Sergio is smart, honest, hard working, a good problem solver, and really listened to us about what we wanted, even when we changed our minds about details along the way. His team did fantastic work, and he took care of all of the aspects of the construction for us (plumber, electrician, tile work, glass work, painting, etc). All of his employees were trustworthy and considerate. The scope of the project was converting our second floor into 3 rooms plus a bathroom. Sergio did a great job of offering good ideas for layout, materials, etc, but also being very responsive to our ideas and feedback. He stayed in regular contact throughout the whole job, stopping by regularly, and finished the work very close to the original timeline (he said around 2 months, and it might've been 2.5 months, but we also added on a couple little things to the project). He also stayed on budget! We loved working with him so much that we immediately hired him to overhaul our basement, which is a slightly bigger project, and he's started on that already. I very highly recommend Sergio!

At first he accused me of lying, even after his workers heard the crash and came up to see what happened. He then agreed to come back, telling me week after week he would be back. Not only has he not shown up, but he's now blowing off the condo owner downstairs who even offered to pay extra! Too bad she already paid him in full. He'll never be back. BEWARE of this guy. Any decent builder would fix the damage they caused in neighboring units, ESPECIALLY for something minor like a shelf!!!

We consulted with several contractors and ultimately settled on BBC due to the competitive price, references, and availability. We worked with Eduardo and his team throughout the duration of the project. We are very happy with the outcome. The Quote & Final Price. Of those we contacted, BBC took the least amount of time to get us a quote. The quote was also the most detailed of the ones we received. Eduardo included renderings of the island remodel and surrounding space as well as a detailed breakdown of materials and labor. The quoted price was very competitive -- it was among the lowest. BBC completed the project for the quoted price in spite of a few unexpected complications we encountered along the way. Quality of work. We are extremely happy with the quality of the work performed. We were very up front about certain key requirements going into the project and Eduardo did a very good job making sure to adhere to them. For example, we wanted to make sure the island cabinetry matched our older, discontinued, cabinetry. Eduardo was able to match our own cabinets very closely without impacting the price. We also had a number of other very specific requirements regarding cabinetry arrangement and Eduardo stuck to it perfectly. We got what we asked for. Communication and experience. Eduardo and his crew kept the dialogue going throughout the project. We spoke regularly via telephone, email, and text message. They listened to our questions and concerns along the way and made adjustments based on our input. They were very good at explaining when certain things made sense and when they didn't. Eduardo and his team were not afraid to speak up when they thought their input would lead to a better result. For example, Eduardo and one of his team members (Daniel) had some suggestions about how to cut the granite to wrap around some steam pipes adjacent to the island. This resulted in a much better finished appearance and the additional cost was negligible. We are glad we listened to their suggestions as the final result is better than we had expected. We had a great experience with BBC and would use them again. We recommend them for anyone considering any type of project for their home.

From the start, their estimate was the most reasonable compared to several other contractors we brought in, which made the decision easier. I also really appreciated that they were willing to work with me to fit the project into my budget without cutting corners on the overall quality. The quality of the work was solid across the board. They rebuilt and finished the space exactly as discussed, and everything I asked for was addressed. What really stood out to me, though, was their professionalism throughout the project. Communication was consistent and responsive, and they were reliable--something that, in my experience, isn't always a given with contractors. They also worked steadily without long gaps, which helped keep the project moving and largely on schedule. That made a big difference in minimizing disruption. Overall, I'm very happy with how the project turned out and would definitely recommend them to others looking for a dependable general contractor.
