Buyer beware! They have rock bottom attractive prices online but will tack on an "included add on" that is a bunch of random fluff (theft protection on a brand new car? Statistically speaking the likelihood of a car made after 2010 needing theft protection is very VERY slim, even in high car-theft Los Angeles), additional paint "protection," seat "protection" and a bunch of other vague details to hike up the price to whatever it is that makes it similar to other dealerships. When you decline these "included add ons" they either ignore you or in my case, don't call you back (or call you back very late at night). They prioritize in person customers rather than online (even in these COVID times), and while the texting option was fantastic at first, it was a nightmare because I kept getting passed around to other people and in each case had to start all over from the beginning as there is little to no communication between sales reps. They also pressure you to finance a car through their company rather than outside financing or paying cash...which I get, that's their business, and they want to make money - but I had three different sales reps ask me to submit an application without even talking to one another to see if it had been done. I asked repeatedly to purchase a car over the phone/online, and was assured this could happen by multiple reps and then, was told I needed to come into the dealer to provide all the information for my trade in. (spoiler alert - I'd already sent my trade in info to 4 other dealers including a video, pictures, and all the details and was able to receive reasonable quotes.) They are disorganized (at best!), highly unprofessional, and let's be honest, shady AF. One rep claimed to be understaffed yet in my 4 days of trying to buy a car with them, left me speaking to no less than 9 different staff members. Even if they have YOUR CAR seriously question buying from them or at least know it's gonna be full of headaches and frustration to the point that you may drive away in your perfect car, pissed off and annoyed at the entire ordeal. read more

This place sucks. They were super attentive via email and text messages, trying real hard to get me to the dealership. I don't live in van nuys. But even if i did this dealership is not conveniently located at all. Anyways Got approval for a specific car I wanted. Received an email from somebody saying I was approved and I just had to come in with my deposit and to sign for the loan. So I get there, got ignored for thirty minutes. And then got the run around from some fast taking huckster that didn't listen to a damn word I said. He Tried real hard to sell me the wrong car, saying it was the only one I could afford. Didn't listen when I told him the model I wanted, and kept showing me the wrong model car with a smaller engine. And then kept asking me what I thought about the picture on his cell phone (still not the correct car or engine) I had filled out all the paperwork ahead of time and gotten approval, but I then proceed to get dicked around some more by this grease ball sleaze bag salesman saying he needed to verify my income. (All this was done already bear in mind. So I didn't have that dumb shit on me at the time) He walked to the water cooler, told me he just spoke to his manager and he said that I needed my bank statements then walked away and then got ignored for thirty five more minutes. And I eventually just left. Fuck this place. The "low prices" are just be incentives to get you in the building and get you so frustrated they're wasting your time that you'll agree to whatever bad deal they propose to you. The cars advertised online aren't even at the car lot anyways. I wouldn't be surprised if this setup is a big front for credit fraud. Don't go here. They're fucking dirt bags. I will absolutely be reporting them to the bbb the second I get on my home computer. I'm fairly certain that the style of sales they're doing (ye old bait and switch) is highly illegal. My entire experience plays out with a time code a la a Law & Order episode, however it is not depicted in this review. Even with new ownership, the quality of service is deplorable. I've been bringing my car here when I'm in town for the last four years and I am quite disappointed with the events that transpired today. Today I did speak with Roy, the Service Manager; however; I left knowing he didn't give two fucks after I cited the lack of communication. Cliff's notes, I never received a call back about the status of my car and repairs were done without my consent. The entire staff seemed excited about their new t-shirts though. To add the icing on the cake I had to wait for my car for another 10 minutes due to a Snapple Truck issue. Snapple is not the best stuff on earth to me anymore. My car is finally delivered and my parting words were a "whatever" by Chris, after I was unsympathetic to his mentioning of a Snapple Truck. He wasn't even driving my car so I don't even know why he was involved, let alone fanning the flames of the worst 45 minutes of my day. I receive the keys from the actual driver, and I thank him, cricket. Open up the car and all of the protective plastic, paper mat, and service car are still in the car. I went to Russell Westbrook Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Van Nuys and I didn't even get a lousy t-shirt. Rather than recalling vehicles, DaimlerChrysler Motors should recall this franchise. When is yelp going to allow zero stars? Update: Well back again as car is still under warranty. I was