I have a beloved olde family heirloom lamp (the kind that your relatives try to weasel out of you…read morebefore you're mature enough to realize how lovely it is). Two weeks ago, to my utter despair, the little bugger shocked me; intervention was required. Enter Appleton Antique Lighting. It's a bit small, and Route 9 is a bit crazy, so keep your eyes peeled. The gent going through bills off to the side was a bit brusque, but the lady at the register was very sweet. They quoted an *extremely* reasonable price for the fix. They said it might take two weeks, but they got it done in one. And my lamp is back to its healthy, non-shocking ways. Go there. And bring your poor, your tired, your huddled lamps, yearning to be fixed.

I can't say that I know a whole lot about lamps. My bedside lamp had been bugging me for the last…read moreten years or so - I kept having to wiggle the switch to get it to work, and sometimes the light would go out while I was reading, it would go out and I'd have to get up and wiggle the switch again - one of those really annoying little things. Finally it dawned on me that there's people out there who fix these things - I took it to Appleton, and the rest is history. They are incredibly nice there, and while they said it would take a few days to fix, it turned out they were able to sneak it in between larger projects and the lamp got repaired by the next day. Not bad! Basically, I would say that they were very knowledgeable, extremely welcoming and affable people with excellent customer service, and as far as I can tell, they charged a reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again as they certainly have earned a repeat customer (just hoping that I won't have any more broken lamps, haha).

It's not easy to find what you need but they do have a large selection. I think the only time we don't get furniture from that store is when we can't find what we want in the outlet section downstairs. They do have a large selection in the discount area and even in the non discounted section on top but the prices on top are a bit high for us on top. We have even bought a mattress from there maybe 15 years ago. I would check that store first to see if they have what you need discounted and then if you don't don't something you like, check other places.

I have a king size mattress that I paid $3,000. for with a 10 year warranty. It is now 8 years old…read moreand has broken down. Both adults sleeping on this mattress are under 180 pounds each. When I sent pictures (required) I was told the life of a mattress is 7 year. I was offered a $300. credit toward a new mattress and they are running a 15% promotion as well. I feel the sale was a scam to buy the higher priced mattress. I could have had a king size mattress for half of what I paid. Had I known the 10 year warranty was fraud. I expected Jordan's to fight for me as their customer with the manufacturer. I was told the indention needed to be 3" deep before any warantee would be considered. They no longer sell the mattress but said they try to stay competitive and sell various manufacturers mattresses. Will no longer shop at Jordans.....

I know the prices are high but to have EMPTY REFRIGERATORS, till I asked one of the Managers in the area. According to him the store lost power NOT TARGETS FAULT BUT NATIONAL GRID! So, they estimated that 1/4 of a MILLION DOLLARS OF MEATS and all other refrigerator items were thrown in the dumpster! What's extremely disturbing is that some of the public was trying to salvage some of that food!!! With many people suffering from Food INSECURITY ALL WAS DISPOSED! TARGETS REASON: LIABILITY! Why don't they have anyone that wanted to salvage the waste to sign waivers or donate what was sealed and vacuum packed! Just cause it was 6 hours without refrigeration I'm sure it was still healthy to eat and feed just think what A QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS OF FOOD COULD HAVE BEEN SUPER BENEFICIAL! Sorry to hear this from actual Target employees and they feel the same way! What a tremendous WASTE! If they took it upon themselves to forgo LIABILITY FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THOSE STRUGGLING TO MAKE ENDS MEET! The Public should know that Yes Target does not want to harm anyone BUT THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN HEROS TO ALL OF THERE FOOD TO DONATION CENTERS AND THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMERS! I personally very heart broken to hear of such waste!

Even going to grab some other supplies and the shelves were messy and needed to get sorted in menswear. Staffers in short supply. They still do have plastic bags, though. Good thing is found some randomly marked down toys on one of the end caps. Totally unnecessary purchase, but at 75% off, it was a reasonable deal.
