The Links at Dred Scott is one of the best mini golf courses in the Twin Cities. Some of the things I love about this course is the variety of obstacles, whether it be ricocheting your ball off a rock to make a turn, launching over a water hazard or trying to make the hole on top of a plateau, this course has it all. I also love the very last hole, if you get a hole in one you win a free round!!! One down side is they only except cash, I'm not sure why, with today technology its soo easy to set up your business to make it credit friendly. Tip: After 9:00pm you can save $2 off, visit website for coupon. Also they have lights for night golfing. read more

We are in MN from CA and have played many a course while here. The Links rates number 1 in our minds! The course is beautiful and manicured to a tee. (Pun intended.) Someone is always out and about cleaning the water areas and making sure you can retrieve any balls hit in the drink. Can't say enough good words about this place. They are laying new carpet as well. Oh, the owner is very nice as well. Go on over. I guarantee a very good time. read more

Over the past few years, having enjoyed indoor mini-golf over the winter and during inclement weather, my son and I were looking for an outdoor experience. It turns out that there are (at least to me) surprisingly few such venues in our fair metro. One is The Links at Dred Scott. The day we decided to go was sweltering with tropical dew points. Given the heat index, maybe indoor golf would have been a more rational choice. But we pressed ahead. We each pocketed water bottles to stay hydrated and set out for the first hole. A welcomed breeze helped to mitigate what otherwise could have been oppressive conditions. Really, the only downside during play was a lack of shade. The holes are long enough to be challenging. Varied enough to be interesting. The attractive, well maintained layout includes frequent changes in elevation and winds around and over several water hazards. There are few if any mechanical gimmicks. The difficulty is achieved with hole placement. Often set on a small raised mesa-like platform requiring a delicate touch. Or, placed very near a drop off into the water necessitating controlled speed to avoid overshooting the hole and having to fish ones ball out of the drink. The course is large enough to accomodate crowds. It was busy but play was generally brisk. There were only a few delays as we waited for the party in front of us (a family of four) to hole out. This was a great outdoor mini-golf place. We discovered the place this year and unfortunately, it was the last day for the season. All of the water was drained for the winter so we didn't get to see the full beauty of the place. The owner really takes pride in the place. All of the holes were kept up very well. We will be returning this Spring when they open. read more

Stopped by on Memorial weekend and this place was pretty busy (more than I expected). Still had an awesome time with the family and bf. Well worth the drive as the green/holes were in great condition and not worn down like other mini golf places I've been too. Interesting and entertaining hole layouts. Highly recommend, had a blast!! What a great summer activity! This hidden treasure in the midst of the industrial side of Old Shakopee. Great for "kids" of all ages... The coarse is easy enough to make even an amateur's self-esteem stay high, but has some level of difficulty, so the pros aren't getting hole-in-one every hole. This is not a windmill and fake dinosaur kind of mini-golf, it is much more classy. Bring a group or go as a couple, but know you are in for a cheap ($6), fun day/evening on the coarse! read more

The Links is a Bloomington tradition. Granted that it is very early in the season, I was very impressed with the level of upkeep. The water was clean, the garbage cans were emptied regularly, the grass was mowed and the gorgeous flowering trees accented the area nicely. There are eighteen holes, all at varying pars, from 2-4, however I can never seem to stick to those. I am not particularly interested in mini-golf... but even I had fun. The staff was engaging and the owners stopped by to see that everything was going smoothly. I would definitely return here, especially with one of the coupons for buy one get one free that are regularly published! read more

This place is amazing! I just went with some of my friends and we had such a great time! The holes are super fun, and it's very family friendly, but there's only one thing that I'd say could be better (and maybe it only applies to me since I'm not good at golf): I hit my ball into the water and it went into the middle of the little pond/waterfall thing and I didn't know how to get it! It's like they need some tool that helps you remove the golf ball from the water if it goes past the little curb. Other than that, it was amazing and I'd definetly recommend!! read more

Failed to honor their own coupon. Very out of date. The coupon does not say that it needs to be printed. The manager would not do anything. If you have a large party you need to print multiple copies. One coupon gets you one buy one get one free. read more

Great family or date spot! The grounds are meticulous, the landscaping is perfect and it is clean! Some very challenging holes and a chance for a hole-in-one on a couple of more moderate holes. The owner cares about this facility. The course lays out well so that even on busy days, the play moves along. CASH ONLY - so come prepared. We have been playing here for years. Great ice cream spot across the street (Scoops) which is the perfect way to top off a challenging game. Plan for a good hour of fun and sun in a beautiful setting!! the website said there was a printable coupon you could bring if you arrive by 11am to get $2 off a game. we rushed to get there and arrived exactly at 11:00 but they wouldn't take our coupon. so i was already pretty annoyed since we were actually there by the time they said. and then they didn't accept credit/debit cards, only checks (what?!) and cash and they didn't have an atm there. if you look at their website you really have to look for the part that says only cash. if that's your policy, be clear and say it on the front page. at that point, it just didn't feel worth it to start driving around to find an atm and i was already annoyed about them not taking our coupon that we decided to leave. read more

Ick. The golf is fine, but the service is awful. I tried to use a cupon on my phone, but he made us drive home and print it. I got there a few minutes after 11 oclock when the cupon expired because i stopped to save a snapping turtle in the road, but he wouldnt let me use the cupon. After that, the golf was fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. read more
