I had a great experience working with Adamo Stone on our kitchen refresh. Adamo was able to hone the black gloss granite countertop that was already installed in our home (15 yrs old). We also wanted to upgrade our smaller rounded edge sink to a larger rectangle sink. Adamo was able to cut the granite in place and install the new sink, which looks amazing. Such a transformation for this space. I was surprised with what Adamo was able to do with the original stone and appreciated their support to refinish the stone as opposed to installing a new stone, even though this would have been a lot more profitable for Adamo. We also installed a new piece of marble in our kitchen pantry. This piece looks amazing as well. The owner of Adamo, was present for the initial quote and installation. He lives locally in Boston which allowed him to stop by after normal working hours to walk through the project as needed. I will be using them for all future projects. read more

Please be aware that the owner is very disrespectful and rude. He is very unprofessional. This is my very first review on Yelp. I felt compelled to let other customers aware of my experience with Adamo Stone located on Freeport street in Dorchester. My husband and i ordered counter top for the kitchen counters and a kitchen island. It was delivered and installed with one side higher and the other side lower in between the stove area. Also the cut out for the sink was installed with a chip on the granite, a very sharp chip that can actually cut someone if they are not careful. After noticing this i contacted Adamo and spoke with Chowkie and informed him of all the issues and he told me that he was going to see what they can do to correct the problem. Days passed by without Adamo contacting me to resolve this issue. I had to contact Adamo again after leaving several messages. I received a call back from Chowkie who placed the call on a speaker phone and a man came on the phone who identified himself as the owner, started shouting accusing me or someone in my household for the damage on the cut out of the sink area. I tried to let him know that that is the way it was installed and delivered to my home by his company. He asked me if i hire a plumber and the plumber leave my house, and if i need him to come back out again if i would not pay him again? He refused to fix the issue with the chip on the cut out of the sink area. He shouted i can go ahead and take him to court if i wish to do that and slammed the phone down in my ear. I paid over $3500 for the counter top that we ordered. We paid him this money by cash, not credit card. We are very disappointed with the treatment from this company owner. Now we are going to have to find and pay another company to fix all these issues. I will not recommend this company to anyone because of how we were treated in the end by Adamo owner. For the record Chowkie was very helpful in the beginning with the order but in the end the owner has the last word and even if the workers are willing to help they cannot because the owner has the last say on these orders. read more

We placed our order less then two weeks before Christmas hoping to get our new counters in place before my family started showing up. The owner himself was in on Saturday making the template and they had the counter installed by Thursday. Our kitchen contractor had done a terrible job of prepping the kitchen for installing the counters and they did an excellent job of setting things right and making sure the job was done correctly. Not to mention, the counters look beautiful and were installed for half the price of some of the other quotes we were receiving. I highly recommend working with these guys. read more

ADAMO Stone has been my go to Designer/Fabricators over the years with always an outstanding outcome with work done on my home outside of boston, my rental properties in York Maine and, most recently, my personal Home in York Beach Maine. All custom Work ranged from kitchen and bathroom countertops, hallway and bathroom flooring, fireplace surround as well as a custom bar with connected table height attached sitting area, always done beautifully and amazingly enough, spot on my budget! On our most recent project, my husband and myself made our way to ADAMO's showroom and pleasantly walked through rows and rows of large slabs of gorgeous stone outside the showroom with Chowki, a long time employee, as he guided us to the stone I specifically was looking for! We were so pleased to be able to hand pick the exact Quartzite slab that was pleasing to our personal choice of color/shades and natural beauty of the stone.... (unlike the choosing of stone from a 6x6 inch square sample). Rick, the owner, worked with us to make the process go as smoothly as possible even to the extent of pushing the installation up by dilligently moving his installators schedules to, thankfully, accomodate me because of a planned event that I had scheduled! Sal is a great guy who set us up with a fantastic (and reasonably priced) piece, tossed in a sink for us, and helped us put the final touch on our kitchen by doing the countertops. Adamo was quick and the guys are perfectionists. The template and cuts were perfect and look super pricey but for an incredibly reasonable cost (especially for doing work in Boston). Our space was a decent size- 70 sq feet of granite needed and we got it done for a buck over $4000, all in. I used these guys for a remodel in Bostons, North End. Not the easiest of places to get things done. Since the hallway was too small they had to cut the stone and seam it as the piece was over 8ft long. When installation time came they brought in 4-5 guys and the owner, they maneuvered it up the stairs and installed in less than 2 hours. You cannot see any trace of the seam, it looks unbelievable and every one that comes to our home comments on the uniqueness of the stone (by the way they were the only place that had a wide variety of marble/granite on site). I highly recommend them, the owner is very involved and was on site when the work started and finished. read more

At first visit, this place can be a little off-putting. But don't be fooled....it works. We found a stone we loved, haggled enough on the price to get where we needed to, and it looks great. Talk to Chowki. Rick, the owner, does the templates himself and is extremely helpful. The stone yard itself has lots to see...but you have to meander around a bit. Pricing is fantastic compared to others in the city. The did our counters, hearth, window sill, shower threshhold - those last 3 in the last week. It all worked. read more

I contracted a marble counter top installation with Adamo in August of 2017. Since the initial quote, they have been a complete and utter nightmare to work with. I am unable to get anyone to call me back or commit to a date to install the materials. I recently had them install a vanity counter top. While the initial store experience was Ok, I was told upon installation it was "cash only". No check, only cash, and this was over 750$! I had to run out to the bank, and I do not like being held hostage to businesses who operate like this. So overall, this left me with an unpleasant experience. read more

Heard good things about Adamo, but good luck if you chose to use them. Their customer service is terrible. Not only are they rude, but completely disorganized. They might have a decent amount of granite on site, but getting them to move it, so you can see it, could take you a few trips. their time is worth money, but yours isn't.
