My parents used this company for their roofing as well and also had a great experience - which is why I picked them in the first place. Pros: - Truly professional engagement from start to finish. - Best price of the vendor's we had price the job. - Job actually completed in the time they said it would (2 days). I've rarely had that happen! - Workmen were professional. Often times there's a substantial gulf between the professionalism of the owner who comes to price the job and the guys actually doing the work. Not the case with this company. The workmen were equally professional, worked hard, and did outstanding work -- attending well even to the small details e.g. clean-up after the job. Cons: - No email, which is a bit odd in the 21st century. Summary: I only wish it were this easy to work with every company that does residential work. Here's the url: http://www.scottssiding.com/

I then had a door replaced, two storm doors installed, and some decking replaced and again, the work was done with great attention to detail, they worked all day to get it done and cleaned everything up. In my 30 years of hiring contractors I've never had one come to me after the fact and expect me to pay 50% more than we agreed. My partner and I first discovered Cody Cutler Carpentry through the CJC custom carpentry website,…read moreand after reading about Cody's services and seeing photos of his work, we immediately had the sense that his craftsmanship would be exceptional. From the moment we booked an in-home consultation and met with Cody, that impression was confirmed. What stood out most was how knowledgeable, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate he is about his craft. We wanted to add wainscoting to our living room and office area, and Cody took the time to walk us through our options, bring samples, and really understand our vision for the spaces. He listened carefully, offered excellent suggestions, and helped us feel confident about the direction of the project. He also set clear expectations about the work involved and the timeline, which we truly appreciated. We provided Cody with a key so he could work while we were away, we came home excited to see the progress and every time, we were impressed. Cody completed the project with an incredible level of precision and care. The wainscoting is beautiful, and his attention to detail shows in every part of the finished space. His suggestions were top-tier, and we could not be happier with the result. Beyond the quality of his work, Cody was professional, timely, tidy, respectful, trustworthy and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. He has such a kind and calming presence, and we felt completely comfortable and at ease having him in our home. We highly recommend Cody Cutler Carpentry without hesitation. Cody did an outstanding job, and we are already looking forward to having him complete another project in our home.

We needed a complete redo of our old, outdated, ugly basement: complete demolition out to the…read morefoundation and installation of new framing, insulation, walls, stairs, flooring, plumbing, lighting, stairs and more in our nearly 100 year-old-house. Cody (owner of CJC) came highly recommended by a painting contractor we trust so we asked him to come out to have a look, discuss a plan, and provide an estimate. He listened to our needs (focusing on providing a "blank canvas" for new buyers when we sell the house in a few years) and came up with a plan and budget that were spot-on, no "up-selling". Cody is primarily a designer and master carpenter, but he works with a close-knit group of high quality tradespeople, including electricians, plumbers, plasterers, painters, with whom he's worked for years, so you get the complete package when you hire him. He took care of the demolition, installation of new framing and a new floor, then project managed the work while the other folks did their work (there was a LOT of it). After the infrastructure work was done, Cody resumed working in his specialities, making sure that everything that was done previously was done properly. Through the entire process Cody and everyone he brought into the project did the highest quality work and were diligent and courteous at every turn. Having part of your home redone can be a pain in the neck, but I can honestly say that I enjoyed meeting everyone who worked on our basement, most especially Cody. Even our cat got to be good friends with Cody and his crew, going down to observe what was happening and get a few pats. That may sound silly, but I think it's a good indication of just what a decent person Cody is, in addition to being outstanding at his craft. We are contemplating a few more projects on our old house and you can bet that Cody will be the first person we contact.

Ozzie did so much more than just the floors for us. Every time we mentioned another project, he quickly would say "we do that", and indeed he and his workers not only did the work, but did it quickly, with high quality, great communication, timeliness and of course a great price. Just to summarize what they did: 1) Sanded, stained and new poly on all of the wood floors (a lot of square footage). We did provincial stain with satin finish poly and they are gorgeous. 2) complete interior painting of all walls, ceiling, trim, doors, closets 3) sanded and refinished the kitchen cabinets to make the tired old wood cabinets have a completely new life.. (this is an incredible option to quickly and inexpensively give your old kitchen a completely new feel). He used a different white enamel and removed all the knobs and hinges and then reattached everything for a very custom look. He also did the same for the first floor bathroom and it looks AMAZING. 4) put down new slate tile in the kitchen and bathroom (previously was older linoleum). The dark grey natural stone looks beautiful with the white counters and new paint job. 5) installed new backsplash subway tile. Overall we could not be happier. His price was. Fantastic, and Ozzie is a genuinely good guy with a great crew. We will absolutely continue to work with him on future projects and have recommended him to my brother and fiends already.
