    East Atlanta Village

After being treated so rudely at my last shop after I asked how much longer the wait would be (I…read morealready waited over an hour), I was on the hunt for my new favorite nail shop. Parking: The building is easily accessible and there is parking on both sides of the building. It is located in a very busy area (east Atlanta village). Nearby businesses in walking distance and right next door: hookah lounge, bar, and multiple restaurants. Atmosphere: a mask is not required. When I walked in I was addressed immediately and was treated so kindly. Something I really liked was when u come in they ask u to wash your hands first then pick out your color. That way so many germs aren't e transferred from ppls hands to the nail polish bottles and vice versa. When I washed my hands there were no paper towels but instead there were clean white towels u could dry your hands with. Process: at this point I'm impressed. I picked out two polishes but I couldn't make up my mind which one I wanted. But then this happened.... the nail tech OFFERED to paint my toes with both colors just to see which one I wanted, I almost cried. lol. I REALLY appreciated that. My nail tech, Minh, was very gentle with my pedicure and didnt make me feel rushed. She also immediately greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. The manager was helping clients out of their massage chairs and asked me how I was enjoying my pedicure. The other male nail tech was pulling out chairs like a gentleman for his clients. They highly recommend making an appointment but the tech did say that if they're not too busy, they will take walk-ins. I made my appointment on their website. Deluxe pedicure: They have the massaging/vibrating chairs. For me that's a requirement. My pedicure consisted of the standard nail trimming/cleaning/cuticle cutting. Then the following steps: sugar scrub leg and foot massage, a skin mask, hot towels wrapped around your legs, a lotion foot/leg massage then finally the polish. I love my techs massaging skills. She was firm but gentle. Usually this part really hurts me bc previous techs were very rough. Payment: you can pay with debit, Venmo or cash app. They even have signs with QR code's so if you didn't already have it, u can download it onto your phone. Overall experience: I can honesty say that I have never been to a nail salon where I was treated no nicely. I had such a pleasant experience. I can say I found my new nail salon. . I also watched how they treated other clients and everyone was courteous and accommodating. The only down side was during my pedicure one of the techs was playing his music on speakerphone for 15- 20 min. That is one of my pet peeves. Whenever I'm out in public, I do NOT want to hear ppls conversations or music on speaker phone.

Solid business overall. I was able to do a walk in. Got a mani pedi done same time. Pricing was not…read moreexpensive either which is a plus.

I kept cycling through reviews, and ultimately I just decided on this place. Parking is tight, as it shares a lot with Publix, an urgent care, and so many other places. I was immediately greeted and sat down at the pedicure area. Chairs look new and clean. In fact, I watched an employee spray down and wipe the chair after a customer left. I had a male pedicures and he was wonderful. Very gentle yet firm as he worked on my feet. The water was so warm and soapy. The customers around me seemed happy and happy with their services, which is very telling because I've been to places where customers were either leaving or visibly upset. The place was very clean (including the bathrooms), smelled good, and had great music! I got a gel deep French pedi (basic spa) for 74, including tip (without was about 62), which I'd say is average for the area. Plus, the experience was worth it to me. I will definitely be back and I'd highly recommend!

I wanted to like Lush Nail Bar Grant Park soooo bad, but NO. I always end up remembering why I…read morestopped coming. The work is inconsistent and they charge whatever they want, so ask the price before they begin. How inconsistent? This is my third review. My initial one was after a couple of bad experiences. Found another salon, but a couple of years later after my nail tech moved, I gave them another shot. Two visits in on that go-round, gave them four stars, but my time with Lush Nail Bar Grant Park was short lived because I had to come in (on three different occasions) to have a nail repaired within a week of service. Fast forward a year, I pop in and here we are... I requested a gel overlay and also needed to soak off dip powder. When checking out, the total originally showed: $65 + $10 Soak off = $75 It went to the tip screen, but before I could add the tip and close it out, the screen flashed, and the total changed. I briefly saw it say $75 + $10 Soak off = $85 before showing the tip screen again. Noticing this, I asked her to go back to the itemized view to explain why the price just changed. She really didn't, or it wasn't very clear to me, but I did not want to be that girl, so I just paid (and tipped as usual). I get to the car and notice on my receipt that she had rang me up for an acrylic FULL SET and soak off. That was the change. I did not get a full set as these are my natural nails. I go back inside and the young lady who works the front desk tries to re-ring it up to confirm what the price should be, but she could not figure out the discrepancy. Note: This is not the same person who originally checked me out; the nail tech did. At this point, she asks Vinh what did she ring up. When the totals still did not match - Vinh just starts adding things in to make it match. "Oh, extra $5 for shape. $5 for nail length." In the end I now have a receipt that now says $54 for the main service + 10 soak off + $10 mani w service + $5 shape + $5 length. *Also, so I paid extra for shape, but were they really? I already had almond nails. She asked if i wanted them cut down. I said, yes, you can cut them down so they're all even (since this thumb is shorter). They were not all cut down and that thumb is still shorter! So, if you're going to charge extra for it, make sure you do it right! Also, the ring finger was to be white and gold as on the nail polish card (used to pick colors). It came out just gold flakes. Looks like this should have been a coat of white, and then the coat of gold flakes. I didn't really make her change it for the sake of time because it was already on my nail and still looked ok.. but in hindsight, with as much as I paid (for white nails, no designs) I would've been making sure we got the details right. The nails are cute. I just didn't appreciate the price changing after we've already totaled it - and to realize it wasn't a glitch, but her trying to slip things in.

Found them on Google, called ahead, and was told to come in at 3 for SNS. I arrived at 3:10 on a Sunday to a nearly empty salon, which was surprising for a weekend. The front desk lady asked what I wanted and called across the salon to a young man who was working on nail decals solo. He visibly did not want to stop what he was doing. With only two people in the shop, someone had to help me, and that fell on him. While he finished up, the front desk lady was actually sweet about the service. She brought over colors and even suggested a fun option: a clear SNS base with gel polish on top for a jelly color effect. I loved the idea and agreed. When he was ready, he held his hands out without a word and got to work. No greeting, no conversation. He soaked my nails in what I can only describe as boiling water before filing everything off, which was genuinely painful. When I mentioned the jelly color technique the lady suggested, he said it wasn't possible, started doing my nails anyway, and never explained further. The paint job was rough. It looked like I did it myself with my non dominant hand. The whole service felt rushed despite the salon being practically empty, which made it more frustrating given that I called ahead specifically to be considerate of their time. Five days later my nails are destroyed. The SNS has cracked on most fingers and taken chunks of my actual nails with it. The gel polish is flaking off. Press ons would have held up better. Would not recommend for walk ins. If you go, make sure you have a dedicated nail tech you trust.
