Mary Ann contacted the distributor multiple times, and I received, twice, incorrect parts from the distributor. Back in 2017, I did a beautiful gut renovation of my bathroom and bought all the fixtures at Splash Newton - marble sink, glass shower wall with door and transom window, wall drain, steam generator, rain shower, hand shower, heated shower mirror, lighted sink mirror, full length mirrored cabinet, plumbing fixtures, faucets.... It came out beautifully and has been a pleasure to live with. 7 years later all still looks like new. However, one day earlier this year, I had finished my shower and suddenly, one of the tempered glass panels of the shower wall spontaneously shattered and the door fell off in the process. Quite freaky. Fortunately, nobody was harmed. After 7 years, everything was out of warranty so I called Splash to see what would be involved in getting it repaired. Due to the bizarre nature of the failure, Teresa at Splash was able to coordinate with the manufacturer and the installer to get everything replaced and reinstalled at no cost. This was completely unexpected. I was delighted. Now that is what I call taking care of the customer. Well done! read more

When I was re-doing my new home almost 4 years ago, Brandon was fabulous to work for in picking out everything for my kitchen, master bath, powder room and knobs for all my cabinets. He took the time to walk me through everything and the pros and cons. Fast forward to today, my hot/cold water dispenser stopped working and I had to replace along with my Rohl sprayer for the kitchen sink. I called Brandon who immediately put me in touch with Jessica who was fantastic. She contacted me that same day asking for pictures and a description of what the problem was with both items. Within 48 hours, she had a new Rohl sprayer being shipped out to me with a receipt and tracking #. Brandon worked with me to place an order for a new hot/cold water dispenser since it was out of warranty. Immediately Jessica had all the shipping details and followed up the week it was to be delivered to confirm the day and let me know she would not be in the office that day so if there was a problem with the delivery who to contact. I was very impressed with this level of Customer Support. Splash has gone above and beyond each time and I will never go anywhere else for kitchen and bath designing. We have shopped at splash for many years and spent a lot of money there. My wife and I had an appointment to meet with someone to discuss some new faucets. We are 60 year old, well dressed profess. When we arrived, we did not know the name of the person we weee to meet. The receptionist was so aggressive, offensive, and condescending that we turned and left It's hard to believe that a business that prides itself on community involvement and its good name would allow someone to serve at the front desk who has such a terrible personality and is so aggressive. I love working with Brandon at splash! I did a major renovation, and bought everything I needed from splash. The selection of plumbing fixtures, hardware and even light fixtures were fabulous. We were standing at the front desk when we noticed one of the girls a blonde girl was very upset and crying . we started to feel bad and we were going to ask what's wrong until FOUL language came out of her mouth . How in appropriate to behave in front of people . Another associate had the sense to to tell her to be quiet and whisked her out of the building. she must have noticed that we heard the girl so she apologized for this young ladies misbehavior . Someone needs to teach this young lady about manners . My wife was appalled. We were about to walk out but the sales person came to help us and we continued our business. I had a great experience at Splash and with Dianne Matta in particular. I came in with a few ideas and she showed me a lot of options and helped guide me to the best products in my budget. She was with me every step of the way on the renovation of my house in Boston which included three full bathrooms and two half bathrooms. Great advice throughout the process and I don't think I have ever dealt with someone so responsive - it was hard to keep up with Dianne! I called in today to get some information on my order. My salesperson was unable to help me , so they transferred me to a customer service, Where I spoke to Theresa. Theresa is amazing, helpful and welcoming. She sat on the phone with me and went through my entire order, went above and beyond to send me everything that I was asking for quickly. I never received notification that part of the order was delayed until February. I was told when i went into the store in person. AVOID THIS PLACE I bought a bathroom sink, vanity and faucet. Unfortunately, Splash staff did know that the faucet they suggested was no longer made. I found out in looking at accessories. So, back to Splash I had a designer help me select a new faucet. Fast forward, the plumber are here. The faucet won't work with the sink. The bottom lip of the faucet hangs over the ledge of the sink. I called Splash to express mu frustration. All went well at first until a manager from Splash called. He didn't believe me. I handed the phone to the plumber. He didn't believe the plumber. He kept telling me that he was trying to help me. My opinion - he didn't want a mere $388 return. Amazing awful consumer service. So, I am returning the faucet this afternoon and ordering ~ $5K of cabinets - elsewhere. Completely ridiculous! read more