particularly tickled when I was repeatedly told I needed a new air filter based on mileage, even after I informed them I personally installed a brand new air filter last week. The service rep kept saying based on mileage, does no one actually LOOK at the fucking filter? I kept asking if they looked at it and they kept telling me it should be replaced every 15,000 miles, never acknowledging that it is literally 7 days old. Russell, this is how Jiffy Lube got a class action law suit, you better tighten up. I'm a female that can fix certain things on my car myself, and I've only owned Jeeps. I know my Jeeps. Your people are lying to me (and most likely others), and telling me that things need to be replaced when they don't. I even have the recommended "factory required maintenance guide" your staff gave me. I'm nowhere near due for the things your employees keep telling me I need despite having no such diagnostic code, nor actually pulling the item to look at it. Had an issue with my Mopar extended warranty expiring prematurely due to Mopar clerical error. Connected with GM Raed Malaeb and explained, showed receipt and proof warranty should not have expired. GM Raed took care of business and fixed the issue quickly. He made me whole and that shows they know how to do the right thing for customers. Great shop! See Claudia in finance for great assistance. UNETHICAL! LIARS! DECEIVING! STAY AWAY!!! This business (LAX Automotive) and its affiliate (Russell Westbrook CDJR) engage in unethical business practices. They took advantage of my sister and mother who are females, belong to a minority and are uneducated about financing, interest rates, etc. My sister doesn't have the best credit, so they told her that she needed a co-signer. My mother who has good credit co-signed for her. They signed a sales agreement with ridiculous terms, practically making them pay more than double at the end of the financing term for a used vehicle. She drove away with a bad deal but had a car so my advice when I found out was for her to send bigger payments to reduce the amount of financing she was going to pay. I wish I could say that was the worse of it, but the worse was yet to come. Less than two weeks later they received a letter from the Finance Manager (Eduardo Ochoa) if that's even his real name, stating that they had to return the vehicle because the financing fell through. It didn't make sense but it was a bad deal to begin with so they were more than willing to return the vehicle. When they came back to the dealership to return the vehicle the Finance Manager offer them an even worse deal. My sister and mother refused to sign the new agreement and wanted to simply return the vehicle and get a refund for the fees that they paid. The finance manager did not want to refund them nor take the vehicle back. Eduardo Ochoa claimed that returning the vehicle wasn't an option, yet the notice clearly said that the vehicle needed to be returned and that any fees paid would be refunded. Since the dealership did not want to take the vehicle back and refund the fees, we are now seeking legal counsel. In the latter I've found out that they ran my sister and mother credit again without their authorization. I called Capital One which was one of the credit inquiry's and they said that they received three applications and all three were approved, therefore loan approval was never an issue. This dealership is running some type of loan fraud. I've place fraud alerts and security freezes on my mothers' credit now. Don't buy from this place! Don't let them run your credit! read more

He was honestly the only person I was impressed with at this dealership. So what's the issue with Russel Westbrook Van Nuys? THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS A SCAM. I was a little skeptical the first two times I had taken my car in due to it's beyond long wait and leaving an oil stain on my tan cloth seats. Everything aside, I figured I would give the place a third chance. I took my car in for its regular service at 10,000 miles and the man told me i needed about $1,200 worth of SERVICE .. ON A NEW CAR. I'm all up for taking care of the things I own .. but i'm not up for scamming women. Out of confusion, I called a different Jeep location to confirm the specifics of my vehicle and they told me my car only needed a basic oil change! I then went back to the man assisting me to explain this to him and he insisted that the other Jeep location didn't know what they were talking about and told me it would show me what he was talking about in my owners manual. At that point, I figured it would just be best to leave. Its was short after that I decided to check my owners manual as he suggested .. IT SAID I NEEDED ONLY A SPECIAL SERVICE AFTER 20,000 MILES. Wish I could give no stars. The worst place I've ever been to and every encounter I have with this dealership weather it's service, finance or sale it's beyond ridiculous and unacceptable. When I first bought the car it took us 4 hours to speak to the finance person to sign our contracts. They kept trying to keep me distracted from the fact that it was taking so long and kept saying your next right now right now they are going to be with you. But weren't!!! Finance person was rushing us now and stating we are giving you this and this with the vehicle but turned out I ended up paying for all of that "we giving you". When we told him why we came here, "online on your website says in and out within 2 hours and yet we've already been here for 7" he says so what let the