After a week it was installation time, guys came, put the tops in place and I noticed that 2 pieces were cut short, waited for "the big boss" to come by and determine 1 piece needed to be replaced, no biggie. For the other piece, which was a 10' run with sink and stove return, he said he could "fix it to fit"...HA! Well here we are on day 2 and the countertop looks worse then it did yesterday..... Tried talking to the the "big boss" and got no where, very frustrating... Forced to settle with it and try to make my own adjustments for the tiled backsplash to cover the large gaps between the countertop edge and the wall just to get the kitchen finished. Not happy!

Ian took the time to talk on the phone when I first reached out about the project and the scope of work. He even reviewed some drawings I had done of the space and pointed out some things to think about for the layout (such as if we moved the fridge, we'd have to make sure we could access a water line for the ice maker). Ian met with us at the house to talk about the project, and we engaged Ian and IDR shortly thereafter. All told, the renovation took about 4 weeks, which was a great timeline and we are very pleased with how it came out. We were very clear about the nature of our bathroom remodeling project from the beginning - but despite that, no permit was pulled by BP for our walk-in shower project! So the entire installed shower had to be removed and then reinstalled 3 months later! Then, the shower that was eventually installed was so dirty on all 3 walls, that the installers needed to come back and clean it since a ladder was needed. Finally, in this entire process, they broke a glass picture frame and vent cover and never reimbursed us. Just a very concerning and frustrating process that took 5 months to properly install a shower! Beware!

We had our kitchen renovated and even after we hit a major snag and had a few hiccups, they remained dedicated to completing the job well, rather than rushing through. There were a few instances where our finished surfaces weren't covered after installation and work was still going on (cabinets, countertop, floors) and it would have been great to have them protected right after installation without us asking, but nonetheless they always followed through on our requests and respected our wishes as the homeowners and the finished kitchen came out great. The crew was respectful and we always felt like they really worked hard to ensure we were happy. Beckmann construction very clearly knows what they are doing and are great at it. Whoever they sent or contracted didn't install properly at all. Carpet began buckling within 6 months. This wasn't a high traffic area and no kids and no shoes were in the carpet. Tried contacting several times via phone and email without response. after a year the carpet looks like it is 15 years old. finally chose to replace it all with vinyl and another company. didn't find out until we went to install it that the carpet put on our hardwood stairs were nailed into with about a hundred staples in each of the stair backs, sides and tread part. Ruining the hardwood stairs as they drove huge amounts of staples into the tread parts of all the stairs. We had NO idea they had done this at the time and they removed the original carpet so they saw how it was previously installed so they KNEW better than to damage wood flooring with hundreds of large staples! Never again! Not happy to find this was done and that when we tried to get a response with the carpet they ignored our contacting them. they never came out to see the work when it was done to check up n who they sent if they would have seen the carpet alone wasn't done right!