Drove from NORWELL to Newton to look at vanities and other items We were greeted by "please wash your hands and put on gloves" Seriously- did they think we were going to give the bathroom fixtures covid? CDC came out a month ago citing that surfaces do not transmit covid and if I recall correctly our president just advised us that masks are no longer necessary either for vaccinated people indoors or out so why the gloves? Because it's their business and they can require what they want of course. So they lost our business today and we left feeling that there's no end to the non- scientific rules that are out there. But we have a choice to speak up and make a statement to combat the nonsense. There are plenty of showrooms but since we had renovated using Splash in the past it made sense to go back. I bought a Rohl traditional spa shower set from splash, approximately 18 years ago. 2 parts recently broke ( I assume from some water corrosion over the years) I sent Tamara a pic of the 2 parts on Monday of this week. I received a call today from Tamara saying they are covered by warrantee, and the are arriving by fedex tomorrow ..SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO SPLASH, TAMARA. AND ROHL. This type of service is amazing and rarely to be found. I am beyond impressed!!! BTW this showers set also got heavy usage from my 3 kids ( they are all out of the house now) for many years...they preferred the parents bath with the fancy Rohl fixture rather than the one that was in their bath! Let me just say that I have NEVER written a Yelp review but my experience was so terrible I felt compelled to do so. We are remodeling our kitchen and bathroom. Contractor instructed us to go to Splash because that's what they like to use. The contractor said that when we were at Splash, someone there would help guide us in picking out the items we needed and would make a list for the contractor to buy the items later. Drive a distance to go there. Went in and the woman at the desk called a salesperson to come out to assist us. That saleswoman came out and acted annoyed that we needed assistance, as if we had interrupted her. We told her why we were there and what we needed to do. She just led us to a room with faucets and said what do you want. I think we must have looked confused because she then said with an attitude "well do you like modern or traditional?" I wasn't quite sure what that even meant in the context of kitchen and bathroom fixtures so we probably still looked confused but she just stood there and stared waiting for us to pick a faucet.. She also complained that we didn't bring measurements. We were a bit dumbfounded because we thought she might explain the layout of the showroom, where we could find items, what the different finishes were, what different styles there were, price ranges (there are no prices shown in the showroom that I could tell) and . . . you know, actually be helpful and give us a bit of guidance. It was very awkward and we weren't sure why she wasn't helping us so my husband asked if we could have just a few moments alone to chat and then we could reconvene. (Given her behavior, we were puzzled about how to handle the situation and needed to regroup with each other.) She said sure. Never saw her again. She left the floor without a word. I worked with Jerry Lawler of Splash recently on a bathroom renovation. I can't say enough how helpful, detail-orientated and professional Jerry was. What a pleasure working with him. He really made the process so easy, despite admittedly a number of idea changes on my part. I didn't have a contractor for my project, so Jerry was very helpful in suggesting options and details from his experience that I should be concerned with. And the selection and quality of sinks and faucets was perfect for my project - and the pricing was very reasonable. Can't recommend Splash enough! Our contractor referred us to Splash as he buys most of his client's products there. We went in to look at products, pick out some things, and get pricing. Upon entering, we got the DIRTIEST looks from the front desk staff. Not to mention they weren't wearing masks (even though Newton has a mask mandate) and then one put on a mask as we walked up and seemed SO bothered that she had to do that. They seemed bothered we were breathing their air. After getting one of their attention, she called for a sales associate to help us. The sales associate was nice, but useless. We wanted to know tubs that would fit our specific dimensions and she just wandered around the store with a yard stick measuring tubs and saying "oh no this is too small or big". I could have done that. She also seemed bothered to have to walk around with us. Eventually we said thank you and just looked around ourselves. What I needed was for her to tell me exactly what tubs they sell that fit our criteria - I didn't care if they had a show model or not, I just needed the information on what brands and models would work. Also, we mentioned to the sales associate that we were doing a full bathroom remodel and she didn't even offer to show us fixtures, vanities, toilets, etc. Talk about lazy sales people. While looking at shower fixtures, one of the sales associates kept walking past and giving dirty looks at us as if we were offending her for even being in the store. WORST customer service ever. Needless to say we will be instructing our contractor to buy product at a different store. Avoid this store unless you know exactly what you want and just go in to order it because the customer service is LACKING. read more

