VW. I worked with George at the Braintree location. Let me say this....I am very particular and can be a bit of a pain in the ass. He was patient and knowledgable. I made several visits before making my decisions and always got his undivided attention. When one of the pieces arrived damaged he exchanged it no problem even after the contractor installed it. It took 2 1/2 years to finish my house and I've had to deal with a lot of people trying to pick my pocket as well incompetence. This is a great company that I highly recommend! read more

Our vanity was delivered just one week later than expected in the setting of snowmegeddon 2015, which I think is amazing. DON'T USE VANITY WORLD: PLEASE READ THIS FIRST. My contractor mentioned this place as an option. We chose it because they had in-stock cabinet at the factory that shipped quickly, about 7 business days.We purchased about $5,000 in cabinets, mirrors, vanities and an over the john cubby. They repeatedly screwed up EVERYTHING over and over again from start to finish, read on its incredible how incompetent they are. First, after waiting 10 days for the cabinets, I arrived at Vanity World only to find out they forgot to order the cabinets. They didn't forget to charge my credit card, though. George said he would rush the order and have them here in 3 business days. When I showed up on that Wednesday he informed me he couldn't get them until next week. It would have been great if he called or emailed me before I drove down there to pick them up. So the next week when I went back to FINALLY pick up the cabinets, 2 out of the 4 were not the size I ordered. Now I had to wait another week to get the last to cabinets. IT GETS MUCH, MUCH WORST. With that nightmare behind me, its time for the rest of my order. Earlier in the week, George gave me the tracking number for my order. FedEx tracking indicated it was delivered at 9:47 a.m. at vanity world in Canton. Later that day when I went to pick it up, they couldn't find it. I waited 45 minutes while they tried to figure it out. Well, they had it shipped to one of their other stores by accident . So I had to come back yet again on Monday. When I arrived to pick up the rest of my order on Monday, they screwed that up as well. First of all the order was 10 days late which really messed up my contractor, although he has been patient with all these delays caused by vanity world. Then we discovered that the cubby was damaged and they put the wrong hardware on the door. In addition, the hardware was mounted crooked. It looked like this cubby was returned by someone else and they tried to dump it off on me. That's not all, the other vanity I picked up was missing the hardware that we ordered. I can honestly say they screwed up EVERY SINGLE ITEM that I ordered without exception. They have extremely poor customer service and they never answer the phone. When you are in their store shopping you will hear the phone ring constantly and no one picks up, which is frustrating when you are trying to find out what's going on with your order. The manager offered a 10% discount, which I was not happy about. I felt this colossal nightmare warranted a better discount given the prices of their items. I mean, the cubby I ordered was essentially a small wooden box, no bigger than 24 inch and it was $500 and another $500 for two small mirrors. When I asked to speak with the owner, he said go right ahead and handed me his business card. He said the owner has the same last name in a condescending tone (implying it was a family member). When I called the number....NO ONE ANSWERED. What a surprised. UPDDATE: I told George to let me know when the new cubby was in, and I will pick it up. He offered to drive out to my house, but I didn't like that idea since things had deteriorated so badly. He never contacted me about the cubby. Four or five days after it was expected to arrive, I emailed him to find out the status. He responded it was in, and against my wishes brought is to my house the next day. My wife was the only one home and it was an uncomfortable encounter and he was less than pleasant. read more

Buyer be aware; Vanity World in Canton Ma is not an honorable business. I purchased a 30" bathroom vanity called the fairmont that cost approximately $1400; not including the vanity top. All together, I spent approximately $2000. I was shown this vanity that had 3 functioning draws. The extra storage space was the selling point on spending the extra money for a nice vanity; however, when I received my vanity, it only had 2 functioning draws. I immediately contacted Vanity World via phone call and email. I received a response from George who apologized for misleading me into thinking the vanity I purchased had 3 draws. He said he would attempt to make this issue right. He then told me it was impossible for a 30" vanity to have 3 functioning draws but there was 1 in Home Depot. I text George pictures and he actually went to Home Depot to verify. After verification that it was possible, he said that he could possibly have his cabinet makers fabricate the draw. Then George disappeared. He stopped communicating with me via text messages. No response to emails or the business lines. Totally unprofessional and arguably criminal. I fear my options have been depleted and I will need to seek further legal advice to deal with this matter. Please don't set yourself up by doing business with this company. read more

