Our beautiful new kitchen is a constant source of joy. It's beautiful. It's highly functional. It's a source of gratitude and happiness. We had long wanted a new kitchen. Earlier in the year, we had gotten a price from an independent kitchen designer. The price was horrifying. Nearly impossible. I had followed a friend's kitchen renovation on Facebook. Deb invited us to tour the finished room and to explore the many clever features. We promptly booked her designer, Steve Marchese. His design plan sold us. His guidance through many options and his spot-on advice were spectacular. The proposed cost and the final cost of the project were half of the cost from that first designer. Norfolk delivered for their cost estimate. Spot on! Dan Neeland, our project manager was superb. All of the sub contractors arrived oin schedule. They were all polite, professional and a pleasure to have in our home. At he end of the day, all crews left the work area clean and neat, The project finished on schedule. Horrible experience overall. We went with Norfolk based on a referral from a friend who's husband works as a cabinet / installer. From start to finish, nothing but trouble. First, our designer lost the design plans and tried to cover it up. This caused us to have to try to re-remember items that we had discussed prior. For example, we asked for no spice rack, then we get a spice rack, so we then had to improvise once the project was underway. Completely incompetant...no apologies, and our designer clearly didn't listen the first time, take notes, and honestly just didn't care at all about us. We should have known then, next time we will just walk away..... Next, our contracter was a complete joke. Never inspected the site for follow up / punch list items. Eletrical and Floor contracters were sub par, we still have a light switch that doesn't work properly. They destroyed our dining room floors relocating our refridgerator, with no full repair, just a touch up that looks like crap. They also damaged our mudroom floor and apparently have no idea how to fix what they broke, so I now have a gap in my floor that has never been addressed. Lastly, they never finished the final revisions to the trim. I told this clown several times what we needed to tidy up on, and several times never receieved follow up. In other cases, he did not properly relay instructrions to the sub contractors, so twice we had cabinet / trim people show up without the necessary materials to tidy up. The cabinent / trim guys were the only bright spot in an otherwise horrible experience. I truly felt bad for Bud and Shawn as their time was wasted by our General Contractor. As it stands now, almost 6 months since we were suppossed to be "complete" and zero follow up. I am embarrased to have people show up with incomplete instructions, and our general contractor has not visited the kitchen to address anyting since NOVEMBER of last year. Do not go with this place, over budget, zero follow up, horrible design team, bad sub contractors. Complete waste of time, and we never got the satisfaction of a final, complete, project.... read more

All I can say is that the job isn't even completed, and I cannot wait to see these people for the last time. Remodeling a large kitchen, and the process has been a nightmare from the beginning. The GC is a joke, when he bothers to show up or respond, and the only response to issues is to blame us. The schedule is a joke, delays in delivery, house sitting empty for weeks, and the fact that they literally want all of their money before the job is even complete. At this point, we just want this torture over with, and would never use or recommend them. Weve got two bathrooms to remodel but it won't be with them. Oh forgot the best part-when you reach out to the general manager who emailed asking if there was anything that he could do, you get gaslit. Apparently it's our fault that they're incompetent. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want to learn a very expensive lesson like we are. read more

Worst experience ever! I went to Norfolk when I decided to renovate my kitchen. The experience began well enough with a conversation on scope and timing of the project. Once I found the cabinets, handles, countertop, and backsplash, the order was placed. Prior to the order, measurements were taken by the sales consultant at Norfolk. This is where the trouble began. Despite measurements being correct, the sales consultant never considered the measurements from my Kitchen window which served as the focal point of the room. Cabinets took 3 weeks to arrive and when my contractors began placing them according to the drawings, 4 did not fit and the 5th came in damaged. Needless to say I was not happy as this should not have happened. When I called the store, no one picked up my call, prompting me to have to drive to the store. When I informed her of the error, she immediately tried to deflect the error to the contractors asking them if they were placed in the correct locations. After approximately 1 hour of trying to reconfigure the plans on her computer to fit the cabinets that arrived, she relented and came to see in-person. Her response to me was, "I don't know how this happened", this has never happened to me before. Who cares! Now we need to reorder cabinets, which was scheduled for another 3 weeks. Needless to say, I was pissed that I needed to wait another 3 weeks for replacements to come in. When I asked if they could be rushed, I was immediately told no, without the benefit of picking up the phone. I let her know I was not happy, and I got the best customer service response ever, "I know it sucks to be without a kitchen for another 3 weeks". Well as luck would have it, the cabinets arrived one week later than the promised delivery date. The remaining cabinets were then installed, and it came time to install the handles. Well, I did not have the right sizes for all of the cabinets. When asked if I could exchange unopened one's for what I needed, again I was told no, but we can order replacements (out of pocket expense). I asked about the time for those to arrive. Guess what? Another 3 weeks, so I had to locate on-line and purchase myself. I would never use this place again, nor suggest anyone else use them in the future. read more

