The quality of the doors he ordered and his workmanship at installation was without fault. In addition to being highly skilled, Andre cares about the client. We bought a fridge that was too big for the space. He took the time to raise the above refrigerator cabinet and to rebuild the nearby drawer. These are not glamorous jobs, but he exemplified the same attention to detail that he had on our previous project. I am extremely grateful to Andre for taking time to complete this project. He is a consummate professional - an expert problem-solver, reliable, and trustworthy.

My husband and I have been remodeling an old two family for the past two years and of all the contractors we've hired, Richard was by far the best. He's responsive, replies to text and email, and keeps you updated on the progress of the project. He did our whole kitchen cabinet set, our bathroom vanity and installed a very oddly shaped back door. Throughout the whole process, I trusted him in my home and that he would finish the job. Anyone looking for new cabinets, big or small projects, I can't recommend Richard Gray enough.

We found Richard to be a consummate professional from the beginning and throughout the entire process. He worked with us to understand the design aesthetic we were looking to achieve, and helped us choose wood and finishes which would most effectively complement the design. His measurements and fittings were impeccable. Once the design was chosen and the construction began (off site at Richard's workshop), Richard was excellent at keeping us updated as to how the project was proceeding and what our timetable was looking like. When it came time for installation (about a week), all of the components arrived and were put expertly (and neatly so) into place. The result is a beautiful, high-end built-in unit which looks great in our home. We could not be happier with the result of this project. I would not hesitate to recommend Richard Gray for any carpentry project and we expect to be calling upon Richard for other carpentry needs we will have.

The quality is much better than the semi-custom made-to-order delivery options. He prefers to deliver and work closer to his place so he can do measurements himself. I'd use him again!

We have a very small bathroom…read moreand the available styles and sizes of vanities at Home Depot didn't match what we wanted, so I reached out to Mike, he came over to take a look, and provided a quote for the work. Building a custom vanity was a little more expensive, but we got so much more for what we paid. I selected Mike in part because when he came to look at the configuration of my existing vanity and plumbing, he had a clearer vision that he articulated for how he could build and install the vanity, and what the options were given the positioning of the plumbing. The other contractors I had come and look didn't mention the relationship between the dimensions of the drawers and open space and the existing plumbing in the wall. We also asked Mike if it would be possible to build a pull out step under the vanity that our 1.5 year old daughter could use to step up and use the sink (probably when she gets to be 2 years old or so). He explained his vision for that and it was perfect. Mike also built the style of the doors and drawers to match a style we had seen, and as you'll see in the pictures, it looks amazing. Mike was super easy to work with, very responsive, and provided a documented design spec that he sent to me for approval (which we made a few tweaks to). He delivered the piece on time and was flexible with his schedule in matching to mine to install it. He expected half of the price of the piece as a down payment, very reasonable, and received the rest upon delivery and installation. I ordered the vanity top custom from home depot and I selected the handles I wanted Mike to install. He used the top to ensure that the piece he built would conform to fit. I also ordered the tread for the step after brainstorming ideas with Mike. I personally removed the old vanity and disconnected the old plumbing, but that could be done by a plumber as well. Mike installed the new vanity against the wall, and I had my plumber connect the plumbing to the new faucet we bought after Mike had left. Overall, I can't recommend Mike highly enough. He is professional, creative, responsible, and I can tell he takes pride in his work. Thank you Mike, we are already enjoying the transformation to our bathroom that you helped make possible!

I hired KAC to do a bathroom remodel on my first floor and a new shower in my upstairs bathroom…read more They did a BEAUTIFUL job and were great to work with. The subcontracters were professional and easy to deal with . The project manager was great. It took a lot longer than I had hoped but all in all I was very happy. However, it turns out that they do not stand by their work. Months after the job was done, the drywall around my first floor shower started to crumble. I sent Kevin photos. Without coming to see it, he "diagnosed" the problem - that water was getting in between the bathtub and tub enclosure and damaging the wall. He said it was a common problem with tub enclosures and he could fix it for $1500. I said ok and he had his project manager Dave come to look at it. It was only then that we realized that was NOT the problem. When the bathroom was done they had left the round metal part that the shower handle is attached to ungrouted. It was loose and would spin around. I asked the plumber about it when he did the bathtub and shower install and he said "its fine". I didn't question it because he ALSO left it the same way on the upstairs shower. I thought that probably the pipe behind it was fully grouted so that water could go behind the round part but would not permeate behind the tub enclosure. So anyway Dave realized quickly that water was going behind the round part, into where the pipes were and behind the tub enclosure. That was what was causing the damage; the job had been not fully completed. The fixture should have been grouted. He assured me that I would not need to pay for repairs to the wall. I asked Kevin to schedule a repair and he insisted on payment, as we had agreed before. But that agreement was before we realized that the entire problem was caused by his subcontractors not finishing the job in the first place.

Our experience has been a…read morenightmare of deceptive marketing and a total lack of accountability. The Major Issues: - Inconsistent Corrections: While the company initially corrected a few errors, they have flat-out refused to fix the remaining sizing mistakes, leaving us with a kitchen that simply doesn't fit together as promised. - Reneging on Refunds: At one point, they offered a 50% refund, a clear admission that they were at fault, only to withdraw the offer later. This level of unprofessionalism is staggering. - Deceptive Materials: We were led to believe we were purchasing "eco-friendly" wood. In reality, the material is veneered particle board. This was never disclosed to us during the sale. - Toxic Odor: Despite their "eco-friendly" claims, the cabinets emit a heavy formaldehyde smell. It has been nearly a year, and the chemical off-gassing still hasn't dissipated, raising serious health concerns. Bottom Line: Don't be fooled by their "eco-friendly" branding. You'll likely end up with off-gassing materials and a company that plays games with your money. Save yourself the stress and find a reputable provider who stands by their word.