internet say whatever it wants we don't care. Immediately red flag went up there but I didn't want to have to go through this long process again. Signed my paperwork and left. Monday I took my vehicle in for the protector application which mind you was only suppose to take 4-6 hours ended up taking 4 freaking days!!! I'm beyond furious about that because you can't get ahold of service person and they keep taking messages for him to call me back and you can never get a call back. When I pick up my vehicle nothing was really explained to me. They pointed out my car was down the way and you go out that way but never told me or showed me what they did to my vehicle. When I get home I find a dent in the back of my vehicle. Call the office immediately and of course you can't get ahold of anyone again!!!! A dent is a dent depreciates my vehicles value and I just got it a month ago. By far the worst experience literally that I've ever had at a dealership. They seriously need to investigate this place. So much staff that just stand around conversing but nothing gets done and nobody knows anything. Do NOT and I say again DO NOT buy a vehicle here or use the useless service department. one star is even to high of a rating...DIRECTED TOWARDS SALES TEAM AND NOT SERVICE long story short I was forced to get a new car due to insurance matters so my husband and I went to this dealership to look at a few. We arrived and looked at a few, took one for a test drive but just couldn't meet on numbers that worked. From the time we left the dealer and over the next day I received an insane amount of texts from a sales manager showing me more cars that they had on the lot....so why didn't they show me these when I was at the dealer??? Anyways, I found a car that fit the price point needed and the deal was made. They agreed on removing dealer extras as this was a used car, not new. They offered home delivery so I took it....BAD IDEA....I received a few texts and photos the day they would be delivering the car however IT WASNT THE CAR I WAS BUYING. When I asked the sales manager repeatedly if they were sure this is the correct car, I was told yes, do not worry about it....until the wrong car was delivered. I even joked with the salesman who delivered the car asking if they have ever delivered the wrong car, and to my amazement, he said it happens more than it should. We finished signing all the paperwork and as the salesman left, my husband and I went to verify the vin....It was the wrong car. They didn't even make sure the paperwork matched the vehicle leaving their lot! The salesman returned to my home and took that car back to the dealer. The following day a new delivery was setup and the correct car was coming, again being reassured by the sales manager that this was the correct car. When the car arrived at my home, I had a phone call with the finance manager and it felt like the things I was being told, was just to close the deal, some which simply felt like lies to make a sale. Absolutely terrible experience with this dealer. Come to find out, I have 3 major things wrong with my purchase and  thankfully those items are under warranty, but on this dealers checklist of items these 3 items were checked off as working and good condition....so as I type this review my car is at a different dealer, having these items taken care of...I am in complete shock that this dealer allowed this car to leave the lot stating that it was in great condition. If they actually focused on selling the car and NOT just closing the deal for a commission, maybe all of the above could have been eliminated from the start...use caution if visit this dealership as they add hidden costs to the cars sale price and even try to hide it on the finance paperwork...If I had had more time to shop for a car, I WOULD NOT have purchased from this dealer...worst experience of my life buying a car and will NEVER recommend of go back to this facility read more

Last year we purchased our Dodge from Russell Westbrook and we were very happy with the experience. Three weeks ago my wife called RW to make an appointment for repairs due to a recall. It took my wife 15 minutes to make an appointment as the RW representative kept stating that there was no recall on our vehicle (we received a notice from Dodge and verified it by going to the Dodge website). After repeatedly providing the representative with VIN and recall notice number, she was finally able to schedule the appointment. We took our vehicle for the recall appointment today. When we arrived there was no appointment in their system. The RW representative that helped repeatedly asked my wife if she was sure that she called RW. My wife repeatedly said yes and she noted that the person that helped her recommended a courtesy inspection also be completed. As the RW representative asked my wife for the 4th time if she was sure that she called the right dealership, I said that unless there is another dealership called Russell Westbrook Dodge around here, my wife had called RW. The RW representative then mentioned that perhaps we called a West Valley dealership! We returned a few hours and I had to drop off my wife at the dealership as there was no guest parking. After waiting for five minutes for the RW representative to appear, he proceeded to tell her that the recall repair was completed and her vehicle will be brought up to her. Absolutely no mention if they completed the courtesy inspection. After waiting for 10 minutes for her vehicle, she approached a RW person who told her that she