Very bad experience working with NKB on a small kitchen and bath remodel. We originally discussed the work being in the mid 50s. I was assured they could work with my budget but then increased the labor charge by 95% when they presented the contract bringing the job up to $86k. I Found out my salesperson was no longer working with them through an out of office message. When I contacted the new salesperson and the regional manager I was told that they could/would not adjust the labor charges at all and that they could do just one of the two rooms for around $59k. They still offered to sell me materials (marked up 200%) to which I laughed. I wasted a lot of time with them. Beware!! read more

In 2024 we had our 2 bathrooms updated. Spent close to $100K. The end result was very nice, but the process was beyond brutal. Our primary issue was our PM who took every single complaint like a personal attack and by the end was clearly avoiding contact with us. We had issues with design, material order, scheduling, installation, and communication. The project, which was scheduled to take 2 months, ended up taking more than 3 months due to material/schedule delays that Norfolk was 100% responsible for screwing up. Almost every single issue that came up was discovered by me first. By the middle of this project I was checking on absolutely everything every single day. I became the person running this project and that is exactly what I didn't want to do. I would never, ever recommend Norfolk nor would ever use them again. If you do go with Norfolk, here are a few recommendations: 1. Do not trust the design dwgs they give you in the beginning. Turns out the wet wall (shower valve wall layout) is not intended to be accurate. We found that out the hard way when it was actually built wrong by the plumber and our designer admitted the dwg is just a generic representation. 2. Do not let Norfolk start the project if they don't have all material on site. We had backordered material that they didn't track/forgot and it turned into a nightmare. When your material arrives, double-check that everything is there on your own. 3. Be careful with your PM. Pick wisely. 4. Personally check the work progress as often as possible to make sure there are no issues. 5. Don't expect the schedule to be correct. Even if you verify the night before. Several times I stayed home from work for someone to be here the following day. When nobody showed and I asked about it, I was told things changed. They didn't care about my time and the fact that I actually had a job too. Good luck. read more

Tiff's patience, aesthetic vision and remarkable efficiency kept us on track as she thoughtfully guided us through the many decisions required. She knew exactly when to introduce estimator Chris Meehan, whose expertise and seamless collaboration with Tiff helped address the many details necessary for a smooth construction process. We would never hesitate to work with Tiff again. Project Manager, Dan Neeland's great team of carpenters including Harry, Daniel and Rez were respectful, friendly and highly skilled. They worked particularly well together and came up with excellent solutions for issues that inevitably arise with renovations. We're thoroughly enjoying our new, beautifully designed and functional kitchen, and highly recommend working with Tiff Clarke and the Norfolk Kitchen & Bath team. read more

Kate was easy to work with and she has a good eye for design. She was readily available to me when I needed guidance. I appreciated the contractors schedule so that I could see what was happening every single day of the project. Communication with the project manager was very good and the bathroom project was finished relatively on time. When we came to Norfolk Kitchen and Bath while six months pregnant with our first child, we realized we were asking a lot embarking on a kitchen renovation with such a tight deadline. Our designer Ann Marie was phenomenal and worked within our budget to ensure our needs were met without sacrificing quality or aesthetics. Our initial project manager Andy retired early into our renovation but Dan, Chris and team jumped in seamlessly and were outstanding at keeping us in the loop on progress while keeping everything moving. As any issues arose, the NK&B team was quick to resolve them. I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everyone I interacted with was vey knowledgeable, attentive to my needs, very courteous. Katie, patiently designed the kitchen exactly as I wanted it. Bryan, then Dan, the project managers were instantly ready to answer all my questions. All the craftsmen were perfect. The kitchen was isolated from the rest of the house with floor to ceiling plastic sheet, so no dust everywhere. The work in the kitchen was done very cleanly. I am very pleased with my new kitchen . I will not hesitate to ask Norfolk to renovate the bathrooms when the time will come. read more

Update - To their credit Norfolk Kitchen and Bath worked hard to turn the situation around. Ours was not a normal remodel not in terms of scope of work, but rather in terms of multiple curve balls outside of the norm, much of which were with Norfolk's sub-contractors. Cabinets arriving damaged, electrician that created as many problems as he solved, and a plumber who passed away once our job was underway, may he rest in peace. Every time we hit a problem we though what else can happen and shortly after something else did. Both our project manager and designer were great to work with. Nothing seemed to phase them, they just worked hard behind the scenes to fix it whenever issues popped up, and there were a lot of unforeseen issues. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because of their electrical subcontractor. He walked off the job multiple times, they fired him off the job only to call him back to finish it because they didn't want to pull a new permit. We had multiple electrical issues that kept tripping circuit breakers, first with the refrigerator, then with the under cabinet lights and then with the garbage disposal. We were happy when the project was finally finished after almost 8 months until the first cold night when we discovered we had no electric heat in the bedroom. The electrician disconnected the circuit to use it for the kitchen. We had to call in another electrician at our expense to fix his mistake! Nonetheless, we have a beautiful kitchen and the quality of the carpentry work was exceptional. read more

