I ended up getting gelx instead of regular tips, but note that it is much more expensive. They really do nickel and dime here for every add on. I really want to have give this place 5 stars but sadly I cannot. Exhibit A. I came on a hr lunch break during the week and was serviced immediately since there was no one else in the salon. Exhibit B. The nail techs weren't quick to jump up and help me as they just looked and laughed at inside jokes I suppose. That made me feel a little uncomfortable. Exhibit C. They had a variety of wines and drinks that I noticed in the cooler however no one ever offered me a drink. I think by then I told myself this maybe be first and last visit. The final straw was not more than one week after the service my nails began to slowly chip in the corners. Not to mention the nail tech managed to give me round and square shape nails. Meaning she rounded them but the corners were still square. Moral of the story is the atmosphere was beautiful but the service didn't match the ambience. Came here for a last-minute reservation before a wedding. They did my full set beautifully as well as my toes. As far as my niece is getting a regular manicure, the work wasn't as clean as it could be. One of my nieces is 10 turning 11 in seven days and my other niece is 11 and they charge one as a child and one as an adult because they're cut off age for children is 10 while I understand their policy. I do think that was a little odd considering the 11-year-old just recently turned 11 I am from California so I know there is a price difference when it comes to paying for nails in Atlanta versus paying for nails in Los Angeles, however, the price was relatively high for a short almond full set. Although the prices can be a little steep, this establishment makes up for it in their ambience. This is a beautiful place that you will feel like you're having a luxury experience. I found Surin on Instagram and this is my second visit at this salon. The first time I got SNS, a bright yellow color for summer. My nails turned out really nice, although my nails were filed unevenly (right and left hands weren't same length) and it was obvious that my nail tech smokes cigarettes because of his scent. I went again today to get both SNS and a classic pedicure. I honestly could've painted my toes better myself but the older lady that did it massaged my legs well. A few of my toes were filed too short and not the square shape I asked for twice but they didn't look bad at all. Surin did my nails again but he seemed annoyed with me for whatever reason, maybe he's just nonchalant... I don't know. My nails turned out better than last time, even though my left pointer nail is still much shorter than my right due to over filing. I just wasn't impressed with the overall vibe and customer service. I waited for 10 mins in a pedi chair while I waited for them to finish setting up and opening. I arrived at noon, I feel they should've been here 15 mins before opening to get everything together. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I just moved to the area and am looking for a nail spot I can actually trust (so many are shady). THIS IS ONE OF THEM. Have you ever wondered why nail salons don't post their prices on websites? It's because they charge different prices at different times, charging as much as they can when they feel they can get away with it. Why else would they not post prices for everyone to see and be transparent? I got my nails done (SNS) and I called ahead to ask for a price. The guy tells me one price and then when I go get my nails done and it's time to pay he adds $5 to it. Why? He "claims" he told me a higher price on the phone. But there's no proof of that phone call so I have to pay. Then I go to the same place to remove them, and he does it again. He says it's $10 to remove on the phone, then when it's time to pay, magically it's $15. They also ask weird questions like if you have a job so they can figure out if they can upcharge you. I just don't trust this place anymore. I don't even know why I still tipped--I really shouldn't have because this place doesn't deserve it. It was nice they were able to see all 5 of us right away, and my pedicure looks great! My SNS nails on the other hand left a bit to be desired. I spent $65 on an SNS "manicure" and pedicure. For $40, I was informed at the end when I inquired why he hadn't cut and pushed them back that manicuring my cuticles would have cost an extra $5. How is it not customary to include manicuring the fingers before adding any type of substance to nails, whether it's just polish or an acrylic nail? Especially when it's already $40?! It's not in my neighborhood so it's not necessary for me to return. Just disappointed and wanted to alert others. Total ripoff and wouldn't return for SNS even if it was close by. David, the assistant manager was extremely rude when I came in. Not even 24 hours prior, I came in and spent $65 on a pedicure. When I got home, I noticed one of my toes were not how I liked them. The next day I called back and asked if I can come in at 5pm and get the polish off and fixed. He said yes. When I come in, he has the nerve to say he is going to charge me to change the polish on one toe after I spent $65 already with them the day before. He told me, "if I didn't like something I should of told my nail artist yesterday". I used to love this place and they've always done such a good job when it comes to my nails and been very nice and professional. however lately the owner seems to have a very big head about himself and has been overcharging people significantly more than he used to. We made an appointment (about 30 minutes out) and were quickly seated. The environment was clean and professional; None of the employees were on their phones (as I have seen elsewhere) and were very attentive. The selection of colors for both gel and SNS is quite large, too. What I most appreciated was that I did not feel rushed. My one complaint was that I did have to relocate for my manicure. All there of us had a manicure/pedicure combination, however, as I was located in a middle chair I ended up having to relocate to a table away from the other two girls I came with. I went back to have it fixed and then it began to fall off again one day later.
