We consulted with several contractors and ultimately settled on BBC due to the competitive price, references, and availability. We worked with Eduardo and his team throughout the duration of the project. We are very happy with the outcome. The Quote & Final Price. Of those we contacted, BBC took the least amount of time to get us a quote. The quote was also the most detailed of the ones we received. Eduardo included renderings of the island remodel and surrounding space as well as a detailed breakdown of materials and labor. The quoted price was very competitive -- it was among the lowest. BBC completed the project for the quoted price in spite of a few unexpected complications we encountered along the way. Quality of work. We are extremely happy with the quality of the work performed. We were very up front about certain key requirements going into the project and Eduardo did a very good job making sure to adhere to them. For example, we wanted to make sure the island cabinetry matched our older, discontinued, cabinetry. Eduardo was able to match our own cabinets very closely without impacting the price. We also had a number of other very specific requirements regarding cabinetry arrangement and Eduardo stuck to it perfectly. We got what we asked for. Communication and experience. Eduardo and his crew kept the dialogue going throughout the project. We spoke regularly via telephone, email, and text message. They listened to our questions and concerns along the way and made adjustments based on our input. They were very good at explaining when certain things made sense and when they didn't. Eduardo and his team were not afraid to speak up when they thought their input would lead to a better result. For example, Eduardo and one of his team members (Daniel) had some suggestions about how to cut the granite to wrap around some steam pipes adjacent to the island. This resulted in a much better finished appearance and the additional cost was negligible. We are glad we listened to their suggestions as the final result is better than we had expected. We had a great experience with BBC and would use them again. We recommend them for anyone considering any type of project for their home.

Eduardo's team was highly professional, kind and good hearted. His people are honest, and high quality individuals. Deeply skilled, and always smiling. Furthermore, they were kind enough to keep their dust and debris to an absolute minimum while my family and I were living through the renovation!! Thank you Eduardo and team-- we are very grateful for your help and excellent workmanship.

He communicated with us throughout the project of installing a new Timberteck deck. His crew worked straight on through from start to finish without empty lapses of time. The men are so highly skilled. We continue to be happy with our beautiful deck. Therefore, we asked Ruy to install a Timberteck stair rail at our front doors, which also has withstood the test of time. We'd been concerned that installments like this would compromise the brick, whereby requiring a total rebuild, but a rebuild wasn't necessary. He also advise us on an easy and effective fix to divert water from flowing from the gutter and freezing to ice on those brick steps in winter. Based on the outcome of these projects, and our experience in their progression, we highly recommend this company.

They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.

Our experience with Wander was fantastic from start to finish. Wander promptly responded to all our questions during the quoting process and came by multiple times at our request to ensure we were fully informed about the process, timelines, and expectations. He worked with our schedules to ensure minimal disruption, which we were very thankful for, having an infant son. The project was executed seamlessly and Wander kept communication open with us the entire time. He was proactive in telling us that a few extra days were needed to complete the project. We couldn't be more happy with the results! His team went above and beyond, even touching up and painting different spots inside and outside the house that weren't originally in scope, at no extra cost. The team kept a clean work environment and left no trace that they were even in our home. When a few minor issues were identified post-project, Wander was quick to address them. We will most certainly be reaching out to Wander and Crane Carpentry for our next renovation project.

Wander is professional, quick to respond, fair in price, and always willing to stop by to discuss plans and progress. We were so pleased with his work on the deleading, that we expanded our work with him to include a near-gut renovation of our kitchen, whole house painting, tile work, and some custom carpentry. All were done quickly and at a high quality. I can't complain at all. I highly recommend Wander for really any project that you have, but especially custom carpentry work.