Don't buy this faucet- KWC Lune E. It is cheap quality and the faucet hose does not work well. The faucet handle delaminated (it's plastic wrapped with a metallic plastic sheet) after a few months from installation. We bought it from Splash in Newton and the salesperson was no help- said we needed to reach out directly to the manufacturer. KWC sent us a new one but we had to pay for the reinstallation. Still not happy with this faucet- see photo & video- when extending the hose and bending it, the water stream gets cut off. Unfortunately, Splash did not have a working sample, so we did not know. I do not recommend this faucet at all but we are stuck with it. read more

Fifteen years ago I spent over $100,000 on a bathroom and bedroom. Tried to do business with Splash for the project. I was treated so poorly I said I'd never return In September I gave them another try. Told the sales person what we wanted. She took our email address; promised to get us pricing. The showroom is nice and the consultants are knowledgeable when you're walking around with them. They know basically every product out there and couldn't be nicer, but I worked with two people and the follow up COULD NOT BE WORSE. I had two experiences: 1. Buying a single part. The lady wanted to get out of there at store closing so she didn't order the part (which was time sensitive) while I was in the store. I didn't get an email the next day to follow up so I called and emailed. No response. Followed up again. No response. When I finally just asked the person who picks up the phone to help me, they informed me that the order didn't get submitted and it would take a few weeks. 2. Buying two whole bathroom setups. Helped me pick parts. Wrote it down on a piece of paper. Said they'd send a quote to me on Monday (I went on a Saturday) and ran off to help a client with an appointment. Didn't hear back Monday - called and emailed, no response. Didn't hear back Tuesday - called and emailed, no response. Asked them to find someone, anyone else to help me. They did what they could on the phone but then their shift was over so then said, your original guy will call you because he's still working for two more hours. Guess what? No word at all, and when I called again, they said he wasn't available. I said, if he wants the business, he has to reach out to me - if I don't hear back, I'll assume they don't want the sale. Needless to say, I'm not holding my breath. My takeaway is - only work with them if you think you can pin them down and get everything you need in the 30-40 min interaction you have with them in the store - any follow up is hopeless and an utter waste of time. Contrast this to Ferguson up the street who literally created an e-quote for me on the spot and replied to my follow up email the next day. I have to wonder if Splash wants to get your business at all if this is their idea of sales - I was ready to buy on both occasions but now my business is lost forever. They're not the only game in town so if you're shopping, look elsewhere. read more

I visited this showroom on a rainy day back in the fall. I was barely greeted upon entering, perhaps because I was dressed in yoga pants and a raincoat. I spent quite a bit of time trying out many of the faucets and showers, which was a great experience. After about 45 minutes a woman approached me and asked if I needed help. She then sent a saleswoman to help me. I explained that I needed items for two bathrooms, including grab bars. I showed her what I was interested in pricing out and said wanted different finishes for both bathrooms. She told me that I was better off with the chrome finish because it's less expensive. I told her that I was not interested in chrome for either bathroom. She kept insisting that chrome would be a better choice because it was less expensive. At this point she was so insistent on my purchasing the chrome that even if I wanted chrome I would have chosen something different. I inquired about a certain mirror and her response was, "That's very expensive." Now I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. When I ask for a price, let me determine what is expensive or not. After spending another 1/2 hour with this salesperson, she took my contact information and said she would sent me a quote for the items I wanted. Said quote was never received. In the words of Julia Roberts, "Big mistake!" I took my business elsewhere. read more

