When they started services, I told my technician that one of my toenails has an ingrown, and asked if she could help cut around it. She ended up ripping the entire ingrown out, which was very painful and also illegal. I have never had a nail technician do that to me before. I flinched and was in pain for most of my service, and she laughed at me making jokes with the other techs. After checking out their Yelp page and seeing all of the rave reviews (especially those from my fellow Elites), I felt comfortable that I was in the right hands. I booked this appointment on Classpass after a few months of strengthening my nails back up with regular manicures and missing my long acrylics. Booking via the Classpass app was incredibly smooth and there were a number of spots available that worked with my schedule. Located in Buckhead in a small plaza on a busy street, you'd really miss it if you blinked. I didn't check into parking around the back but upfront, it's pretty limited but they have about 4 tight spots right out front. I snagged one that I was able to drive right into vs. needing to parallel park (tysm) so it turned out to be a prime spot for me. I arrived just a few minutes prior to my appointment and when I entered the salon, I was greeted by a number of happy faces and friendly greetings. There were 4 or 5 customers being serviced at the time and I was quickly seated and prepped for my appointment. I was lucky enough to be paired with Nick and, wow. What a gem! The next time that I return, I HAVE to make my appointment with Nick, and Nick only. He was sooo friendly and sweet! I am (surprisingly) not super chatty on a regular day but he brought it out of me, lol. I swear he knows my life story now. He asked me so many questions about myself and told me about him, it was like chatting with an old friend. Nick was also incredibly patient as I figured out the length and style I wanted to go with and my gel removal. I decided to go with a natural tone and was being super indecisive on how to go about it, but Nick recommended the best process to get the shade I was envisioning. It ended up perfecttttt. I was really excited because I've never had hard gel done before and honestly... I don't think I can go back to anything else. The staff greeted me and my friend when we walked in and we were seated. (I was actually late because I got lost and didn't realize that there was a parking lot behind the salon and they had called me to ask if I was still showing up) I showed Jeli an inspo pic and she helped me with picking a color/base for a French ombre and she got to work. She took off my old gel and shaped and buffed my nails and an hour and a half later I'm honestly so obsessed with my mani. She really took the time to make sure it looked good. Definitely would come back to see Jeli when I come back to visit Atlanta. I think it was pretty expensive though. Needless to say, after my first visit to Elan Organic Nail Boutique, I am utterly devastated by my experience. The Russian manicure with GelX did not meet my expectations. The pedicure felt rushed and incomplete, as the calluses were not removed as promised. Lastly and most importantly, I am extremely upset about my brows. The woman who did my brows literally ripped a patch of hair out. Tried to hide it by filling my brows in immediately after waxing and plucking them so I wouldn't notice. It was disheartening that she didn't even acknowledge her mistake, and allowed me to go on about my day as if nothing happened. Imagine how I felt looking in the mirror after washing my face, only to discover a noticeable chunk missing from my eyebrows. The very next morning, I reached out to the salon to request a refund, hoping to resolve these issues amicably. Although the owner initially agreed to fully refund me, she later reneged on her promise. To add insult to injury, the owner insisted that I come in person so she could assess my brows, despite the fact that I had already sent her clear photographs demonstrating the bald spot that wasn't there when I arrived at the salon the piror day. The request was particularly inconvenient, given that I live on the opposite side of town and had to endure a 30-minute drive to the salon, followed by an hour back through Atlanta's notorious rush hour traffic. When I met with her, the owner was not empathetic to the fact that I was devastated at the fact that I was missing a chuck of my eyebrow, but instead made comments like "I need to calm down." She went on to make more excuses, claiming she didn't know what my brows looked like before the service. However, everyone in the nail salon the prior day saw what my brows looked like before getting the wax. I even provided her before pictures and she tried to dismiss those by saying I had on makeup or there was a filter. Which are all false. She continued to dismiss my concerns with comments like, "sometimes things like this happen." In what universe is it ok to botch a customer's wax on their face and try to cover it up? I'll wait. Then try to gaslight said person and not provide a refund for the pain, suffering and inconvenience of it all. I feel completely undervalued as a customer. DO NOT patronize this business. Under no circumstances will I ever return to this establishment again.

My service was supposed to be an hour and 15 minutes. I was started at 4:45 and she rushed to finish me at 5:40 to get to another client and did not finish my nails. I got dip powder and she did not clean up my nails after, get rid of the excess powder, or anything like that. The shape of my nails look terrible on top of it. I will not be returning and to top the whole experience off, after feeling like things were not clean, a roach started crawling around comfortably. The staff noticed and did nothing. The nail technician recreated the inspiration photo perfectly, and I left very happy with the results. I was surprised, however, by the final price and the additional $10 charge just to clean my cuticles. Every nail salon I've visited has always included basic cuticle care as part of the service, so this extra fee caught me off guard. Unfortunately, my second visit was a completely different experience. My appointment started about 15 minutes late because my technician was finishing another client. I showed her the same type of inspiration photo, and I knew she was capable of recreating it based on my first visit. She asked me twice if I wanted it exactly like the picture, which made me feel as though she was trying to rush through my appointment to get to her next client. Unfortunately, the finished set looked nothing like the inspiration photo. I paid extra for the detailed designs, but what I received was a mediocre set that didn't reflect what I had requested or paid for. Another thing that made me uncomfortable happened during checkout. A gentleman who appeared to be the manager (he helped me previously for the check-in) walked to the front and sat down while I was paying. I don't know if he was there as a witness or for security purposes, but it felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. I pay for my services without issue--even when I think the price is excessive--so I didn't appreciate feeling as though I was being monitored. I know it wasn't a coincidence because I was parked directly in front of the salon, and I noticed he left the front area immediately after I got into my car. I won't be returning. Her salon is in the cute little house on Maple Dr. Make sure you look closely as there are only yard signs in the front of the house. There are a few parking spots out front, but more around back. She greeted me when I walked up and I was shown to the wall of polish. She also offered me some water. I always have a hard time deciding on a color. I told her the turquoise I had in mind and she was so helpful is pulling out all the shades of turquoise she had. I then sat in this comfortable massage chair for my pedicure. She even turned on the massage options for me. With the scrub and warm towel wrap, the pedicure was wonderful. We moved onto the gel polish. Again she was so helpful when I showed her what I wanted. She paid much attention to applying the polish and made sure it had plenty of coats on and it looked great. She also offered nice conversation during my visit. I went on vacation for 2 weeks with the nails and one finger did start to chip a little after the first week, but all the others lasted for the duration of my trip (see photo). It's terrifying going to a new eyebrow threader because every time I've tried, they get the shape wrong and mess up months worth of shape correction. Even when I just ask for a clean up, people get it wrong. Not Jabeen though. She was very warm and welcoming when I walked in and made me feel comfortable from the start. She sat there and listened to my concerns, analyzed the photo I gave her, and gave me the option to pause in the middle of the threading to give feedback. When she finished one eyebrow, she gave me the hand mirror to take a look... it was PERFECT. Super precise lines and shaping to match the photo I wanted. And it was very quick! Most people take a million swipes of the thread to clean up eyebrows, she took less and slower swipes. I'm so happy with my eyebrows. Thank you Jabeen! I'll definitely be coming back. BONUS: She has online booking that's so easy to do. The other salons I've been to didn't allow appointments for eyebrows, so I'd end up going and then told that I have to wait an hour for a wax appointment to finish (after driving 45 minutes to get to said salon).