My husband and I worked with Stephen Marchese at the Framingham location and could not of had a better experience, he truly is one of a kind! We finally have the kitchen we have alwalys dreamed of. I work in the commercial construction industry but had never designed my own kitchen and Stephen walked me through every step of the process to ensure no detail was missed. Stephen met with us at our home on multiple occasions during the design process to measure, layout and review the design in our space to make sure it was exactly what we were envisioning. We ordered the cabinets prior to demoing the old kitchen and a large dividing wall, so of course we found several "surprises" and one of them was a hidden fire wall! Stephen came right out and came up with a design to work this surprise into our new kitchen. He went back to his office and drew up a hand sketch to show me exactly what he was thinking and, in the end, it came out perfectly. He really listened to how we use our kitchen on a daily basis and reviewed each cabinet, piece of hardware and additional options in detail to ensure that we knew exactly what we were getting and that it would function the way we intended. He was great in helping me with picking the finishes for the cabinets and the hardware. I can't make a decision to save my life and once he met with us, he knew our style and was able to suggest beautiful colors for the kitchen. We ended up picking Hale Navy for the island and Heron Plume for the base and wall cabinets. He offered great advice on the appliances, lighting, countertops, backsplash, window trim and everything in between. When our installer had questions as they all do, Stephen was readily available to come out and assist him. I waited many years to finally build our dream kitchen and I can't think of one thing we would have done differently and I credit all of the success to Stephen and his wealth of knowledge in designing kitchens. I honestly can't say enough good things about Stephen and Norfolk as a company. Everyone that has walked in our house since the kitchen was installed has been "wowed"! We went there today to look products for a bathroom remodel. There is absolutely no customer service at the store. Nobody tried to help us and we tracked someone down who didn't tell us anything about the vanity we were interested in .She couldn't be bothered to look up the price and only gave perfunctory answers to our questions. She sent us to another floor to look at door designs and samples and again nobody looked up or bothered to help us. We left the store and will shop elsewhere read more

We had a poor experience with Norfolk in Framingham. After a few weeks of working out a design, plans, price and a deposit with Jess Katinas (who is great), the management called me to tell me my job is not big enough for them ($25k). This is after we had an initial discussion that this is not a complete kitchen refurbish job (ie, not all new cabinets, mostly refinish existing) and they accepted. I do not recommend Norfolk due to their management being selective of what jobs they will take on, which ones are too small for them and letting their customer down in the long run (plus wasting everyone's time). They proved they only want the big jobs/big money; greed got to them. Look elsewhere. read more

We had the pleasure of working with Anne Marie and she was incredibly helpful with the design and logistics. Anne Marie is incredibly knowledgeable about kitchen design but also about all of the suppliers and products. We thought we knew what we wanted, but Anne Marie was able to provide us with so much inspiration and detail that made all the difference in our kitchen. When we were indecisive, Anne Marie was able to meet with us in person multiple times and she was very responsive via email/phone calls. I had a great experience with Norfolk. Scott Bobrick, our designer was amazing. His design was inspired and he delivered a kitchen we didn't think was possible. He came up with ideas we never could have imagined. He was responsive to all of my annoying emails and questions and when I made adjustments, he took it in stride. It was obvious he really cared about our project. Our project manager, Sam Bahnam, was also wonderful. His positive attitude and communication made the experience a good one. And he did whatever it took to make us happy and to remedy any issues. Having someone like Sam manage the details was why we went with Norfolk, and I don't regret it one bit. Additionally, all of the outside vendors (plumber, painter, tiler, electrician) they used were also terrific and I would hire any of them again. They came when scheduled and worked efficiently. The only kinks that needed working out were some (not all) of the NKB team of construction workers. They really made the job take longer than necessary and beat up my kitchen and cabinets (which were later fixed). Hopefully with more experience and clearer direction they will do better work in the future. Overall, I love my kitchen and would use Norfolk again! read more

Our designer (Jess K) was terrific. She listened to the top features we wanted and to our complaints about our current kitchen. She quickly sent us designs and then worked with us to choose the flooring, cabinets, tile and counters. Due to supply chain issues, the tile was not available and she worked with us to find a suitable replacement that worked out even better! We love our new kitchen and would recommend Jess. Customer service was very helpful when some of our pieces did not arrive in a delivery. We began discussions in late June and had a working kitchen in early December even with supply issues. read more
