We love valleyfair! We get season passes every year and never get bored of going. There are so many rides for the kids and you also get to go to the water park with your season passes every year as well. This year they took away the dining pass but it wasn't a deal breaker. The value is still there and worth it. Also our favorite hula hoop girl performs all summer long. We try not to miss her shows because she brings so much joy to our daughter.

Started going to ValleyFair many years ago and started bringing my kiddos the last few years. It's nice that they have a Pre-K Pass for kids ages 2-5, we have definitely put that to use the last few years with our two kiddos. Our most recent visit was this past weekend when we went to the recently updated waterpark - Superior Shores. Our younger son loves the new water slides for younger kids while our older son loves the larger water rides now that he is tall enough to go on them. We also went on the Mad Mouse ride as a family - it was our 4-year old's 1st time on it and he loved it. ValleyFair has a nice variety of rides and entertainment for different age groups and is one of our go-tos for summer and early Fall (Halloween activities are fun too).

This place keeps getting more expensive! $20 for parking. $44 admission purchased online. The HIGH ROLLER and Delirious were closed when we went. Steel Venom closed for a bit when there was a lightning nearby. Park closes at 7pm on a Monday, which was a bit early, but I got to go on all the thrill level 4&5 rides (besides HIGH ROLLER and Delirious because they were closed). Didn't go in the water park. Most of the lines on this June day were less than 15 min. Long.

    Us waiting:

I stood in the mad mouse line for two hours. A little girl puked right before we got on and they had no cleaning supplies for 30 minutes. Why don't they have it there already? I don't know. My children really wanted to go on this ride and now they are having a heat stroke and we have to buy an 8 dollar water. Update: A really nice girl named Nayasa(I think was her name), was extremely nice and helped find cleaning supplies, she also cleaned the puke up, get this girl a raise!! While the other workers on the ride sat there laughed and sipped their water.

this is my venti strawberry açai lemonade with light ice and no berries. there's a black particle floating in it.

I went to the Starbucks at valley fair and i asked for a venti strawberry açaí lemonade with light ice and no berries. however, they did not give me light ice, there is a black particle floating in my drink, and they charged me nine dollars. I would not recommend buying Starbucks from valleyfair.

    Beautiful weather for Valleyfair!

Always a good time at Valley Fair! Opening weekend and it was busy with school field trips, but that will lessen over the next week or two. The Snoopy world is perfect for my 4 year old and timid 7 year old and my 9 year old goes on all the rides! Such an easy way to entertain your kids. Might as well buy the pass if you're local to get the free parking and I think it's only 2 visits to break even!

Stick with standard cabana rentals, if you have a large group. They have umbrellas and lockers throughout the park.

Avoid Saturdays throughout the year. Now off season non-summer you don't have many options. Sundays are less crowded. During the summer middle of week is always best.

For rides at the waterpark I highly recommend hurricane falls and it can fit up to 4 people so great for groups.

Wild Thing lives up to it's name. I almost quoted the Troggs to start this review but I couldn't…read morelive with myself so I went back and took it out. (It still applies though.) Running parallel to Highway 101, Wild Thing clearly announces itself as the headliner of Valleyfair. It was the first Morgan coaster, to my knowledge, that I've ridden, and I was a bit leery, thinking it might be annoying rough like old school Arrow coasters can be. While not buttery smooth like some more modern coasters are, Wild Thing passed my test in the turbulence department with flying colors. It has just enough shakiness to keep things interesting. Even the back row was completely enjoyable. The first hill, 207 feet, is a doozy, but the airtime off the second hill was the highlight for me. There was more airtime riding at the front, too, which I found interesting. It was a brisk day when we went to Valley fair with a light rain, and this green monster almost lost my gray winter skullie cap to a mighty updraft. On one of our 4 rides the rain picked up a bit and stung as it hit my face while we barreled through the course. That was actually enjoyable, in a strange masochistic way. The bunny hills after the mid course brake run (more like a 3/4ths course brake run) are a blast and the multi-hill tunnel at the end sets you up perfectly for mugging for the on-ride camera. Even if you don't shell out for key chains and whatnot don't miss stopping at the photography booth on your way out. I've never seen funnier on-ride photos. After just one ride, you can see where that flash in the dark is and do some crazy poses yourself. Wild Thing was never much more than a station wait. (Our first time riding the queue stretched just a little beyond the station.) One of the ride ops was a bit of a hard ass. He tried to walk of shame some kid off the train even after the guy with the measuring stick said she passed. Looking like a sheepish shoplifter, she passed again, barely, and the whole station erupted in cheers and applause. That same hard ass said I couldn't reride if there was anybody waiting at all, even if there was empty rows, after another employee had given moving to an empty row her blessing. Booo! He also made me take my hat off and, okay, he was probably right about that. Wild Thing is nearly flawless. My sole critique is that the transitions between the elements in the middle might be a little too long. That massive turn around looks really cool, and there's some nice hand chopper moments in the ensuing straight away but it's a little long between hills. Wild Thing puts this place on the map. We rode it 4 times, but I could have easily went for a dozen.

The ride was awesome it was flying going really fast and the drop is AMAZING I would deff recommendread more

It has a decent first hill and lots of fun twistiness after. It was a cool, slightly rainy day when my friends and I visited Valleyfair and we really got a nice breeze as Excalibur whipped us around. Excalibur has handsome trains with a nice logo and a cozy spot at the back of the park. (Maybe a bit too cozy. Rumor has it ol' Ex might get the axe so VF can expand Soak City and give the water park it's own entrance plaza and parking lot.) The ride ops on Excalibur were great on the day we visited. Maybe it's because it was opening weekend and the season was new and fresh, but they were doing a great job trying to not send trains out with empty seats and joking around to boot. One dude gave one rider a hard time for being a Cowboys fan and it was priceless. "Enjoy your ride on Excalibur everybody! Everybody except YOU, Cowboys fan! " (Do not reprimand this worker, Cedar Fair corporate types. That sh*t was hilarious!) I liked Excalibur but truth be told wouldn't be too upset if Valleyfair took it down. Well, maybe if it made lines for Renegade significantly longer. Cause Valleyfair has another coaster built atop wood that is exhilarating in a way Excalibur only hints at. We almost rode Excalibur a second time, mostly to enjoy the ride ops schtick but opted instead to to strap into the awesomeness that is Renegade. Get your Last Call on here at Excalibur but it's not marathon worthy like Renegade or Wild Thing.

A roller coaster at Valleyfair…read more I noticed this year they changed the ride. The ride goes forward & backwards 2 times each. The last time it goes backwards it stops for a moment of suspense. When we rode it it did not have that moment. Makes the ride a lot less thrilling.

I…read morehad only ridden Cedar Point's similar but larger and with two twisty ends Wicked Twister once and didn't remember it having such a kick to it. Probably since I rode in the middle of the train as it was getting late in the day and I still wanted to ride the then new Valravn. Well, let me tell you riding in the front car makes a big difference on these impulse coasters. Seeing everything, reaching the maximum height on at least one end of the short course, it wasn't enough to put Steel Venom into 5 star range, but I wouldn't have minded riding a second or third time. The back might be extra fun, too. When the holding brake gets applied on the back arm of the course near the end of the ride it's a jarring, exciting sensation and it seems it would have maximum effect there. We sat watching SV while waiting for Delirious and the structure visibly sways when the train passes after the holding brake gets released! It took us awhile to ride Steel Venom as it was shut down for clean up after somebody blew chunks on it, and that in itself is an indication this is an intense ride. Too short, but fun. Steel Venom isn't top tier like Wild Thing or Renegade, but I'd rate it as the third best coaster at Valleyfair.