I dealt with the west Roxbury location which seems to be closed or relocated. I really wanted to give this place a 5 star rating particularly that the initial encounter was great up until the order was placed and my credit card was fully charged then everything was a disaster after that. First of all it was impossible to get a hold of the person in charge. Then my order was delayed for one week(this is after confirming with them that the vanity is ready and I sent my contractor to pick it up and it wasn't anywhere to be found) After a week of delay, it was the wrong color. So that delayed it for another 5 days. Now we're already two weeks passed the promised time. Finally when the vanity was delivered the cut on the drawers weren't right , meaning 1) they did not take into the consideration that the drawers need to be cut in such that won't get in the way of plumbing 2) the top draw wasn't cut in such that the sink can fit on top of it. Now keep in my that I got both the sink and the vanity from them. My contractor installed the vanity and the sink without the drawers which I was thankful since by then I had to move in and that was my only bathroom. I dealt with the vanity with no drawers for 2 additional weeks until they fixed the drawers. AND at LAST, they never installed the handles on the drawers!!!! So after all that aggravation, frustration and headache and paying $1400 for a 30inch wall mounted vanity, now I have a vanity that's still not complete. I had to go and once AGAIN buy the handles(bc they didn't even give it to me even though I had paid for it) and wait and beg one of my male friends to come and drill and install them. Talk about taking advantage of a single female shopper. I wished I had gone and just purchase a vanity on line for the 1/2 price and much less headache. Such a shame... read more

Disappointing experience with Vanity World in Canton, MA. While the selection of vanities is extensive, and prices are affordable, overall customer experience and order management is a joke. We ordered a vanity, top and sink and was told it would be delivered in 4-8 weeks. After 8 weeks, our vanity came in and was available for pick up in the Canton location. After about 10 weeks our top was in and available for pick up in the Norwood warehouse. I asked for the address of the warehouse via email so I could pick it up and was told it was actually brought to the Canton location now. I went on a Saturday to pick both items up in Canton and was told the top had actually not been delivered and due to the mishap, both items would be delivered free of charge to my house the following Tuesday between 7:30-8am. Shocker, it was not delivered at this time. When I called and asked why it had not been delivered, the same person I dealt with that past Saturday said he had no knowledge of this order being delivered today which is beyond confusing. The "ho hum" attitude about the oversight was beyond annoying. Now, I've been told the delivery is coming tomorrow after 5pm. I'm holding my breath! Customer service is everything. These guys fail. Save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else. read more

We have purchased 2 vanities, counter tops and mirrors from George in the Braintree location. He was very helpful and knowledgable, and really worked with us to accommodate our specific needs. He was very responsive and kept in touch to tell us the status of the order, and answer all our questions. It couldn't have been any better. I purchased a vanity and custom made cabinet from the Braintree store. I did not have any issues with the vanity however, there were several issues with the cabinet resulting in a delay of 3 months on my bathroom renovations and ultimately, returning the cabinet with a 20% restrocking charge. The first issue was a large gouge in the cabinet which we had to point out to them and they then fixed. The cabinet was then delivered to me with spots that were not stained properly and the shelf in the closed cabinet area was not installed. I dealt with George who was apologetic and readily willing to fix the issues. The cabinet was picked up and redelivered to me 2 weeks later....still without the shelf. George had someone come out to measure and cut for a new shelf. We then noticed that there was a large chip in the cabinet where the finish was peeling off. Given the numerous delays and quality issues, I aksed that they take back the cabinet and provide a refund. They offered to try to fix it yet again but I lost all faith that they had the ability to rectify the issue and provide a quality product. Ultimately, I am out a few hundred dollars, 3 months delayed on my bathroom (project was started and stopped as we waited for this) and have now gone with a new company to obtain a cabinet. It also took several attempts for me to get a return phone call to finalize the cabinet return and refund. Product off the shelf (vanity) was fine but the custom work was a nightmare. read more