could go to the back to get her own vehicle, which she did. Side note, my wife is 8 months pregnant. I usually only write reviews on positive experiences but today's experience was so terrible that I needed to mention it. The RW representative that helped us in the morning should not have questioned my wife several times about calling the right dealership. That same representative should have told my wife if the courtesy inspection was completed and if they found something noteworthy or not. Someone should have brought my wife her car. This visit should be considered a complete customer service failure. I am writing this review so RW can improve on their service. It was a good experience buying our vehicle last year. I've been a longtime customer at this dealer ship purchasing around 4-5 cars in the past few years. With that being said there's a-lot of service involved. whether it's brakes, oil changes, check engine lights etc. Payman has established himself as a great trusted advisor to myself and his customers. He constantly goes out of his way to supply excellent customer service and ensures that his customers are satisfied. Constantly providing feed back and engagement by giving updates on the service making it a more comfortable experience for me. This review is from a few days ago but decided to remove it to give this dealer another chance. On the second day of trying to call I got no answer. How are you even suppose to make an appointment if no one answers the phone. Ridiculous. Found a listing on a BMW M235i at this dealership, decided to drive from Long Beach to this dealership. Upon arrival one of the sales guys directed us to their tight little customer parking spot. We get out of the car, he asks us if we have an appointment. We did not. He asked us if we're looking to buy today. I was intending on purchasing this vehicle I've seen but I wanted to check it out first so we let him know we're here to check it out. He then tells us that since Covid they have to have an appointment. The soonest time they can have us come back was tomorrow. I asked him if there was anything later for today since it was 12pm and they don't close till 9pm, maybe they need to prep the car? He said tomorrow. So we're like okay??? He then gets out his phone and says to ask for him (forgot his name). We're like sooo what time do we come when is our appointment? He barely glances at his phone doesn't jot anything down. We tell him is 2pm fine? He says sure. Still doesn't jot anything down. I don't understand why you would guide us to parking when you could ask us if we have an appointment first before settling us in. We go home after a very disappointing trip decided to check up on the listing. It was gone. So we give the dealer a call. No one answers!!!! We've called multiple times! Did they hold the car off because we want to see it?? Is it sold? Is it worth the drive? Horrible communication and lack of professionalism from the sales rep. We guided the whole convo and he stood their oblivious. Never even saw the car on lot. He didn't even know if it was in stock! I found this car the other day, today they hiked the price up and then the listing was gone 2 hours after leaving the lot. Just from this, I wouldn't want to even try talking numbers with a rep. I respect the hustle but at the end of the deal I decided not to go through with the sale due to lack of manufacture warranty & a lack of the dealership offering a "cool off" grace period. When addressing these necessities they never gave me an unclear answer on warranty & even said I had to pay $1500 for a 2 day "cool off" grace period! This should be free standard at any dealership just in case the car has anything faulty off the lot! While leaving the dealership the management turned on me & talked s*** to me when leaving the dealership! Not a good look on the business regardless if I decided to buy or not. read more

I just bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee L at this dealership. I worked with Mohamad Saab and the discussion started via their online sales app from their website. The negotiation process with him was very smooth and we arrived at a fair deal. All of it was done via email over about a week. Due to high sales volume several cars identified were sold during the process but he still negotiated in good faith regardless of the car. Given that I have three small kids going to the dealership to negotiate was a non-starter. When I arrived at the dealership the car was parked out front. All that had to be done was confirm credit and wait for them to wash and prepare the vehicle. Great experience. Ask for Mohamad Saab and you'll have a good experience. read more

So annoyed! We waited 6 hours to get assigned to a financial manager when we agreed to lease the Jeep Wrangler ~2 hours in to our appointment. Sal (one of the sales managers that sits in the fish tank looking cubicle in the lobby) gave us incorrect lease pricing (12,000 vs 15,000) during the negotiation and then he improperly inputted our info., resulting in a very huge hours long delay. In the end, they also hyped me up to a waived monthly fee for bringing my brother in but only to be told it won't apply because I've had my Jeep for 3 mos. already. Few months ago my husband was in search of a new Charger Scatpack we saw that they had one online called the dealer they told us to come down that they still had it, we specifically told them please dont make us drive over there because our drive is an hour away they told us come down we have the car