I thought maybe I should give this place a shot because there were only two reviews and because my parents had bought a few pieces from them (years ago) without any issues. But, BOY WAS I WRONG. I was considering ordering 2 sinks, 2 faucets, 1 shower head and a vanity from here. Since I was able to find better prices on all of the pieces for my first bathroom cheaper elsewhere, I only ordered the vanity. I'm sooo glad I didn't get anything else from them. I ordered in August for supposed delivery in September. I was told twice that "it was on the truck for delivery" when I called to check on the order status. It's October, and I still have not seen this piece. My project is at a complete standstill while I wait for this thing to arrive. I haven't seen my contractor for two weeks while we've been waiting for it to arrive. Hey, at least they are claiming to comp me the $75 delivery charge...but I'll definitely be checking my credit card. Wish I had read the other reviews before wasting my time and money at Splash. The showroom is good enough if you want to look at moderate to high-end bathroom stuff, but the sales and delivery parts of the business are awful. Over 3 visits, I ordered about $2000 worth of bathroom fittings, and I was made to feel like a total time-waster/bottom-fisher. The salesperson seemed like she couldn't wait to get on to something more interesting or lucrative. She was always in a rush and never interested in showing us more than 2 or 3 possible items. I left after the 3rd visit determined to shop elsewhere, but also having found a faucet that I really liked and which I could not find anywhere else. So, against my better judgement, I ordered it from Splash. We stated that we needed it in a couple of weeks. The salesperson was confident that this would be no problem. 2 weeks later, having heard nothing, I called back to be told the piece was backordered. Apparently it wasn't worth a phone call to tell me this. At this point I wasn't going to get a faucet in time to complete the bathroom renovation that was underway, so I started shopping around for alternatives. I ended up at Monique's Bath Showroom in Watertown, which seems so far to be a much more helpful place, at least for people spending less than 5 figures on their bathroom fittings. read more

I went in last Saturday and spent about 45 minutes with Mike. He took down all the items (Faucet/shower purchases) I needed. He said he'd quickly send me a quote. By Wednesday, I had not heard from him and called Splash. They said the quote can take time and they would get to Mike and tell him to get it out. On Saturday, no word from Mike. I called again and asked for the name of the person I worked with in the past--which I should have done to begin with (!) I think she (Maryanne) was out that afternoon. Anyway, when I spoke to her I couldn't recall the exact items and asked that she check his notes/files. He had never even put in a quote. Anyway, not impressed with Mike and his follow-up. I don't do many reviews, but felt I should after seeing so many negative reviews and after having my own great experience. My project was a basic bathroom reno. I was looking for a bathtub, vanity faucet, and shower hardware. Yes you do have to talk to someone (this isn't Home Depot) to get pricing and product availability. But the woman who handled me was very easy going and was extremely helpful with options and budget. Prices were competitive and lower than another nearby showroom. But the great service didn't end there. I also needed the tub within a couple days and because I was working with a contractor they not only gave me trade pricing but included free delivery the next day. Splash's customer service team was very good as well. When the plumber was installing the shower valve he couldn't find one screw. So I called splash and left a message and they got back to me to tell me that they contacted Kohler and a complete set of screws were on their way to my address. I have to give Splash 5 stars because we have never had trouble with them! Always had good communication with our sales lady/designer, and we've always been pleased with our purchases there. Why someone would not shop there because they were required to wash their hands and wear gloves ( seriously? That's a problem??) considering how many people touch things in the showroom ( gloves are no longer required, FYI), is beyond me. We were glad to follow their rules when there.
