Given our unique set up, I reached about to Carlos for guidance on replacing this appliance and he was able to help us in both the planning and execution of this small kitchen project. His expert team was able to get this installation done in a day, even when it required more work than we originally planned. Throughout the process he was highly professional, communicated with me regularly, and made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend Carlos & Alcantara Contractor for any general contracting needs!

We were so impressed with their services that we asked to work with them for some additional work after the initial project was completed. The project involved redoing our kitchen and bathroom. We used a 3rd party to design and purchase the items through them and relied on Marcelino and his team to demo and install the new fixtures, cabinets and appliances! Although there were hiccups along the way (something to expect when it comes to any renovation work), Marcelino ensured that issues were had were addressed promptly. Marcelino was upfront during our initial walkthrough quote and gave an accurate timeframe when the project could be completed. The second phase involved the installation of some recessed lights which was completed within 1-2 weeks. Very happy with the results! There were some minor issues after the project's completion but after mentioning these concerns Marcelino had his team stop by our place with a very quick turnaround time to address our concerns. Overall Marcelino and his team were professional and respectful of our property (made sure to cover our exposed furniture during the painting/demolition phases). Their price was also reasonable for the Boston area. I would strongly recommend Alcantara for any renovation projects you may have! We would use them again for any future projects we may have planned.

I've waited more than a year to post this, and I apologize to anyone who has been scammed by Bruno…read morein the meantime. Bruno may not mean to scam you, but he will take your money and then do nothing for months. He will not apply for permits, and he will tell you your town/city is the problem. He will blame every delay or broken promise on circumstances outside of his own control. During that time, he will use your money to finish his other projects or (probably) pay his other bills. If you ask for your money back, he will tell you he has bought materials but never provide any proof. If you call Bruno out for his poor performance, he will gaslight you and again blame everyone but himself, including you. I decided to work with Bruno despite a few bad reviews. I figured everyone makes mistakes. But when Bruno makes them, he will not make them right. The only reason I have not pursued a lawsuit against him is that lawyers cost money and Bruno has a history of not paying the settlements against him. It's possible that Bruno has improved his business practices in the year since we last interacted, but I wouldn't bet on it. Neither should you.

I have to say after the job they…read moredid today, I am not surprised seeing so many 5 star reviews about his work ethic and most importantly, his communication. When I decided it was time to replace my 40+ year-old roof after consulting with Steve, he told me truthfully that he would do everything he can as a local owner and a friendly neighbor (literally one street over) to help me in any way he could to take care of my need for a new roof under my financial limits. He made sure to address any potential issues, he assessed the inside attic space and made sure he didn't see any serious concerns before making any knee jerk assumptions like some do from a visual standpoint. Whether it be from the delivery of the shingles (which he communicated with me immediately to take care of a shipment error on the warehouse side before the job started) so that the job didn't start with the wrong shingle we selected !! His price was fair compared to a couple other companies who he competes against, because he truly wanted the business so he can continue to grow to compete against the other big name companies that upsell from a commissions perspective. Everything happened as he had scheduled. His team arrived in the early morning and finished in 7 hours. Shane assisted with taking care of boarding up the existing Gable vents and cleaning up everything inside the house as well as assisting the rest of the team so that there was no trail of a mess left behind. In echoing another reviewer, after the job finished, "his entire team cleaned up so you wouldn't even know they were there." I am thankful I went with Steve and Stella Roofing Services, and will consider for any future home improvement projects.

Craftsmanship:Marco and his team do phenomenal work and do it right the first time. They always asked for my input when appropriate and needed and they work amazingly fast. Communication:This is a huge one for me as I've hired contractors who are unable to grasp the concept that the client wants their expectation set and met. This is not an issue for Marco -- he just gets it. He is clear in confirming the scope and requirements of the work. He always sets expectation around timing and price that are both fair and accurate. And, in the exceptionally rare case where something will not go as planned (perhaps due weather or other outside factors) he proactively lets me know. Absolutely unparalleled on the communication front. Pricing:You get what you pay for -- he's not cheap but not exorbitant either. Other contractors underbid him. I one--time made a mistake to let price win out of what I knew would be a sure thing. In the end, Marco did the work when the first contractor turned out to be incompetent. I won't make that mistake again. Marco and Housecraft LLC have made me a customer-for-life. Highly recommended!