waiting for you, as soon as we walked in they told us car just sold . This past weekend I was dragged back into the same gimmick because Im in the market for a Durango SUV. Spoke with both Sergio and Kevin . Sergio told me he was working on numbers for me And never called me back. Following day I get call from Kevin I told him I was expecting a call from sergio but he never called me back but If he wanted to help me out he could cause i had to time to wait on other Sergio. Kevin agreed to help me I clearly told him about my past experience with my husband situation that they made us drive an hour away just to be lied to so he assured us it would not happen again to please give them another chance. I agreed only if he could do $450 a month and $5000 down on the suv I wanted , to please dont waste my time. Long story short soon as I get there Kevin tells me vehicle sold so he had another one different color but sane model during negotiation Kevin leaves and here comes Sergio and another guy telling me I had initially spoke with Sergio and he needed to finish the sale with them. So they end up telling me they cant do $450 a month that the suv i want is $600 a month and Kevin offer is not valid. So after waiting for 5 months, my vehicle was finally fixed. I had called the number the BOT referred me to call and never answered the phone and never received a call back after leaving voicemails so I finally took the time and showed up to the dealer have my car fixed the manager whom I previously dealt with was there and he attended me. Finally a repair was scheduled. They fixed and repainted the entire front bumper , speakers still rattle however , brakes were cleaned so it won't squeak anymore which was good. They did provide a free rental but with restrictions like you cannot drive more then 150 miles per day. If you do you have to pay for the mileage. It took them about a week and some change to have it ready. When I received my vehicle back it was detailed so thank you for that. Would have been nice to have a full tank but I know you can't have everything unless they wanted to provide excellent customer service. 3 stars cause this was a bad experience that no customer should go thru but at least they corrected most of there mistakes. And my front bumper looks good as new. read more

Just as background: I've purchased quite a few cars in the past few years for personal and business use. This dealer so far is the shadiest Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep Dealer I've dealt with in this state. Here's what happened - do what you will with this information. Here's the deal: they won't sell cars at the prices they advertise. We qualified for all the discounts, got a good financing offer, didn't even ask to negotiate on the price of the car, and then sat down to buy. The price of the car was advertised and not negotiated upon, as we came in to purchase the car at its list price. We were told by the manager that to receive the advertised price, we would need to purchase around $4,000 in packages, or else they would be unable to make any money, and hence would not sell the car to us. These add-ons were utterly unnecessary and comically overpriced, which further turned the whole thing into a $4,000 shake down. We directly asked them if we could purchase the car at the listed price without the add-ons, and we were told no; as even after qualifying for all discounts, the only way to purchase this vehicle at the price advertised, would be to purchase it with the add-ons. They were aggressive and to the point about it. We declined on the add-ons and they told us that they would not sell us the car at the advertised price. This defacto means that the item for sale is not being sold for the price advertised, as the item is now a part of a compliment. They told us that this is a policy all Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler dealers had and that we had no choice but to go with it. Upon leaving the dealer, we pulled over and called two local dealers in SoCal and were told explicitly that this was not Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler policy, and assured us that they all had policies against such practices. This dealer, and in particular, their sales manager that we dealt with, was really aggressive about it and left nothing to ambiguity. This is some pretty slimy stuff. Like really shady and distasteful. And Under the California Vehicle Code section 11713.1(e), this is also quite illegal. Hence also why the other dealers had policies against it. They don't deserve even one star. And they certainly don't deserve your business. They definitely won't get any of ours. I'm sure they'll deny it but we have this both in writing, and even better, in a voice recording. Since this came from their manager, it looks like this is recent company policy and that they have been pushing this on a lot of their recent customers. And if writing this out kept at least one other person from getting screwed over or bullied into just giving them $4,000, then I'll consider this long review a success. Obviously, all documentation will be submitted to the DCA, BBB, DMV, and our company's legal team on Monday for review. read more

Avoid this Dealership!!!! It's a joke! I wish i could givr zero stars! They sold me a Jeep that is a total lemon. They are so quick to push you to write a positive review when you purchase and I am so glad I didn't. I purchased my jeep August 2022 with 18 miles. It has been in the shop 3 different times since and jeep is now buying it back due to it being a Lemon. Not to mention, the first time it was in the shop someone caused damage to my jeep (above the front driver tire), luckly they took responsibility and covered the cost of repairs. It only had about 1600 miles on it. I called the dealership to get a copy of my loan application and no one answers or returns calls. Now that jeep has sent me the buy back contract, I need to cancel my gap coverage. All I am doing is trying to figure out how that works and once again I've called several times and I keep getting transfered to different voicemails, or it just keep ringing, or I get hung up on. This is just the worst experience I've ever had with a dealership/buisness. I am extremely disappointed as I've always been a jeep supporter but after all the issues I've has with this dealership and lack of customer service and response from their employees and with all the issues I've has with my jeep, I'll probably never buy a jeep again. This was my second jeep and my partners 5th. We are extremely disappointed with our experience. AVOID this place, they will not help you. read more

UPDATE: 6/17/2021 I have upgraded my rating from 2 to 4 stars as the GM did reach out to me and we came to an agreement to help settle some of the bad taste from the "price hike." So I commend the customer service and follow-up. As far as the trade-in decrease, that still feels sketchy, but there could have just been an error, and if I had gone through with trading in the car, I'm sure I would have been able to get the original offer. The aftermarket dealership add-ons are still just something to be aware of. All dealerships do it, and I can't say if theirs is more or less expensive compared to the rest. Another thing all dealerships do is focus on payments rather than total price, I don't blame them, it's just something to be aware of. Original Review: Bought car 5/28/2021 My overall experience here was mixed, but I would say if you can find the same car at a different place, you may want to consider doing that.  I was buying a used car (a non CDJR brand) and they happened to have the car that checked all my boxes (otherwise I probably would have left).  But there were three things that really stood out as negatives to me, and probably happen to others. 1. The price hike.  I had been looking at the car online for a while, and the price had always remained the same.  After confirming a Friday appointment, the price jumped $1,000 from Thursday to Friday.  Online there is a "market" and "sales" price, and the new "sales" price was the old "market" price from a day before!  I told the sale manager that online it was cheaper, but of course when we loaded up the webpage, the new, higher price was present.  After the deal was made, I realized I had my laptop in the car and that I had used it to look at the car the night before.  I showed the salesman that I was right and it was $1,000 less the day before, and he said that he would talk to the GM and get it taken care of (update pending on this) 2.  My trade-in price got reduced behind my back.  Talking with the sales manager, we had agreed to a trade-in price for my car.  Then when I was with the finance guy finalizing details, he told me he received a price that was $1,000 lower.  This only came up because of some documentation issues with my trade-in (neither mine nor the dealership's faults), and when I wrote a new check to cover the lack of trade-in, the value was lower than previously presented to me.  I am confident if there were no issues with the trade-in, I would have never seen that they reduced the offer price!  Again, another kind of shady thing. 3.  The aftermarket markups!  I know all dealerships do this, and I don't know how this one compares to the rest, but here's what to expect. -$1500 for theft protection/GPS tracking good for 3 years.  That's $500 a year.  LoJack is a one-time $700 price for comparison. -$1500 for Xzilion.  This is essentially a stronger scotchguard for interior and a wax/sealant for exterior.  Can have a detailer put plastic coatings on interior and apply a high level paint sealant for around $200 for comparison. -$995 Etch guard.  They say if your car paint gets dinged up, bring it into the dealership for a no-fuss repair/touch-up (up to $5,000).  This may be a good deal, though I would imagine in practice it would not go as smoothly. $495 Nitrox.  This is nitrogen for the tires for extra gas mileage, longer inflation, etc.  Normal compressed air is 78% nitrogen already, just saying. The worst part is that these things were all non-negotiable!! Which I think is insane.  Maybe when you make an appointment, see if you can get to them before they put in all the aftermarket things. Optional things you can take off (and I did). $995 GAP insurance - coverage for total loss basically before your own insurance kicks in. $4,250 warranty.  That seemed expensive, but hard to say.  My car has 11 months left on factory warranty, so I'll see what the extended warranties look like about a year from now. Just a heads up, as all dealerships do, they only focus on the monthly payments!  They give you a bad interest rate on the payments, and then to negotiate, they'll say they can't lower the "price" of the vehicle or markups, but they can lower your monthly payment, acting like they're doing you a favor, when in reality, they just slightly changed the interest rate, to a still relatively high rate, and you aren't really saving much money.  So try to focus negotiations on price and not payments. read more
